Our choices were limited but we were happy with how it all turned ou - The setting was great and had some walks and runs easily accessible with dogs. The water pressure was awful (but not to our surprise given the location) and the heating took some understanding when we arrived to a very cold building.
• Jackie (10/5): Amazing! Can't wait to return! - It was so spacious and clean and it had everything you needed. We was staying with a large family group and it had everything for a baby and welcomed dogs! We would definitely return! The signal was poor and we did have a power cut but they had candles ready as we knew this could happen. The water did come out brown but that was due to having their own water supply, we were assured that it's very safe and tested and a regular basis.

• Coates (10/5): Exceptional - Comfy spacious rooms with a lovely atmosphere! Right in the heart of the lake District with plenty of activities on the estate. Would recommend to anyone planning a trip to the lakes !!
• Maddy (8/5): Lovely cottage in a great location - Lovely property in a great location. Comfortable rooms for our group of 8. We struggled with hot water for showers a couple of times but the owners have now been notified.
• Suzi (8/5): Lovely accommodation, great value, lack of staff. - Great value for money. Beautiful location, absolutely silent except for birds, loved it. The accommodation was spacious, clean, comfortable with a lovely quirky layout and bedrooms were nicely furnished with luxury feeling duvet covers and sheets. Very comfortable beds, but really creaky. No staff on site from afternoon onwards, so when we couldn't open the door to the pool, we had to call for help and then got an answer phone which was frustrating. We got in eventually but missed over 15 minutes of our slot. The message, which arrived after we got in, basically said oh sometimes it sticks, but keep trying and it should open! Also the shop seemed to open when it fancied, not as advertised on the board and stocked groceries, alcohol and trinkets, but not the pies sandwiches and deli type food we had read about online. The accommodation was lovely, quirky and decorated well, but the beds were really creaky which we all found rather annoying.

Location is remote but good access to forests and the lake. - Beautiful remote location close to the lake with good hiking and swimming and close enough to towns to drive if need be Would have been good to have our own private outdoor area to gather but there is a shared courtyard and with shared BBQs
