- Jim (10/5): Comfortable, grey price, great location.with hosts that leave you in peace but are there to help the second you ask. - The property is in a great location. Extremely clean and well looked after. It has a classic feel but with modern comforts. The stairs are a tight metal spiral that hurt your feet without shoes on but honestly they’re clearly shown in the pictures and I’m really not picking just to put something in all the boxes.
- Jonathan (9/5): Quiet, scenic base to explore the local area. Hassle free and provides everything needed. - Comfortable, cosy, and lovely location. Very convenient for getting to Usk. Very good Wi-fi and good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Reasonably clean but there was a drinks can and dirty tissue left on a bedroom window sill, also some cobwebs and dust behind panel above TV and on light fittings. There was a little bit of rubbish from previous visitors under the bushes in the parking area and patio that I picked up myself. Overall, though, it was a very nice little property with lovely surroundings.

- joyce (10/5): thank you we had a very good stay -
- Marion (8/5): - Everything was great, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The only negative was the double bed was very low and the mattress was hard.
- Emily (8/5): Lovely home from home stay in fantastic location. - This gorgeous little cottage was in such a great location and we loved the space outside. It was well equipped with tea bags, coffee, foil, salt and pepper etc. Plenty of towels and bedding.
It was perfect for what we needed and also easy to find. The TV had sky which was a nice little extra, also some board games. A real home from home stay. The beds were very uncomfortable in both bedrooms and we struggled to sleep. New mattresses definitely needed all around and a less squeaky bed in the main bedroom as it made a sound whenever you turned over or moved.
New kitchen items would be beneficial. Chopping board, cutting knives, cutlery, cooking utensils (spatula and tongs) and new plates, bowls etc.
- Jeff (9/5): - The location was stunning. It was so relaxing. The host was friendly and very helpful and was always available to assist.
All very comfortable and just chilled and relaxed. Exactly what we were looking for. Everything was great and it was so minor but maybe could have done with somewhere to hang clothes but really all very good and again say that the host was really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.
- Ilona (8/5): - Heerlijk uitzicht vanuit de kleine woonkamer. De host reageert snel op vragen. Het is er rustig. Alles is aanwezig.
- Andrea (10/5): The most relaxing stay at Cedar Barn - We had such a lovely stay at Cedar Barn! 🌿✨
The peaceful countryside setting made it the perfect escape — so quiet, calm, and surrounded by nature. The cottage was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The location was ideal for a proper reset — tranquil mornings, scenic views, and a real sense of stillness. We left feeling refreshed and truly grateful for the peaceful atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a restful countryside break in Wales. Thank you for having us! 🌼🏡💕 .
- Mrs Alison (8/5): Short break in the barn - Lovely location, great views, peaceful, good access to places to visit All good, possibly could have a few more kitchen things like cereal bowls. But no big deal 😊
- Caspar (8/5): Very good - The staff was very friendly and we loved the location.
- Beverley (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, warm, cosy, quiet and clean. The upstairs toilet door. You had to close the bedroom door to open it. Fine if only 1 bedroom was being used.
- Susie (8/5): Great location, very peaceful and close to good walks - Lovely location and super quiet which was exactly what we wanted as we had a dog with us who is petrified of fireworks, hence is coming to this location! I found the double bed lumpy and uncomfortable… maybe due a new mattress
- Daisy (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): If you want value for money hassle free amazing accommodation look no further - The location was fantastic, the hosts amazing the scenery outstanding. 1000000% recommended
- Jade (1/5): DO NOT GO - The grass space outside the back. That is it. On arrival, a guy who lives near the barn "greeted" us but it made us all feel uncomfortable. He directed us to a road past the barn to find it. When we first went inside we got a weird feeling and didn't feel settled. Noticing a grave yard right next to it didn't help, which was not advertised or stated in the description of the property. The front door didn't have a curtain cover so we was fully exposed to anyone nearby. The small head in the shower didn't work so was impossible to have a shower without washing our hair. I appreciate spiders cannot be helped but there was so many in all areas, indicating most have been left a while. Oven was very difficult to use as it was so low down to the ground with the door opening to the left not giving much room at all to access it. Bedrooms didn't have tvs. The whole place didn't give a good atmosphere, so we took the tv out of the living room upstairs to the bedroom as we felt uncomfortable going to sleep. Throughout the night it was so hot we were all sweating and the heating wasn't on. We didn't want to open up the only window upstairs incase it rained. Despite us feeling uncomfortable in the bedrooms we did not expect anything unnatural to happen at all. But at 4:40 we were woken up by a tapping noise coming from downstairs (it was very clear). About 5 minutes later it happened again. Then about 5 minutes after it happened again but this time with a massive bang to the wall which shook the house indicating this could not have happened from outside the house or surrounding areas. This had us up from this early in the morning and we couldn't get back to sleep as we were petrified. Given that the holiday was already paid for, we tried to make the most of it the following day (yesterday) but as soon as it was getting dark we did not want to stay and possibly experience another night like it, if not worse, so we left a night early.
