Guest Reviews
- Michael (9/5): - Room 2 was a little dusty
- Capil (8/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Perfect distance to all the local attractions and friendly hosts - Wonderful location, great southern hospitality! Perfect place to stay if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Queenstown central but still be nice and close to all the action when you need to get places Nothing not to like!
- Linda (8/5): - Spacious room with lovely colours and a good view. Private bathroom, bubble bath tub, little kitchen area.
- Katy (10/5): Fabulous views and stay, highly recommended - Fantastic location in the Gibbston Valley with amazing views along the valley. 8 min walk to Mt Rosa wines, and you can walk (1h) to Coal Pit and Peregrine wines.
Mick and Emma are great hosts, and they are sharing a wing of their home with you, although you are totally separate, with your own entrance.
Thoughtful breakfast items ( thank you) , lovely spa bath, bed, view! Nice cutlery and crockery for 4., and kitchen facilities, see below, so although there aren't restaurants within walking distance you can make an easy meal with the wine you bought from the local winery with awesome scenery. Supermarket in queenstown.
It was a special stay, so glad we could be there 2 nights, lovely meal watching the sunset eating outside. No dishcloth ( just a washing up brush) or saucepan stirrers, but there are two large saucepans and a fry pan, two hot plates and an electric slow cooker sort of thing to use if you want to cook. The sink is in the bathroom with its own wash bowl.
- Jane (9/5): - The view and location. Close to Arrowtown. Very quiet. No sink in the kitchen area.
- Louise (10/5): Recommend - Nicely furnished, clean apartment with lovely views. It’s connected to the main house but felt private. Bed was comfy, room was warm and we were able to put our bags in another room to free up space. Private bathroom (with spa bath and shower) and kitchenette (fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, microwave). No sink or water in the kitchenette, but a tub was provided for light washing up which was a good solution. Good wifi. Owner was easy-going, friendly and helpful and there were provisions for breakfast (bread, muesli, milk, yoghurt, butter, homemade jam and peanut butter). It’s out of town - between Arrowtown and Cromwell- but there are a handful of vineyards within 30 min walk/stumble, including one around the corner, which made for an enjoyable afternoon. Arrowtown about 15 mins drive for food. Glad we found it! Nothing - enjoyed staying here :)
- Prasad (8/5): - We liked the house. It included breakfast and all other facilities. Location also is good Towels can be replaced to softer ones.
- Debra (10/5): Beautiful decor and comfort - Vicinity and comfort
- Dhillon (10/5): -
- Elaine (9/5): Pleasant place to stay for the night - Nice views & quiet
- Patricia (8/5): We enjoyed our short stay. - We were picking up friends in Queenstown the following day and were happy to finds somewhere a little way out of town. There is a nice pub not far away where we had a pizza. Unfortunately it closes at 6 but we knew that so were there in plenty of time. Friendly owners who live on the property. Comfortable accommodation. Peaceful location. Nothing at all. It totally suited our needs.
- Cátia (10/5): Absolutely amazing ! - Absolutely amazing place and lovely host ! in the middle of vineyards and so many bunnies in the evening hoping around . great star gazing !
the property is amazing and the hot tub is divine ! only stayed one night , I wish I had stayed longer !
- Marco (9/5): Great place to relax. - In the middle of vignards,cl8ye to Cromwell an Queenstown. All good
- Hana (9/5): Nice stay in nature. - Comfortable beds with nice sheets. Beautiful views on mountains, very quiet. Missed a sink where to wash dishes. You must wash it in the bathroom. An outside barbecue would be nice, as there is no stove inside.
- Cassandra (10/5): -
- Gillian (10/5): -
- Philip (9/5): -
- shameel (9/5): Absolutely loved the place. Highly recommended - Free Breakfast Probably need Living Area
- Georgina (4/5): - Location and accommodation was lovely It was not clean which really let it down.
- Steph (10/5): Highly recommended 🤩 - Perfect location, really tasteful apartment and lovely vista 💚 Nothing!
- Angela (6/5): Would use again as clean and comfy for a couple. - The place was awsome and very clean, with a great view and comfy beds. We were ony there for one night and it was the best nights sleep i have had in a while. Host communication was good and would happily use again but only if travelling on our own. The only let down was the lack of a kitchen sink. Minor but essential especially if staying with kids. A bit strange having to enter directly into a bedroom and having the kitchen off the bedroom so a lack of privacy if 2 couples staying
- Steven Bennet (9/5): - Quiet and peaceful in the countryside. Enjoyed our stay. A great location for bungy jumping and wine Although you probably do not need to lock anything around here a key for the room would have been good.
- Öner (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful stay. - Helpful and lovely hosts, beautiful scenery on the garden. N/A
- Natalie (8/5): It’s a beautiful spot. I do recommend it if you’re looking to stay outside of the main hub - Location out of town, beautiful views. Comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The sound insulation between the upstairs main house and the accommodation downstairs isn’t very good. I appreciate that life is happening around me but hearing every footstep, scrape, and voices weren’t ideal for a peaceful stay.
- Raelene (10/5): A wonderful place to stay near Queenstown. - Lovely views, peaceful, catered for our gluten free requirements. Squeaky doors
- Rosemary (3/5): - We liked the mountain view We did not like the location. The apartment was not advertised as beings connected to the main house. The pictures were deceiving. It was not clean. The coffee pot smelled moldy. The washing machine had clothes in it that I had to remove before I could use it. It was not close to any restraunts or other attractions.
- Francis (9/5): -
- AKIKO (8/5): 最高のロケーション - 裏庭の景色が最高
ジェットバスあり 掃除が雑。
キチネットに流しがなくて風呂場までいかなければならない
- Rehu (10/5): Comfortable and easy with a view - The view was amazing! The staff were lovely and so nice! Easy to communicate with!
- Kelley (10/5): Comfortable and warm - Friendly host and beautiful view, comfortable and toasty warm beds
- Eddie (9/5): We had a memorable stay in a peaceful, and tranquil accommodation - It was a very quiet, relaxing and picturesque location with a very likeable Manager. All of this contributed to a very memorable and enjoyable stay. There isn't anything that we didn't like about this accommodation.
- timothy (10/5): -
- Phillips (9/5): -
- Kristina (10/5): Cosy wee getaway - Everything was fantastic! Comfy bed, well appointed kitchenette, and the bath was heavenly. And the shower was great too!
- jui (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): - Location is perfect. Very comfortable warm and absolutely everything you need for a peaceful break. Liked everything there. Stunning scenery. Nothing to dislike
- Andra (9/5): -
- Helen (10/5): -
- Emily (7/5): -
- Nick (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (9/5): Beautiful location with spacious studio, great bed and nice and warm. I would stay again. - Location was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. The bath was lovely and there was lots of hot water. Good size for two people. Central heating was great - nice and warm in the winter Great place for the price. Would have liked a sink in the kitchen area but using the bathroom sink worked.
The electric fry pan was good but some utensils to cook with.
Some face cloths would be great. The towels were lovely.
The place was quite but you could hear the upstairs toilet (not a big problem)
- Janet (9/5): Lovely property. - Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Heating was good and shower hot. Beautiful outlook. Wanted 2 bedrooms and booking.com indicated price was for 2 bedrooms. After booking and paying were notified by hosts that extra bedroom cost extra NZD60.00 as they assume only one room required for a couple. We wanted two bedrooms as hubby snores and keeps me awake.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Mia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location
- Jay (8/5): Very good - What a fantastic location! Absolutely beautiful, incredibly hospitable owners and a place we would definitely stay again. Some attention to detail around cleanliness - e.g. cobwebs. Providing some sort of extraction fan for the cooker to avoid setting off the fire alarm!
- Miriam (9/5): Superb - Nice quiet spot just down the road from Mt Rosa wines. Easy to find and nice host on arrival. A bonus with breakfast included. Unaware when booking the additional cost for an extra bed.
- Jess (9/5): Superb - We had a great stay! Such a beautiful view
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (7/5): Comfortable, stylish with great views. - Extremely comfortable beds, great bath and shower, very lovely location and views. Decor was lush. Great breakfast provided. Accommodation was part of main family house, did not mention on site, very noisy wth children, doors banging, family life. No sink or running water in kitchenette. After booking 2 people, 2 rooms we were charged extra $60 clean fee for 2nd room, rather steep as was not well cleaned, bathroom and toilet had not been swept or mopped under vanity or around toilet, for the extra charge and for small place it ought to be done properly. Outside sitting area needed some attention, looked unkept in relation to rest of property. Also no smoking on property, usually outside allowable, heads up if yr a smoker.
- Lance (8/5): Very good -
- Donsamon (10/5): Exceptional - Nice vineyard view
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic stay & facilities included.
- Alan (9/5): Superb - They made adjustments to my booking with no problem very good to deal with plan on staying again
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (8/5): Beautiful spot with awesome views. Would stay again -
- Ariel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): perfect spot , great hospitality - perfect spot
lovely hospitality
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graeme (10/5): The best place to stay while in Queenstown - What an amazing location, room and hosts. We had a double room (with a very comfortable bed and blockout curtains) (classed as a 2 bedroom but the 2nd bedroom was locked but we didn't need it). It included free fast wifi, a private bathroom with a spa bath, separate shower, kitchen with a 2 burner cook top, fridge with a small freezer, microwave, cutlery and crockery, frypan and pots, kettle, coffee plunger with ground coffee and tea bags. The views from the room and property are wonderful. Set against the grape vines of neighbouring properties with hills in the background. There is outdoor seating and tables for you to enjoy the surrounds while you eat your free generous continental breakfast. Only 15 - 20 minutes from Frankston (Queenstown) in a quiet rural location. We would highly recommend this property. Arjun, in an earlier review, said that there were cameras in the room. We saw none, only smoke detectors. Google Maps was very accurate in getting us to our accommodation. We used the oil heater every night, and it was much appreciated. The bed has an electric blanket, but we didn't use it. Nothing
- Jeanne (8/5): Great rural experience, warm hospitality, excellent location. - Great location, friendly helpful host. Ideal for biking the trails. Generous breakfast was included, definitely value for money. Would have preferred a sink in the kitchenette area. A bowl was provided for washing dishes but was somewhat inconvenient. Fine if you were to eat out nearby.
- Sathish (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent place to stay in the gibbston area.
The surroundings are very scenic and rustic.
- Vaishnaavi (9/5): Great place to stay, and Mick and Emma were lovely and very friendly hosts! Thank you! - The accomodation was well set up in the Gibbston Valley, with beautiful views of the mountains and milky way after dark. We were well stocked up with museli, vogels and coffee for breakfast. Easy to find when driving and handy to both Cromwell, Queenstown and Arrowtown.
- Lorraine (10/5): Great accommodation in a lovely part of New Zealand - Good communication with the hosts. Easy to find and friendly welcome. Great view watching the sun go down. Love the bathroom. Amazing breakfast provided. N/A
- Claire (9/5): A welcome sanctuary - Loved the location and the accommodation A hob would have been ‘the icing on the cake’ but this is a small thing overall to what was a great stay
- Jacqui (9/5): Excellent stay - Clean, spacious and comfortable bed. Breakfast provided Nothing
- Peterh (7/5): Minor criticisms don’t undermine a nice stay. - Nice bucolic setting. Ease of access. Close to some of the best central Otago wineries! There was no sink in the kitchenette and no bedside table for one of the beds’ occupants!!
- Kanimozhi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (8/5): Very good -
- Alex (10/5): Perfect couples getaway - Beautiful room. Spacious, comfortable, clean. Bed was so comfortable and the spa bath was amazing. Lovely owners. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again Zero complaints
- Gill (9/5): Relaxing, peaceful and comfy - Location was superb. Clean, comfortable, spacious.
- Julie (9/5): Location was great and host was friendly. - Location. The views were spectacular - in all sorts of weather. Lovely bathroom too. A few things were unusual but it didn’t stop us from enjoying staying here.
- Tamar (9/5): Amazing value - Beautiful property
Sparkling clean
Excellent value for money
Would definitely return Excellent and will return only small notes
Hosts could have been a bit more responsive but it was honestly fine we managed
Also a bit outside of Queenstown a bit hard to find at night
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Great location with a lovely view, a super comfortable bed, a friendly host, and a bathtub—a fantastic stay! The WiFi didn’t connect properly, but I managed fine without it.
- Joanne (10/5): Brilliant stay would recommend! - We loved the location up high above the gorge surrounded by vineyards.
We also loved the bath as we had both just completed the central otago rail trail. Only the fact that we didn’t grab dinner before heading there and needed to drive back to town to get dinner but this was more out own disorganisation
- Yvonne (8/5): Very good - Quiet location. comfortable bed.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Danny (10/5): Lovely stay - Friendly and accommodating host, comfy bed, brilliant jet bath😊 Rustic rural beauty All good
- Deanne (9/5): Gorgeous, comfortable wine country stay - Beautiful unit with incredible views. comfortable beds, modern, clean decor. spacious bathroom with both jetted tub and shower. Incredibly beautiful setting and views with an outside seating area to take advantage of the scenery. Hosts were friendly. We are on a walking holiday and the hosts were helpful in allowing our luggage to be sent on in advance of our arrival. could not wash up dishes because the food preparation area did not have a sink. We had to carry water for the kettle from the bathroom sink, which was shallow, or the tub.
- Emily (9/5): Everything was easy and perfect -
- Kristin (7/5): Good -
- Lakshman (8/5): Bluff Lane is Difficult to find - The place is well organized . This place, specially the Bluff Lane is hard to find. GPS abruptly stops in the middle of the road passing a junction. The Street name indicated in the Junction is Something else and not the Bluff lane . If you come in rain or in the night you will really have a hard time to find it.
- Maureen (7/5): Nice location but additional explanation of how the unit “worked” would have helpful. Kind hosts . - Nice facilities, nice location, but a bit isolated, however we knew this would be the case. We did not know which unit was ours as we got in late. The owners informed us that they usually greet their guests, but because we got in late, they did not do so. The unit was very cold in the morning - cold in general, cold tiles. There was no explanation about how to adjust the heat. We did use the extra heater provided in the morning. There was also a bit of a minor misunderstanding about breakfast. In the Booking.com description, it said that breakfast was provided. What this meant was that owners left all the necessary supplies out for breakfast, but did not make breakfast for us.
- Arjun (1/5): Bad - Views Everything else. This place was so weird. Back of house. Randomly connected to main house. Cameras inside. Unclean. Untidy. Would recommend removing from booking.com. have photos to assist.
- Tracy (9/5): Superb -
- Des (9/5): Superb - Lovely location In amongst the birds . Great setup and large space. Beds too soft for us
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (7/5): We only spent the night so it was short & sweet 😊 - Great views, close to wineries & tavern. Clean facilities. Hosts were lovely & helpful.
- Brad (10/5): Great stay - I'll be back again - Will book my work trips around this accommodation next time - Great hosts, Clear instructions for checking in after hours in the dark. Google tried taking me to the right up a different driveway and Rapid number wasn't obvious.
- Irene (10/5): Exceptional -
