• Ralph (9/5): Great location with easy access to I-40 - I loved the trout dinner in the restaurant and the convenience of the self-serve sundry store early in the morning. The location is great with easy access to I-40.
• Duncan (5/5): An excellent Holiday Inn Express...but a bit disappointing for a Sheraton. - The location was excellent, just off the interstate but also close to the University of North Carolina campus. Gym and pool facilities were quite good. Staff was friendly and polite. Check-in: there was a foul-up. The hotel (incorrectly) had us booked for two rooms, while the booking agency (booking.com) had us (correctly) checked into one room. After six-hour drive and quite tired, I was directed to contact the booking agent myself to sort this out. Would have been nice if the front desk had taken care of this problem for me. Restaurant and bar service: not enough staff on duty. This felt by design, and it gave the bar/restaurant space and empty and uninviting aspect. I noticed that for breakfast, most of the guests walked next door to McDonalds. Rooms: mattress was overly soft. The body wash bottle in the shower was empty and never checked by maid service or refilled. There were ants in the sink every night, attracted by water drops. The air conditioner was surprisingly loud. Parking: it seems fairly odd that what is essentially a motel near a highway, not a swank hotel in a cramped urban downtown, would charge a daily fee for parking. Most of your guests most likely arrive by car. The stay was perfectly pleasant, but the hotel did not fully justify its price-point.

• Camille (5/5): Staff was great, however the room was below expectations for a Sheraton. - There was no information regarding a parking charge per night. The Sheraton has never charged to park. Also, guest must use a QR code instead of being able to charge parking to the room. This excessive use of QR.codes infringes on access to unknown entities to my ID. The unknown company uses the license tag to connect to my NC DMV information for payment. Other options to pay for parking.

• Adriana (8/5): Nice hotel not so great service - Hotel looks new and clean. Hotel is quiet. Very comfortable beds and 4 pillows to choose different firmness from. I am not sure whether there are understaffed. I only stayed two nights. The second night I came back from touring college schools around 6:00pm just to find that my room was not serviced. No “do not disturb” sign on the door. When I called the front desk I was told that someone would come to service the room. 30 minutes went by and nobody had showed up. My son went to the front desk to ask again got someone to clean our room and make the beds. A lady showed up telling me that she had brought me fresh towels but that the cleaning crew had left for the day….. On another note the staff was friendly but I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come back to the front desk and ask them for a new key since I had forgotten it in the room.
• Amy (9/5): Wonderful stay, clean room and friendly staff. - Clean, centrally located to UNC Chapel Hill, nice staff and facilities. Parking was free and secure. Would definitely stay there again. No daily room cleaning, you must request additional towels or toiletries.
• Keia (7/5): Overall, my stay was nice however, the staff could improve in hospitality. - Overall, my stay at the Sheraton in Chapel Hill, NC was a nice experience. The location was convenient, as it was close to plenty of stores. This hotel was very well kept in cleanliness, and designed in a way that was modern and cozy. I appreciated the amenities it offered, such as an on-site restaurant, gym, and pool. Moreover, I also thought it was a great idea, that the entire facility (excluding the front entrance and common used areas) required a key card to enter; this feature gave a sense of security and safety. In addition, the Sheraton was very quiet and peaceful. Upon checking into the facility, I was greeted by a male secretary staff member with a nonchalant demeanor. This gave me the impression the staff would be poor, but I was hopeful for the best. I was aware I would need a photo I.D and credit/debit card. However, I was not aware that there’d be a $50.00 insurance deposit upon check-in. Luckily for me I was prepared for the unexpected, but a disclosure would have been appreciated. Moreover, when booking my reservation, I reserved a room with 2 queen- sized beds and a mobility assessable bathroom. As my mother (who would be accompanying me on this stay) is disabled and requires such accommodations. The secretary was sure to double check with me about the room I had reserved , and assured me that I would receive the correct room.. Unfortunately, I received a room with 2 full-sized beds and a non-mobility assessable bathroom. This bathroom was extremely small and the tub made it very difficult for my mother to get in and out to shower. Furthermore, as my guest and I prepared to check-out of the hotel, I began to tidy up the room, to make clean-up a bit easier on the housekeeping staff. I removed bedding and organized it into piles, separating sheets from blankets and towels. I also removed any trash and began to wipe down surfaces. While I was tidying up the room, my mother left to throw away any trash gathered from the room. She came back and informed me that a male housekeeping staff member, had gotten hostile with her about putting a bag of trash into a garbage bin that was half full. In addition I would like to note the garbage bin was fairly close to the room we stayed in which was convenient for my mother, as she is disabled, walks with a cane, and has a boot of her foot. As a result, of this interaction my mother felt disrespected and overlooked. In my honest opinion, the hotel staff hostility could improve as this is the only reason I am not giving a 10 star review.

My teenage daughter especially liked the service and the avocado toast! We also splurged and let ourselves stay and enjoy the morning by their lovely pool. I liked that the shower supplies were provided with dispensers rather than tiny single use containers The room service could have been delivered with a little more happiness-- the person who delivered it did the job but was not very enthused
