• Jens (9/5): Perfekter Urlaub bei lieben Leuten, und einem netten Team. - Das Frühstück ist typisch Italienisch. Die Lage ist sehr schön auf ein Auto ist man aber angewiesen. Perfektes Ambiente. Alles sehr schön. Schöner Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Unser Zimmer, wir hatten eine "Suite" war sehr schön eingerichtet und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Es war sogar eine kleine eingerichtete Küche dabei. Einziger Kritikpunkt war im Restaurant. Aber erstmal ein Lob an das Küchenteam. Alle Speisen waren perfekt und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Alles war sehr lecker. Leider waren die Hälfte der Gerichte der Speisekarte die ganze Woche über nicht verfügbar. Wir wissen nicht warum da es keine außergewöhnlichen Zutaten waren. Das fanden wir etwas schade.

• Charlotte (9/5): Tolle, weitläufige Anlage - Eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage. Es ist fast wie ein kleines Dorf. Zimmer und Aufenthaltsräume sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war sehr großzügig und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet und einem schönen Badezimmer. Das Essen abends im Restaurant war sehr gut und zu fairen Preisen. Wir hatten einen tollen und entspannten Aufenthalt. Der Poolbereich war an sich schön nur leider hätte der Pool selbst sauberer sein können. Es waren sehr viele Insekten im Wasser.

In this place you also can have a dinner in their own restorant so you don’t have to go to the town if you won’t and through all day you have a bar at your disposal so you can make yourself a wide selection of drinks, so there is nothing you have to think about. Everything was so nice.
• Stuart (9/5): Chill central - Beautiful location and very large and welcoming public areas. Honesty bar is a great idea. Generally an unspoilt haven in which to relax and unwind. Both receptionists were super helpful. Room rather dark, would benefit from outside sitting area in courtyard. Dinner only average and limited choice if you stay for more than 2 nights. Olive tasting at 30 euros not the greatest value in the world.

• Jennie (10/5): Stunning setting and a great way to unwind in the peace - The property is stunning, the gardens are picturesque and plenty of seating in surrounding areas to walk/sit. The pool wasn’t open but we could put our feet in. Staff were really helpful (even collecting something from our last hotel, which is going above and beyond!) A really relaxed place. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The room was clean. 2 spaces lounge areas which honesty bar and free coffee/tea. Our room had a kitchenette area, but nothing to make a coffee which would have been perfect.

• Gionanni1978 (10/5): UN gioiello incastonato nelle colline umbre. - Location meravigliosa immersa nel verde delle colline umbre, il borgo è totalmente ristrutturato con grande gusto, gli spazi sono ampi e c'è tutta la possibilità di vivere in intimità il posto. Il ristorante è sotto un bel patio, che d'inverno si chiude ma d'estate è totalmente all'aria aperta: mangiare di fronte al parco è una bellissima esperienza. La piscina sembra bella ma attualmente è ancora chiusa in attesa della stagione estiva. La colazione buona, niente di eccezionale ma presenta tutto ciò che necessita sia per il dolce che per il salato. Forse le stanze leggermente piccole con un'illuminazione un pò da rivedere, ma nel complesso è tutto davvero ben arredato.

• Christine (10/5): - Es ist ein Ort für die Seele, ein wunderschönes Anwesen im Grünen. Das Restaurant war mässig.

• Isabel (9/5): Un lugar de ensueño - Los prados llenos de florecillas, la paz, los pájaros que inundaban con sus trinos desde primera hora de la mañana. La pulcritud, la restauración en cada edificio, respetando la idiosincrasia del lugar. Un lugar para desconectar, a solo 15 minutos de la ciudad de Spoleto. El desayuno tenía muchas opciones dulces y algunas saladas. Lleno de rincones donde sentarse a leer, charlar o simplemente disfrutar de la naturaleza. A pesar de estar inmerso en la vegetación, está impoluto, señal de que están muy atentos a los detalles. La piscina es preciosa, pero aún no hacía suficiente calor para bañarse. En cuanto vimos los bellos espacios abiertos supimos que sería un sitio ideal para organizar eventos. Muy top la zona de aparcamiento: placas solares proporcionan sombra y resguardo a los vehículos, a la vez que se genera energía verde! Me sorprendió mucho el lugar, y nuestra habitación era perfecta: bella, impoluta y llena de detalles. Perfecto para escapada romántica, grupos, o centro de operaciones para moverse por Umbría. Si vienes con tu bici, también! En la habitación había un hervidor con varios tés de cortesía, pero no había leche.

My only error was not having a hire car - I was there for a few nights and it is in quite a remote location which makes it tricky if you want to do activities in the area which aren’t walking. Taxis are also expensive.

• Natasha (9/5): Tutto bene - Personalmente, sembra di stare in paradiso soprattutto gli spazi esterni mi hanno donato una pace infinita. Struttura bellissima e sicuramente curata in ogni dettaglio internamente sono rimasta colpita maggiormente dagli spazi comuni molto belli e profumatissimi a differenza delle camere (parlo della mia, non so se è generale). Unica pecca la puzza di chiuso nella stanza. Credo che i mobili antichi rilascino un odore non troppo piacevole soprattutto se la stanza è stata chiusa per più tempo . Personalmente un po’ fastidioso soprattutto appena entri.

• Richard (10/5): The property itself was superb, the staff and management were excellent and could not do enough . - The location was remote but beautiful. The local area was very tranquil and relaxing. The food at the location was very good, just lacking a little in salad or vegetable options. Mosquitoes were an issue as you might expect in the hot countryside and perhaps more could be in place to repel the pests whilst eating outside.
• Stephen (8/5): Could have been a 10 - Property was very nice and we were lucky the property had a restaurant. There is nothing else close by. Since we were hiking from Assisi to Spello to Trevi to Poreta to Spoleto this was one of the few options and the nicest in Poreta. The address is Spoleto buts it’s in the town of Poreta. We also could leave our luggage prior to check in so we could complete our hike. Breakfast and dinner was good. The young receptionist was very nice. The older receptionist was not very friendly. When we arrived no one was at the reception. 10 minutes later the older receptionist came smelling of cigarette smoke. She took our passports and said she’d give them to us in 5 minutes. Not sure why she had to keep them. 15 minutes later we had to go retrieve them. Snacks in self serve bar area didn’t get refilled even though she came through 2-3 times. She didn’t seem happy.

In fact this meant we ate elsewhere on the second night as my husband had eaten all the vegetarian options and he didn’t want to repeat the same dinner.

• Jes (10/5): The 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude of the very beautiful staff. Room and food exceptional! - I was a Pilgrim walking to Assisi from Rome. I had an issue whilst on the trail 8km walk from my stay at Borgo Della Marmotta. Another Pilgrim called the receptionist on my behalf to arrange a taxi to pick me up in the small village. The staff sent a staff member instead to pick me up very quickly. I thought I would be too early for my room but that was not the case. Of course I needed to pay for the ride and it was well worth that. The staff were very friendly and helpful and courteous. It was a beautiful room with a bath especially for a Pilgrim with blistered painful feet. The dinner at the nearby restaurant was exceptional quality and a free car ride to that restaurant much appreciated. The breakfast was of a high standard and it too was exceptional with many choices with beautifully baked goods also. I would recommend Borgo Della Marmotta to anyone for these reasons. Thank you making my one night feel like it was days worth with 'nothing being too much trouble' including a lift to the next village. Thank you in particular to Luana. Grazi mille. nothing at all could have been better

• Caterina-Flor (6/5): - La struttura si presenta curata e ristrutturata con gusto, tuttavia alcune stanze non sono state adeguatamente risanate dall'umidità. Purtroppo ci è stata assegnata una stanza molto umida con evidente necessità di essere risanata: il tasso di umidità era tale da rendere l'aria irrespirabile e ci ha fatto passare la notte insonne per ritrovarci all'indomani più stanchi di quando siamo arrivati. Quando il giorno dopo abbiamo rappresentato il problema il gestore non si è scomposto nè scusato, forse abituato a ricevere simili lamentele. Per la notte successiva ci è stata assegnata una diversa sistemazione, ma ormai la vacanza è stata rovinata. Mai avremmo pensato di imbatterci in un problema strutturale così rilevante in una struttura che vorrebbe dare tutt'altra mostra di sè.

• An (6/5): Domein met potentieel maar toch wat tekortkomingen - Het verblijf is gelegen op een mooie locatie, beetje in dorpstijl. De tuin is wat verwilderd maar dat is de bedoeling en stoort totaal niet. Her en der zijn er zitmeubels neergezet wat het gezellig maakt. De kamers zijn netjes maar sommige hebben wel last van een vochtgeur. Dat was het geval in onze eerste kamer. In die kamer waren connecting doors die alle geluid van de kamer ernaast doorlieten, de badkamer was ook piepklein (voor een op zich groot appartement/suite) dus we hebben een andere kamer gevraagd en ook gekregen na wat discussie. Het ontbijtbuffet werd geserveerd in een gezellige patio en was ok maar je moet op tijd zijn want het wordt niet aangevuld. Er zijn eierbereidingen maar dat is bij te betalen, wat jammer is in deze prijsklasse. Het personeel in de ontbijt/diner ruimte is vriendelijk. Er waren gebreken die duidelijk gekend waren maar die niet hersteld werden: in de badkamer van de kinderen lekte de douche waardoor water langs de stang over de rand van het bad liep en de vloer direct onder water stond. We hebben het zelf opgelost door een handdoek rond te draaien en het water op te vangen in een kookpot. In onze kamer was er een lek in de afloop van de lavabo en daar was gewoon een emmer onder gezet. De toegangsdeuren van beide kamers (en ook van andere kamers zo te horen) moest je bijna inbeuken om open te krijgen, onze deur ging trouwens maar half open. Het slot van 1 van de deuren werkte regelmatig niet waardoor iemand van de receptie moest komen,…Er werd niets hersteld. Het ontbijt was ok maar omdat het niet bijgevuld werd moest je tevreden zijn met de overschotten als je ‘pas’ om 9 u aan tafel kwam. Bij het uitchecken zat er een man aan de receptie (eigenaar??) die bijzonder onvriendelijk was. Hij negeerde ons eerst en vernoemde dan het te betalen bedrag maar verder kwam er geen woord uit. Hij gunde ons geen blik…ongehoord. Het is een mooi domein met veel potentieel, maar dat wordt teniet gedaan door de laksheid om herstellingen uit te voeren en door de onvriendelijkheid van sommigen.
• Dirk (10/5): Prachtige uitvalsbasis voor de Montefalco, het natuurgebied van San Sibillini et de waterval van Marmora. - Prachtige omgeving, prachtig hotel, uitstekende kamer (suite), uitstekend restaurant, zeer mooie tuin, overdekte parking (met zonnepanelen). Zoals vele hotels in Umbrië is er een probleem met warm water in de lavabo (niet in het bad, niet in de keuken): gewoon onverklaarbaar.

• Giuseppe (6/5): Aspettative alte...deluse. - Il fascino della struttura antica e la bellezza della natura Sebbene la struttura in generale sia affascinante ed il luogo naturalistico, siamo rimasti molto delusi dalla camera, che era seminterrata con due finestrelle piccolissime ed un forte odore di umidità da risalita (voglio sperare che non fosse muffa ma il sentore era quello). Io sono asmatica, ed abbiamo subito chiesto speranzosi un cambio di camera, ma la receptionist ci ha risposto molto seccata che erano al completo e che saremmo dovuti rimanere lì. Inoltre dalle immagini viste online ci aspettavamo molto di più anche dal buffet della colazione e dal ristorante che serve la cena. Eravamo partiti con delle aspettative molto alte, vista anche la pubblicità che fanno, ma siamo rimasti delusi e non ci ritorneremo.

• Daniela (10/5): Ein wirklicher Geheimtipp, wir kommen gerne wieder. - Wunderschönes und liebevoll ausgestattetes Farmhouse mit Pool und weitläufigem absolut ruhigen Garten. Gemütliche Zimmer und schönes Restaurant, welches bei unserem Besuch leider Ruhetag hatte.

• Hannah (10/5): - Wonderful location. So peaceful. Beautiful setting. Staff were kind and helpful. Lovely pool. Everything was very good. Breakfast was limited but delicious. Just bring your mosquito spray! 😊
• Kurt (8/5): Mooie locatie en prima verblijf met tal van faciliteiten - Mooie plek in een zeer rustige omgeving. Bovendien goed gelegen als uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes. Grote parking, mooi ingerichte kamers, authentiek kader en andere faciliteiten zoals leuke salons, zwembad, restaurant, enz. Een fijne plek om te vertoeven. Een minpuntje is de douche in onze badkamer, die bestond uit een klein sproeiertje in de badkuip. En als je een hele week blijft, gaat het ontbijt wel wat vervelen.
• Laurie (7/5): Value for money just not there. - The property itself is fabulous. The Pool was really nice, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are many seating areas around the grounds to relax without feeling crowded with other guests. The restaurant was not great. The food was barely average and items missing from the menu. We were in Umbria for 3 weeks and this was probably the worst food we ate on the entire trip. The service for breakfast was also below average. The selection was not what we had experienced on the rest of the trip. The grounds were impressive but not maintained very well. The property and facilities could use a lot of work. Normally this wouldn’t have been such an issue, but this property charged almost double what we had paid for more impressive stays on the rest of our trip, so the value for money was just not there.
• Coldsideofthepillow (8/5): - Spacious and stylish room and pleasant lounges, gardens and pool area. Great surroundings and countryside paths. 3 of 4 nights the AC was shut down completely around 12-1 am. Difficult to sleep without mosquito nets/open windows Still a good stay
• Anna (9/5): Soggiorno davvero piacevole in location suggestiva e di grande gusto. - Location meravigliosa, arredata con gusto e rispetto dei materiali locali. Ristorante ottimo, colazione ricca e di buona qualità. I due salotti creano una atmosfera calda e accogliente, lo spazio della piscina è davvero gradevole ed il giardino incantevole. Migliorerei ulteriormente la cura degli arredi nelle stanze, il confort ed il design del bagno.
• ANNITA (10/5): Posto incantevole - Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte e siamo stati benissimo !! Avevamo una stanza bellissima, il borgo è meraviglioso !! La sera abbiamo cenato presso il loro ristorante.. cibo buonissimo.. e la mattina la colazione era eccezionale !! Tutto lo staff è gentile e disponibile !! Lo consiglio sia come luogo per una breve fuga sia per soggiornarci per qualche giorno. Torneremo presto !!! Tutto perfetto !!!
• Miriana (7/5): - Il Borgo è meraviglioso, ci si può godere del sano relax immersi nel verde o a bordo piscina. La camera essenziale, pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario. La colazione, il momento migliore in cui poter rilassarsi e assaggiare le prelibatezze del posto. Abbiamo prenotato un massaggio e una sauna nella loro spa. I prezzi dei massaggi erano scritti nei dépliant, ma non era scritto da nessuna parte, nè ci è stato comunicato dallo staff il prezzo della sauna, che pensavamo fosse gratuita. Solo dopo aver effettuato la spa, ci hanno comunicato che anche la sauna fosse a pagamento. Abbiamo esposto quanto detto sopra, e inizialmente la ragazza dello staff sosteneva che i prezzi fossero scritti ovunque; dopo aver effettuato le opportune verifiche, si è scusata e sosteneva che avendo cambiato da poco le varie brochure effettivamente il prezzo della sauna non era presente da nessuna parte. Appurato l'errore da parte della struttura, non c'è stato quindi alcuna misura mitigativa nei confronti del cliente, nè alcuna proposta per venirci incontro in qualche modo.
