• Suzanne (8/5): Beautiful place, beautiful people! - The view from Whoopers is breathtaking, the place is well structured, the host is super helpful and friendly. Everything you could hope for while in Tosh! My room had a geyser issue, which is understandable given the location and how remote it is, otherwise everything was spot on!

• tomar (9/5): - I had a truly wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail really stood out throughout my visit. The front desk team was very helpful and efficient during check-in and check-out, making the process smooth and hassle-free. Housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining cleanliness, and everything in my room was always neat, fresh, and well-organized. The staff was also quick to respond to any requests, always with a polite and friendly attitude. What impressed me the most was how genuinely caring and respectful the staff members were. They were always ready to assist with a smile, whether it was providing information, helping with luggage, or ensuring that my stay was comfortable in every possible way. Overall, the hospitality and service quality exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciate the effort the entire team puts into making guests feel valued. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay, and I would definitely love to visit again.

Everything was neat and well-maintained, especially the rooms and washrooms, which were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and supportive, always ready to help with anything. • Vinod (10/5): - The host and the embience. The location is just amazing. U can enjoy the mountains all sides. Nothing much, but entry to the location is bit tough
• Shaikh (10/5): Fo traveller who wish to get a good vibe, have a place to chill and usually like to operate slowly whoopers gives you a - The hostel is ideally located in the centre of Tosh making it easy to go in & out of Tosh The only issues were of Internet n electricity but since it was due to natural reasons (rain/snowfall) there wasn’t much to be done about it.
• Saloni (10/5): Great stay, just go for it - The vibe and the location. its just 7-8 minutes from Tosh taxi stand. can be easily reached. Kanhaiya- the hostel manager was greaat.. accomodated me very well. i was a female solo traveler. he made sure i was served well and was very very helpful and kind. the view from the hostel is also amazing. if you are traveling solo, definitely this is the place to stay to meet new amazing people.

The dorm were pretty comfortable and affordable and the staff was really friendly and helpful ! Bathroom could be a little bit cleaner but since people are always there it’s understandable. Overall I had a really nice stay here and would come again

And when I went the hostel was not functioning and when I tried to contact the owner, he said that I should have called earlier before going to the location... The path to the hostel is also very dirty and you have to climb a dirty hill to reach the stairs of the hostel. Overall it was bad because I was already tired from all the hiking.

• SAMARENDRA (10/5): - The best part about hostels is the community, the bond, the friendships that you build. The place is good, nice people all around. The setting is kind of a laid back setting perfect for a relaxing weekend. Location, the trek to the hostel is too far from the vehicle parking point.

A special shoutout to our host, Ayush, who made the experience even more memorable. He surprised my sister with a Nutella toast at midnight for her birthday — such a sweet and thoughtful gesture 🥹✨ We honestly had a blast and felt so well taken care of. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Tosh — great people, beautiful views, and real warmth. 💛

Places around the property look under construction although its almost 7 years old. Also Tosh overall is dirty. There’s trash everywhere, the villagers have no intention to keep it clean. Tourists are definitely to blame, but should be fixed to bring out the complete beauty of the place. Also the short hike uphill to the hostel is also dirty and broken at places, making it a pain to get out and explore.

• Harjot (5/5): Bitter sweet experience at Whoopers - Location was good with a beautiful view. Food was also good. No single point of contact. Kitchen is outsourced to someone else and the property manager Ayush would say that it is not his department if the food is taking longer than expected. Cleanliness of common areas was so bad it was difficult to even look at. And no one would clean unless asked multiple times. For most things the reply would be "this is hostel, yahaan aisa hi hota hai". Towels were also given on request despite our room including it. The bathroom too had a pipe leakage. We understand the issues or electricity and hot water but cleanliness and basic amenities are a big problem here.

• Pabitra (5/5): Passable - The Verandah and the cute seats made out of pre-loved tyres. Diwali Celebration and the UNO night. The food from the canteen run in the hotel. Ginger Lemon tea. The location of the hostel is after a long trek. Given that it is remote location this is acceptable, but what was disappointing the no landscape development has been done to enhance the location of the property. Apart from the Verandah, there is no place to sit outside. More over the tosh is pretty dirty and no cleaning of surrounding has been taken up. The trek to this place is filled with cow dung. These things would have still acceptable, had the property manager not have heckled through multiple calls to give advance otherwise the booking would be cancelled. Non of the emails or as per my experience with booking.com there is any such policy. However, the manager continuously called and irritated to pay the booking amount. and Guess what the property was not even in sold out state. Cherry on the top, the manager has been bothering me to write a review on the portal.
