Guest Reviews
- Joy (7/5): Good - The unit itself was perfect for us and we appreciated the lovely goodie basket of food and drink. We were not impressed with the access as we had stipulated it had to be on the Ground Floor with no steps or stairs which to us is the same thing. Your photos didn't indicate that there were at least 6 narrow winding steps to go down to the front door and no handrail to assist.
- Robin (10/5): Everything was great ! We would highly recommend this lovely apartment. We will definitely rebook on our next trip to P - Lovely clean, well equipped and decorated apartment. Nothing !!
- F (10/5): The Little Courtyard Review - We both really enjoyed our stay at the little courtyard. The host was very helpful and polite. Lots of attention to detail in the accommodation. The welcome basket of goodies was an unexpected and lovely surprise. Well decorated, all appliances/amenities that you could need. Very quiet and cosy, stress free. Would recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay in Penzance.
- Katherine (10/5): We would highly recommend - What a wonderful gem. Spacious, clean, attractively appointed, well equipped, great linens and towels, bright, and wonderful communication with the owner. Teri graciously accommodated a request from us which was much appreciated. We are senior travellers and found the steps down to the courtyard a little steep, particularly with suitcases.….a railing would be of assistance.
- Tim (10/5): A delightful base for exploring Penzance and the surrounding area - We travelled here by train and were able to do everything we wanted on foot or using the local bus services.
Situated in a quiet lane away from the hustle and bustle, with good security and a gorgeous courtyard garden to walk through to access the property.
The apartment was light, spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Too many great additions to mention: the welcome hamper, fresh flowers, walk-in shower, storage options, massive TV, books, blankets...
Communication with our host was prompt, friendly and helpful throughout.
Excellent value too.
- Nils (10/5): Lovely & Cosy flat - The flat is cosy, really big, has a well equipped modern kitchen and has many other useful items (for example a dishwasher, or a washing machine). We loved it from the beginning. And in two minutes you are in a nice little street with cafes and other shops that leads to the town center. Nothing.
- Yasmin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle (10/5): Best one!!!! - The owner was polite, helpful. The apartment is cosy, comfortable and you can find any essentials you need. Every details about this studio is perfect. Nice paintings on the walls, lots euippments in the kictchen and everywhere is tidy. Also, wonderful location. Nothing can be complaint about.100 out of 10. Best ever!!! Nothing, but if there are some pairs of chopsticks would be great!!! ^.^
- Cecilia (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment, even better then the photos. Clean, quiet and a really nice welcomingbasket with local goodies.
- Deanie (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Enjoyed our stay, just the items I have mentioned. , a little bit of a problem - Spacious, clean and well maintained The back lane to access the property, very narrow and a lot of dustbins in the way. Also the steps to get into the property
- Deborah (10/5): If you’re staying in Penzance, this is a wonderful place to stay. - A delightful apartment - extremely well-equipped, with some lovely little personal touches.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bartosz (10/5): Highly recommended - Very clean apartament, highly recommended
- Linda (10/5): Loved this property and loved Penzance - Everything about this property suited us to perfection. Location✅ Spotlessly clean✅ Local produce food hamper✅ Friendly owner✅ Nothing
- Simpkins (10/5): More than exceeded our expectations. - We couldn't have asked for anything more. The apartment is well equipped. Comfortable and nicely placed to see the town centre. It's likely that we will return. Could have done with some tongs in the kitchen.
- Jill (10/5): Beyond all expectations & excellent value for money! - This property was exceptionally well set up. Everything was stylish, clean & very comfortable. Teri was responsive to questions & the basket of goodies was a lovely touch. Beyond expectations & excellent value for money! Nothing
- Will (10/5): Beautiful little place. Would definitely recommend. - Quiet comfortable and clean. And a nice welcome basket of goodies! Couldn’t find anything wrong!!
- Chrominska (8/5): I enjoyed being there and was comfortable. Loved the bathroom mirror. - Almost everything except the dark kitchen so that I had to have the light on the whole time. Location ok but having to get up early to pay parking was a nuisance. On my own I had to make several trips in the car to unload my stuff. Thank you to Nico upstairs who very kindly told me about 24 hour parking in the Penlee car park via a card left under the geranium pot near my front door. Not much - but see above.
- Anna (10/5): Property is new, very clean, well thought & equipped with everything you need. Host's super helpful -
- Winston (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (7/5): Very enjoyable. Everything that you needed was provided. - Very comfortable and near the station.
Access to the key very convenient. Had everything you would need. Very noisy banging from upstairs - presumably. The door on the left that was locked needs to be less noisy. Not really sure why it was banging sometimes.
The access to the front is quite slippery in the wet. I think the access may be an issue for some people so needs to be made clear.
At night there didn’t appear to be much outside lighting or in the lane. Again a bit tricky in the wet and darkness.
- Mariciel (9/5): Excellent!! - The excellent service! Very good!!
- Eva (10/5): It was a lovely place for staying in Penzance and the communication with the host was great! -

Had l - The property was clearly recently renovated and looks very clean and modern and had everything we wanted and more. Had lovely extra finishing touches to make the property feel very homely . Looks a lot bigger in person than in the photos. Property doesn’t have parking but we easily found a space everyday opposite near the flats, which was free. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort in with the property and making it homely. Great location in the centre of Penzance also.
- Nicoletta (10/5): An absolute gem - The Little Courtyard is an absolute gem; better than the photos on the website would suggest. It is
light, spacious with beautiful décor. Everything is clean, modern and very comfortable. We love the
shower room with its powerful walk-in shower, anti-mist mirror and heated towel rail. The kitchen is
new and fully equipped.
Quiet and secluded, the property, tho tucked away, is literally 2 minutes from the town centre, with
its cafes, restaurants, shops and cinema. It is the perfect location to explore this part of Cornwall. It’s
close proximity to the train and bus stations enabled us to use public transport a lot of the time. The
open top coaster bus to St. Ives and Lands End is a must! all was perfect :)
