I would have liked if we were offered supplies during check-in. Going back to get things is not ideal. A broom would be great because of the sand.

• Kelly (1/5): Would never stay here again. Waited in line for 1.5 hours to check in - Was close to beach, shopping and restaurants Very unfriendly staff! No where on the booking.com website did it state that there was a different location to check in . Walked around with my family in the dark with luggage trying to find where to check in.

• Abhishek (2/5): Horrible. - Bedding was super comfortable. Had nice sleep. Office was far from the property. One has to walk half mile to check in and then come back to hotel location. Staff was arrogant. Bathroom was clogged and never resolved. We have to go to other room for taking bath. Portable AC right next to bed wasn't a good experience. It was making lot of noise. Never expected a portable AC in hotel room. Overall it's a waste of money. All facilities like breakfast area, pool etc were half mile away like one has to go to public library.

• Rodrigo (8/5): Custo benefício muito bom . - A cama é maravilhosa, descansamos muito bem, fica bem na beira do mar mesmo , aparentemente super tranquilo o local , polícia direto , andamos pelo calçadão à beira bar , tinha gente correndo , esportes e muito mais bem movimentado. A localização da recepção , pouso o endereço do booking não é o mesmo da recepção, pegamos o Uber e ficamos na frente da entrada dos quartos aí tive que deixar a família lá , pedir informações para depois de duas quadras achar a recepção , isso achei ruim , o café apesar de tb não ficar perto dos quartos 3 quadras para frente é muito bem servido.

• Velazquez (10/5): Del mar dónde quiera vivir permanentemente - Después de años visitando el mismo motel del mar , al fin Wilson de recepción resolvió el grandísimo problema de la internet, así todo en general fue excelente y en particular de Wilson con quién trabajo desde más de 7 años, necesita ser remunerado por su excelente trabo amabilidad y profesionalidad.. añado a Dana la del desayuno quien hace un excelente trabajo. La pulizia eccezionale: alcune recensioni precedenti ci avevano scoraggiati e invece è stata una delle strutture più pulite che abbiamo trovato in un mese. La lobby è difficile da trovare: ha un altro indirizzo e non è indicato da nessuna parte, siamo arrivati sotto un temporale tropicale e fare il check in è stata un'impresa.

Llámame el martes al front desk antes de hacer la compra para que me garantizarán la habitación # 2122 , y desde el lunes estubo vacía pero sucia, y cuando llegamos aún estaba sucia , me la dieron a las 4:45 pm , la del front desk me había asignado el día antes y no la mando a limpiar, Que pasa ? No está haciendo bien su trabajo, todo lo demás me fue excelente y solo iré si tengo está misma habitación, la internet del edificio hace rato no es buena, siempre voy a mismo edificio y lo reporto pero no hacen nada .
• Hilprime (1/5): Worse stay ever! - Maybe location was ok. But there are much better hotels and places for the same price in much more better locations, with nicer facilities. Not worth for what you receive. The room was a complete disaster. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this place was nothing like the photos. The shower was broken, the walls were dirty, the floor was damaged, and there was a constant humidity smell that made it feel unclean. Worst of all, there was a loud alarm noise that rang nonstop, day and night, making it impossible to sleep. The laundry facility was out of order, even though it was advertised as available. But the real nightmare was the staff. I clearly told the front desk I wanted to pay for two nights of parking, since I wasn’t sure about the third. They only charged me for one, without telling me, and the next day my car got towed. I had to pay over $220 to get it back. When I confronted them, they offered no help, no apology, and took zero responsibility. They blamed me for their own mistake. This hotel is a scam, with dishonest staff and horrible service. I’ve stayed in many places around the world, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Do not book here... it’s not worth the risk! There are other hotels, with better prices and better locations!

Their properties are OK but could use better maintenance. Breakfast was a few blocks away at one of their 23 properties. Parking is horrible and expensive.

• Jessica (8/5): Very good - The location is great! The Del Mar is a good value, for what you get. I have stayed at this location several times. The floors could have been a little cleaner, they were a little sandy but that is to be expected at the beach. The water pressure in the shower was not great, but it was hot and it got the job done.

• Donna (5/5): It was not what I expected. - It was in an ok location. The parking wasn’t the greatest nor was the fact that you had to pay for it. It was dated and looked a lot better in pictures. The pools and the breakfast were not in the same vicinity as our motel so we skipped those amenities. This made the price I paid for one night a bit too much.

• Charles (4/5): Unfortunate choice. - Rediculous. One location a few blocks from room. Only a short window of time. Not clean, food availability. Pool was blocks away from room. Wrong room to begin with.
• Marlene (3/5): Will not go back. - Location was good. The information of Explaining everything at the site when booking. The Rooms smelled bad like old and humid. No waste basket in bathroom, no floor towel, the shower had black mildew on walls and sides. There was no coffee on the room, but a note that you had to buy it if you wanted lt. It say it had pool, but the four pools were in other hotels, not on the one we stayed. No beach chairs or beach towels provided. The free breakfast, was blocks away in a different restaurant and only from 8-9 and we are on vacation. We did not go. The reception was blocks away and maybe it was explained before in their web site but I didn’t see it. Parking said it was private but we had to pay for it as well. I don’t believe I will be booking there again. I don’t tend to do reviews, sorry 😞

• Traveler (8/5): great location! - Good location, friendly and caring staff. Pools need to be cleaned better, there is a sediment mark all around the perimeter of the pools inside next to the water. Also, no-smoking needs to be enforced better. Maybe, they should have some buildings where it's ok to smoke outside on the patios and some where it's not (and to not put the ashtrays on the patios of those ones), and have people be able to indicate in the booking it they want a smoking patio or a non-smoking one. We had a patio with non-smoking signs and ashtrays. Also, people smoke inside the units, even though it says not to, or in the doorways. They should definitely introduce some totally non-smoking buildings. Also, if you do a late check-out where it says it's $35, be aware that it's actually $39.55 with taxes/fees. Cockroaches is something to be aware of, but that's tropics, so to be expected. Just don't leave any food out at all, wash the dishes as soon as you are done eating, and take the garbage out daily. Then you won't attract them. Overall, everyone in the hotel is helpful and is trying to make your stay comfortable, and Fort Lauderdale is an amazing destination!

The bathroom had no soap only a little piece that broke the first time with your shower only two towels for three days. The toilet paper was on the floor. The pool area the music was extremely loud extremely loud. The office staff did not tell us that we could ask for a kitchen basket, kitchen box horrible prices in the little store outrageous

• Jose (4/5): Overall- it was alright /Meh could be better. - I enjoyed the property's proximity to the beach, which made it convenient for leisurely walks and enjoying the ocean. Having a fully equipped kitchen and refrigerator was very convenient, allowing me to prepare meals and store groceries easily. The spacious living room provided a comfortable space to relax and unwind after a day outdoors. New management - No longer have beach chairs or kitchen utensils during my stay, I found the property grounds to be unkept, and the room was in need of a refresh as the walls were dirty. Additionally, kitchen utensils were missing and some furniture was broken or missing altogether. These issues significantly impacted my experience. Free breakfast hours are inconvenient from 8 am to 9:00 am / Parking was extra $20 per day.

• Elenbaas (1/5): Miami is the ONLY reason this place exists lol - The only thing I liked was the price just barely. Completely run down and unmaintained. Filled with bugs before we arrived and during our stay. They started full room construction the 2nd day on our trip, and my 3 yr old daughter was so scared of the noise we had to be moved rooms TWO blocks away from my family, and would not be refunded the single day because of using Booking.com (which I will be requesting a single-day refund) the “breakfast” they provide you is of the lowest possible quality, only bread items and bananas for fruit, no protein or anything else, cream cheese is left in the whole tub outside for everyone to scoop out of. Apart from a couple the staff is like interacting with a ghost, they are beyond rude as well, and trust me I understand people are annoying but WOW! The “new” room we were given had No central AC as are other room, it had two AC units and ALL of the windows were broken, Room #103 and our first room was #2126, well apart from that guys Miami is great and I will be back, but N.O.T HERE!

Check in was blocks away and not communicated on the reservation so when we got there we had to wander around looking for signs and asking people. Room was pretty bare bones.

• Kay (2/5): Waiting for a response from the hotel owner. - location We did not realize that we had to lug our baggage 2 blocks to check in and then back to the hotel. This was not made clear when booking online. Upon check in we noticed that the front door lock and appliances were not functioning properly including the toaster. No soaps or shampoos were provided. The kitchenette that we booked did not come equipped with pots and pans. After overcoming the language barrier with the housekeeper on site, a box of kitchen items were delivered sans a spatula. We decided to wash some clothes in the outside washer and after we loaded $2 in change (which was lost in the machine) and the wet clothes in the dryer, we were very disappointed when we were told after the fact that the dryer was not working. An out of order sign would have been helpful. So we had no choice but to hang up wet clothes in the room as it was later in the evening, then move the clothes outside the next day. Not our choice of FUN during vacation! When we first went into the room, it had a heavy smell of bleach but later the first night the smell of bleach dissipated and a strong adverse smell reared its ugly head causing us to cough and have allergic reactions, runny nose, headache, etc. By the time we figured it out after inspection, we found a large growth of black mold and smaller areas on the ceiling in the bathroom were noticed. That must explain the moldy musty smell in the room. Also looking at the air AC vents it was apparent there was a lot of visible mold there as well. See photos attached. We did not turn the AC on the entire stay. It is totally unhealthy and unacceptable to rent rooms in this deplorable condition! The room should be deemed uninhabitable. The photos and ratings online were deceiving and rise to the level of consumer fraud, misrepresentation, negligence, etc.

But it was ok! For the location it was perfect! The checking office was too small and hot and crowded with people! It took me about an hour to check in! They changed my husband an extra $100 for no reason!
