• Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed with the Majo family for 10 days over Christmas and it really was magical. Mickey, Mahesh & Patricia were the most amazing hosts, taking us to yoga every morning, with masala tea and banana fritters on the way home. Everyday we had a homemade breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs and toast. We felt so well after our stay, it was almost like a retreat. Mahesh took us on a beautiful tour of Kochi, where we saw the Cobra Temple and backwaters. Nothing is too much trouble at Majo House, the beach, restaurants, the shops, everything can be arranged at the drop of a hat. We looked forward to our evening meals with Mickey & Patrica, sharing the most wonderful stories and knowledge of the local area. January hit us hard after such a warm and colourful stay at Majo House. We miss all of our hosts at Majo and one day hope to return. Thank you xx

Great breakfast with options to our liking. Good location with sea just across the road and beautiful views, including sunset from the terrace.
• Kristina (10/5): the warmest welcome in India - Jeena’s communication once we booked, Mickey’s welcome and wisdom and Mahesh’s smile and love each day. photo’s don’t do this properly justice, it is even nicer than the pictures. bed was really comfortable and bedding was first class. steaming hot water at the touch of a button, great ac, etc, etc, etc. We began our Indian trip here and in less than 4 hours we had settled in and acclimatised. Mickey took us to do early morning rooftop yoga at a friends, which was magical (I am now a convert), followed by tea at his usual stall (with fried banana and chilli doughnuts). back to Majo for breakfast, which was boiled eggs and toast, fresh fruit and yoghurt, served with freshly made fruit juice and tea. Chilled out days watching dolphins in the sea or playing with Madge, the puppy or a tour of the Island with Mahesh (stopping to see Kingfishers, Eagles and Kites). I wish I could do this holiday again, and hope to next year. it truly felt like visiting family or friends, and next time it will be. I don’t live there

• Beatrice (10/5): Lovely place to be! - The room was very comfortable, clean, everything needed was there and the breakfast was AMAZING, delicious, made with love. The owner, Mickey, is an angel, kind and present, a lovely person. Mahesh was a blessing as he took us everywhere we wanted to go with his rickshaw, always on time, he knows where to take you for whatever you wish (please don't forget to give him money for his efforts as he will never ask for anything). I highly recommend this place and will myself be back.
• Delwyn (10/5): Lovely chilled-out homestay opposite the beach - Fantastic stay with Mickey north of Cochi. We wanted somewhere to chill out before starting a tour of South India. He arranged a driver to pick us up from Cochi Airport which was great. We also arranged for the tuk tuk driver to take us around the local area. Mickey is a great host and took us out for dinner both nights to local restaurants. Totally recommend.
• John (10/5): If you are looking for accommodation in Cherai beach stay here. - The location of Majo House adjacent to the beach, the room, I was in the ‘Red Room’, which has essentially a private terrace, WiFi good water stocked fridge on the terrace. Breakfast was superb, but what makes this place, were the hosts, from Micky Mahesh and Jeena, all very very helpful. Nothing all great.
• Kerstino (10/5): Beautiful authentic place to stay with super friendly people - Beautiful designed room with a wonderful feeling for colours and authentic details. Very friendly and helpful owner. Great vegetarian places to eat close by. A cute puppy in the house. We felt very safe and happy. You can easily access the beach and take great ealks and swim safely. It can be a bit noisy because there is a street between Majo House and the beach which is directly in front of it. After a few days we got used to it.
• Jermaine (10/5): Relaxing, definitely recommend, sleepy days in the sun, deserve to do well 👌🏾 - The decor is amazing , the place is so laid back, you feel really at home really quickly, the air con and fan are really powerful, the property feels secure, you have a choice of breakfast each morning which is really well done and caters for everyone, Mickey and Mahesh showed us around the island, advised us on everything we needed to know, we got great food recommendations , we had tuk tuks whenever we needed they really couldn’t do anymore for us and staying at Majo house for the last 3 nights of our 2 week holiday around India really made our trip. We met Patricia on sight who is an absolutely lovely lady and also gave us some brilliant recommendations and Information about the area as she has been a regular there for the last 15 years and the new edition to the establishment is little Maj who is the cutest little lady you’ll ever meet🐶. There is nothing to not like 🤷🏽‍♂️

The area is super quiet, the sea just across the street—many delicious places to eat and chill out in the vicinity. The rooms are furnished with love and very comfy. Micky and Mahesh are great hosts! We would definitely like to come back when we are at the Cherai Beach!

• M (9/5): perfect stay and start to our travels, fully able to relax and just felt so safe.loved it - Mickey and his tuk tuk driver manesh, were brilliant at making us welcome and looking after all our needs.Nothing was toomuch bother. The breakfast was outstanding, the best we had our whole time in India. thank you for the love and attention Mickey the location was slightly out of town which meant it was quieter and the beach across the road was mostly eempty and unspoilt, perfect for the morning swim.
• Margot (10/5): Great place, great host. - It's either the beach across the road or our host Micky. Micky is the most fantastic host you could wish for. A very down to earth and relaxt person from England with a great sense of humour. He invests time in his guests to have a chat and to organize things. The first night we all went out to a nice restaurant (Sea Saloon, recommended). We now think he knows the everyone by name. Things to mention: - Yoga in the morning on the roof was amazing. - The breakfast was really, really good. - There are mats available to lay down at the beach. - Wifi was good.
• Anne-marie (10/5): Exceptional - A Wonderful place to stay ! Micky and Mahesh make you feel at home! Warm, welcoming, smiling, helpful and wonderful breakfasts ! I really fell in love with this tastefully decorated guesthouse. A magnificent bedroom in a small suite style with a dressing area and a private terrace. Located right in front of the beach. I couldn't have dreamed of a better last stop before taking my return flight. Micky has lots of ideas on activities to do nearby and will advise you according to your wishes. For my part, I had an excellent day at the Sea Lagoon which offers an exceptional day package with swimming pool-beach and meals and drinks included. You will also have the opportunity to do yoga sessions in another location very close to Majo at a friend's Micky place. And Mahesh will accompany you on your trips in his tuktuk. Don't hesitate !

• Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - This is a fantastic place to stay, can't recommend it highly enough. Quirky style and very clean. Micky and Mahesh are great characters and it felt like staying with friends by the end of our time there. Also it's a great location, right on the beach and a short walk from the restaurants and bars but slightly removed enough that it's quiet and peaceful. Grab a room!

• Lydiawade (10/5): Amazing, loved the whole experience - Mickey is an amazing host; he showed us around his local area and treated us like friends/family, showing us his local spots. Mahesh is also fantastic, driving us around and making it all happen. The house is right by the beach so you can pop across for a morning swim. The house itself is vibrant and really well maintained, a home from home. Thanks so much guys, we loved it
• Lorinick (10/5): Beyond Expectation - Majo House is a great building, our room had a shared balcony with comfy chairs and a table, ideal for chilling with a beverage. The room was a good size and all details were considered, we had aircon and a fan, there was a kettle, cups and sachets for tea and coffee making. There was a large fridge on the shared balcony with a plentiful supply of fresh water. The room had a seperate area for luggage which led to the shower/toilet. Breakfasts were lovely, healthy and substantial. The cherry on top of it all was Micky the co-owner of Majo House with Mahesh (who arranged transport for us). Micky is a wonderful man with a generous spirit and the most intriguing stories. Micky's recommendations were also excellent and memorable - Sindhu's - for delicious budget meals, The Sea Lagoon for refreshing cocktails and other alcohol based beverages, Lilliput for tasty tandoori and an absolute treat - Sunday Brunch at the Grand Hyatt. We would highly recommend Majo House and are so grateful to Micky for his energy and the breath of fresh air that he was.

• Eszter (10/5): Exceptional - The house was right beside the beach and it was a quieter area than the others around. The building itself looked really nice inside and out, cool style. Mahesh was brilliant, he took very good care of us, helped us with everything. Restaurants with delicious food were nearby. Everything was fine.
• Tyler (8/5): Very nice place to relax for a few days in a nice area with a lot of friendly locals. - Great view and Mahesh was a wonderful host, good man. Cool rooms and very clean. Off season so beach is a bit of a walk to get to, many restaurants are not open this time of year I guess. Price was quite high for these reasons to me.
