- Georgia (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay, Serena was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the accommodation was perfect, with everything we needed. A really cute and cosy space that felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend.
- Shane (10/5): Will be back! - Host Serena was lovely. Complimentary fresh milk and bread. Let me check out a bit later as there was nobody checking in that day N/A
- Lionel (10/5): - Lovely location. Super room. No bus service. Need car or taxi really.
- Jordan (10/5): Absolutely brilliant really welcoming and a sense of homeliness as soon as you reach the property - Absolutely everything would highly recommend N/A
- Stuart (8/5): Highly recommend staying here - Great location. Friendly accommodating host. Quiet, clean, tidy, and great value for money.
- Lisa (10/5): - Lovely comfortable well equipped place. I really appreciated the bread, tea, coffee etc. There were. lovely views of alpacas and sheep.
- Andrew (10/5): - Really lovely apartment and easy to get a taxi if needed.
The hostess was very welcoming. Have recommended to friends
- Janet (8/5): Very good accommodation in a lovely location - Comfortable space with all the amenities that we needed. Host was very helpful and friendly. Lovely country views.
- Carol (9/5): Amazing find - Welcoming host, clean spacious room with everything you could need, great for more than one night . Great views Great place, the only tiny niggle was a noisy fridge.
- Guest (10/5): Lovely attic apartment with great views of the countryside. - Lovely attic apartment within a cottage. Rural location with great views of the countryside and animals. Alpacas and sheep could be seen grazing in the fields. Lots of amenities: comfortable bed, tv, fridge, kitchen, shower room, wi-fi, settee and free milk, bread and jam. Only a short drive from Lancaster city centre (10 minutes), we booked an uber and it only cost £6.50. The attic room is up two flights of stairs and would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
- Rachel (10/5): - Fabulous accommodation. It was close to the university so perfect overnight stay for university open day. Host was lovely and provided everything we needed including milk, bread, jam and biscuits.
Easy to find and park. Comfortable accommodation. Would definitely stay again.
- Guest (10/5): - Lovely friendly host and good, clean accommodation with little extra of bread and milk
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay, can't wait to return - Great accommodation, very clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed. Host very friendly and helpful. Will be back Nothing
- Helen (9/5): Fantastic little getaway! - Fantastic self catering apartment in a quiet location. Spacious, clean, everything you could possibly was provided, including basic breakfast stuff (bread, milk, butter and jam). It was like a home from home. Owner very friendly. We would definitely stay again. The communal areas (hallway and stairs) are in the process of renovation, but that is not reflected in the apartment itself which is well finished and a credit to the owner.
- Denise (8/5): Great stay in lovely location - Location for work. Modern. Had everything I needed.
- Will (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful little place, great views! The owner is so nice. Highly recommend Nothing to not like!
- Julie (10/5): A well-appointed self-contained unit with lovely country views. - The accommodation is about 12 minutes drive from Lancaster, but conveniently located to a lovely country pub and Coop supermarket. The accommodation is clean and spacious, with beautiful views out onto fields of sheep, lamas and runner ducks. We watched the owner training sheep dogs from our window, which was fascinating.
- Taylor (9/5): Superb - Was a clean and cosy bolt-hole for the evening. Thanks for the bread and milk, jams, everything we needed!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (9/5): Superb - Lovely location and very friendly host. Had everything we needed.
- Anonymous (9/5): Perfect for a couple. - It was a perfect self contained self catering apartment in a quiet location. The bed was clean and comfortable with an en-suite with good fixtures and fittings. The kitchen area was very clean and functional and I had everything I needed to cook my evening meal and breakfast. The lounge area is perfectly adequate and comfortable for a couple staying. The wifi was good and strong enough to use to stream a film and to work. There was a desk big enough for me to setup my laptop and mouse and ample spare power sockets.
The host was very helpful but not intrusive. Everything was as I had hoped it would be. A great stay and one of the best nights sleep i have had when travelling away for work. There were some decoration work to be completed, but very minor and nothing that detracted from my stay.
- Marcela (10/5): All it’s meat what I was looking for. - The ladies don’t have a problem waiting for us ever the late evening. The room was spacious and clean. The place have everything you need for your stay, but not when you requested anything extra then all you wishing are fulfilled immediately.
Really recommend this place if you looking good distance to Yorkshire caves. None.
- Melvyn (7/5): Could be better - Good location, fairly close to motorway and relatively low cost. Not quite as smart as photos suggest. The apartment could benefit from a more complete overhaul - it felt like everywhere needed another coat of paint and attention to detail. Also the wider property appeared in course of renovation so a little rough around the edges. I also didnt like the barking dogs (even though they were behind a glass door) as they were a little off-putting. The property was very warm- not helped by being unable to open windows due to an issue with flies (according to host).
- Victor (7/5): Very good - Very nice to have fresh milk and bread/butter/jam for breakfast Some communication about exactly how to reach property would be helpful as there are several properties on site and took a short while to find the correct one.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Excellent and good value for money. - It was in a lovely quiet location, Serena was very welcoming and gave us all the details we needed for the stay. Very clean throughout and nice touches such as the bread, milk etc for breakfast. Nice view and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Great stay, would definitely recommend. Nothing.. perhaps not for someone with mobility issues as stairs to room.
- Peter (9/5): Comfortable newly converted 'loft' room - Lovely, spacious room with new kitchen and bedroom fittings.
Great views over surrounding countryside and easily accessible location.
Bread, milk and tea/ coffee was nice touch for breakfast, thankyou Nothing
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Paulette (9/5): Lovely, brief stay. Would use again - The property is situated in a beautiful location, close to Lancaster but rural. The facilities were excellent, lovely hot shower. Host left tea, coffee, toast. The kitchenette lifted the property from a normal hotel room and cosy snug for tv for any time spent indoors, made a real difference. We opened a window and a large amount of flies popped in, think there was a nest. This needs to be sorted
- Sharon (10/5): Country gem ! - Loved our stay at Lythe Brow ! Was a gem of a find tucked away from the bustle of Lancaster. Accommodation was modern , new renovated and well equiped in the upper part of a barn. Accommodation had a very comfy bed and well equiped kitchen. The bread/ butter/ jams was very nice touch. We were delighted to find a washing machine as we had planned to use a launderette in Lancaster, instead we could use time to tour the surrounds. Host was very communicative and was always on hand for anything extra you needed, not that we needed anything. The view out kitchen window of farmlands and sheep was very soothing. Delighted with our tranquil stay !! Nothing !! Even a bit of rain could not dampen our time.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - Room was very cosy and peaceful, and the owner was nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
- Kirsty (10/5): Would go again. - So nice It was all good.
- Vitalijus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): A good value, very comfortable apartment but difficult for someone with mobility issues- ie. stairs. - The owner was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was a bit unusual but very well furbished and comfortable.
The parking was a bit awkward but not a problem for us. We made use of a nearby, cheap, Park and Ride to go into Lancaster. We very much enjoyed our stay there and can really recommend it. Nothing important.
- Maddy (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): Chilled relaxing night away - just what the doctor ordered - Out of the way in beautiful peaceful surrounds
New renovation done to very good standard well equipped & stocked with everything required for a self cater if required
Bread milk & butter a nice touch
Great nights sleep Couldn’t fault it
- Anonymous (10/5): Welcoming Lythe Brow - Situated just outside of Lancaster in beautiful countryside, a converted barn with both character and charm. Inside it is clean and very well equipped with its own kitchen. We found the bed as comfortable as our own at home and the shower perfect. As an added extra, our host had supplied us with tea and coffee and bread and milk. It made the whole experience just that little bit extra, and we would not hesitate to stay again in the future. No negatives.
- Angella (10/5): It fitted the bill perfectly! - The views from the windows were lovely. We were made very welcome, and had everything we needed. It was situated so that we could use it to take a break on our journey south down the M6. Perfect. Fairly nearby was the Eagles head, which had lovely food. It was sad that there wasn't really a walk we could do from the property. However there are plenty of scenic places a very short drive away.
- Roy (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (9/5): Superb -

- Roy (9/5): Superb - Well equipped flat in a quiet rural location
- Nigel (10/5): Very comfortable place, very convenient and would thoroughly recommend. - Very convenient for Lancaster. Had everything we needed. Nice hot shower. The breakfast provision was an added extra that we hadn’t expected but was very much appreciated. Nothing
- Rose (9/5): Superb - Newly decorated all equipment you could need
Inc desk Lots of stairs to attic conversion
- Maheshwar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (9/5): An all round outstanding property in a peaceful location would highly recommend staying here . - Loved the peaceful location , really comfortable bed , excellent facilities with fully equipped kitchen , great strong shower . Place was spotless and had a great nights sleep . Owner very accommodating and had milk and bread in the fridge when we arrived nice touch . Would highly recommend this property for a stay . Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Superb - Bread and milk was a nice touch, really lovely place and the apartment was great. The bed was just a bit squeaky but that was the only thing.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely the best the place ive stayed.. Serena was amazing and thought of everything you could possibly want..
- Jayne (8/5): Very good - Comfortable accommodation Nothing
- Chiara (6/5): Pleasant -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (7/5): Excellent location, welcome and facilities but sadly marred by a very creaky bed !. - Excellent peaceful location, welcoming host and the attic conversion with sitting area was perfect for overnight travel stay. The one significant issue was the bed which was the very creaking frame of the metal bed - we both woke numerous times and also woke each other as a result of the noise on turning over. We both had a disturbed nights sleep as a result. This is a great shame as otherwise would be top of our list for overnight stay within easy reach on way to or back from the Lakes.
Had some difficulty with temperature control on shower but as only one night this might be lack of familiarity with controls.
- Christine (10/5): Peaceful overnighter in lovely little farmhouse flat. - A lovely self-contained apartment on the top floor of a farmhouse surrounded by fields and beautiful countryside. Everything you would need for a self-catering stay. A super-clean, bright, warm and cosy space. Our host was so welcoming, interesting and friendly and we really enjoyed our chat with her. Nothing to dislike!
- Severine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerhard (10/5): Definitely on our list for a return visit and next time for a longer stay. - The location was exceptional, with views from the kitchen looking out over alpacas in the hillside paddocks. Nothing worth mentioning.
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Supakit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): We would highly recommend for a relaxing stay, really good facilities, peaceful and clean. - This was a really lovely, fresh and clean little apartment.
- Gary (10/5): Superb value for money - Super clean , great space and lovely location
- Keith (8/5): Very good - Really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was lovely and so well equipped. Clean and tidy and great communication from the host. Only downside was the squeaky bed frame - any movement resulted in a squeak. It was sooo comfy though.
- Peter (10/5): A lovely stay, home from home. - The apartment is in a really beautiful location, a few minutes from the lovely village of Caton and a few more to Lancaster. It's a brand new apartment and designed to a very high standard. Serena is a perfect host, even providing ample breakfast provisions for the next morning. Caton itself has two or three pubs/restaurants, a takeaway (Brookhouse), and a well-stocked Co-op for other meals locally! Perfect for a few nights' stay and super fast fibre internet if you need it. Thank you, hope to visit again soon. Book with confidence!
- Csh (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location to stay and visit Lancaster. Rural location just minutes away from the city centre. Quiet and well-appointed apartment. Warm welcome and a perfect location for 3-nights
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Lovely view, and a great space
- William (10/5): Amazing secluded find. Highly reccomended - All of it. Really friendly and hospitable host. Helped explain clearly where to go and was helpful in letting us know where to eat in Lancastee. Very comfy bed, and a really wonderful shower. The kitchen space was spacious. Needs a car to get there but only a short drive to Lancaster. The Llama farm was owned by next door neighbours so could only look at them but it was fantastic to watch them in the morning
- Roderick (10/5): Exceptional - Great welcome, a lovely peaceful stay
- Matthew (9/5): Great for a 2 day stay in the Lancaster area - Sarena was very accommodating, keeping in contact with us before we arrived for a late check in. She gave us the keys and explained anything that was neccessary. She then kept a low profile and allowed us to enjoy ourselves. The room was spacious with a well-stocked, and functioning, kitchenette. Great views out of the kitchen windows. Furniture a little tight around the bed, but all functional - didn't really have any need for the chest of drawers, or the desk, but this may come in handy for others.
- George (8/5): All was OK - NO BREAKFAST
- Nick (9/5): Clean, quiet, great value for money. - Almost everything, bread provided, milk in fridge was nice touch, usually don't get milk bread when in self catering.
Serena is a very nice lady, attentive to your needs.
Lovely location, really quiet, nice vista's and llama's in the field behind.
I would happily stay again. Emergency light in the room, I'd move this to just outside the door, don't think it's a legal requirement in the room, just in common spaces.
There's nowhere to put your soap in the shower (barring the floor - needs soap holder on wall).
Very minor gripes just to fill the form in really.
- Matthew (10/5): Brilliant! Will stay again! - Fantastic! Great location. Very welcoming and friendly host. Room was amazing, spacious and very comfortable
- Muhibur (10/5): Lovely - Location
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - It's a very well thought out self contained unit, which feels very spacious. It's very peaceful there and there's a great view of alpacas out of the window! Serena is very welcoming and friendly Nothing - liked it all
