Had an issue with the wrong code being given to me for the lockbox, someone was snoring incredibly loudly in the room next to me, and there were no pastries or snacks in the kitchen despite prior communication from the property saying so - the only substantial food item I saw was Weetabix. Can't remember seeing any toiletries in my room either.

Property is a way from city so need to use - Property was in the university quarter and the reason we stayed there was access to a washing machine and dryer which was good. Delineation of food ie milk was not clear as some belonged to longer term student guests. Bathroom in our room has drainage issues.

• Oxana (4/5): - Parking available outside, the host is easily contactable. Quiet room as I requested. Very basic and tired room with very limited items provided: only soap & hairdryer. No mirror in the room, no shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, blinds were old and in poor condition. The shower was full of mold and tiny... Some of these things might be forgivable if it was a bargain B&B, but they are charging 140 euro a night!!! No breakfast incleded

• Naziha (7/5): - Wehebben een prettig verblijf gehad. De kamer was in orde en alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. De eigenaar was erg aanwezig, wat soms even wennen was, maar tegelijkertijd ook betrokken en gastvrij. Hij heeft bovendien een erg mooie keuken met fantastische ovens, wat duidelijk terug te zien was in de zorg en aandacht waarmee hij kookte. Een bijzonder leuk moment was dat hij speciaal een heerlijke ei-pizza maakte voor mijn zoon, wat erg gewaardeerd werd. Dat soort persoonlijke aandacht maakt het verblijf extra speciaal. Al met al een goede ervaring, vooral dankzij de vriendelijkheid en inzet van de eigenaar.

• Audrey (8/5): Staying at the Silver Sea was just right for our weekend stay in Galway. - Very clean. Comfortable beds. Well heated. Own bathroom in the room with hot water from early morning. Hairdryer in the room. Well equipped house: for laundering clothes, dishwasher, kitchen & cooking utensils, coffee machine. Foods for breakfast included in the price and available in the kitchen. Didn’t see any staff but they were obviously in and did housekeeping, made beds etc. Clear instructions to access keys, WiFi etc and owner kept in touch via email. Handy bus stop, with frequent buses to travel into town from early morning to about 11pm For the price we paid I think the service and facilities very reasonable. The house is on quite a busy road and we stayed over a weekend. If you’re a light sleeper with a front room the traffic might disturb you, especially if you keep the window open. However, once I fell asleep it didn’t bother me.

• Hazel (9/5): I had an early hospital appointment and just needed an overnight stay, checked in late and was out early. Lovely and cle - Very clean, use of kitchen and living room if needed. The property itself was great, I had a late check in, so no one was there and I eventually found a number to ring to get a code for the self check in. It would have been easier if when I had been messaging about my late check in that I was told this. However I did get the code very promptly and all was good then.

Bus stop "ATU Galway" 5 min away to get to the city center within 15 minutes. It's regularly served. Room and bathroom very small. Carpet in room. House is situated in industrial/commercial zone and a lot of construction work outside in this area. No supermarket nearby. Nothing charming about the small room and bathroom, but they had coffee tea in the kitchen and closet and cubby space to put your things in the room. Property owner/manager was really responsive and helpful! Linens were rough and seemed like a generic room.

I didn't use the laundry but it's great that it is available. Wish I had known about the construction on the street because it was difficult to recognize the guesthouse among the fences

The only open window was in the bathroom but the bathroom radiator was on full blast and I couldn't turn it off so I had to close that door!
