Guest Reviews
- Lisa (9/5): - Location was perfect. 10 min walk from daughter who I was visiting and then a nice walk into town. Quiet location, slept so well.
- Lorribeth (5/5): Clean and comfortable but small, with little privacy and poor value amid ongoing building work. - We stayed one night (26 to 27 May) and found the apartment itself clean and comfortable. It is on the small side, but it had everything you could need for a short stay, so no complaints there. The main thing to flag is that the apartment is attached to the end of the main house in a quiet residential area, and the main house is currently undergoing major construction. Being joined to the main house means you are very aware of the comings and goings of the household, and any noise carries, so it never quite feels like a separate space of your own. As a result it did not feel especially private. We were also woken early by the owner loading his trailer with rubble and building waste, which was not ideal first thing in the morning.
At over £100 a night, we did not feel it was good value for money given the disruption. A simple heads up about the ongoing building work would have been appreciated so we could have set our expectations accordingly. The space is fine for what it is, but worth knowing what you are walking into before you book.
- Louisa Taylor (10/5): - Cozy little apartment. Great location. Fabulous little garden space to enjoy the sunshine ☀️ Hassle free.
- Jane (10/5): Lovely accomodation reasonable access to town centre - It was clean, comfortable and cosy, easy to access in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
- Tracy (7/5): Was fine once it warmed up, hosts could have put the heater on for us to warm it up - Convenient for our stay Freezing cold on arrival
- Amitava (9/5): - The room was neat and tidy. Every facility was provided. We used the kitchen and the facilities were available. It was in a quiet area with no disturbance. I couldn't find any.

- Valerie (8/5): The apartment was ideally situated for us and was well equipped and comfortable. - The location of the apartment was ideal as we were visiting family very close by. We only had a one night stay but the apartment had everything you could possibly need. The apartment felt a little cold until the heating came on around 6.00pm but there was an electric heater which took the chill off.

- Irene (8/5): Enjoyed our stay in this nice apartment - Good location for our needs Internet speed
- Preeti (8/5): Good stay in an easily accessible place. - Good location. Host was quick to reply to messages and turned the heating up as it was very cold. I

- Crafty Badger (10/5): A superb little apartment for comfortable stay in Harrogate. - Everything was clean, comfortable and of excellent quality. The host was super helpful when we had a bit of difficulty accessing the wifi. The kitchen is small but well equipped for a short stay. The layout works really well and the bathroom is a good size considering the size of the apartment. There was a generosity is the supplies - more than enough towels, lovely warm bedding and plenty of it, enough toilet paper and some lovely biscuits and other basics in the kitchen. The wifi was a bit tricky for us to access and this is an important facility for our disabled daughter. We got onto it eventually with help from the host.
- Lisa (10/5): Fantastic stay in a superb location - Amazing find! Clean, comfortable and cosy, with everything we needed for a lovely weekend. Bonus arrival treats were a nice touch too! There's nothing I would improve about our stay.
- Colin (7/5): When is an apartment really an annexe? - The bed was quite soft, and I thought we'd both suffer however it was actually very comfortable.
Although we weren't able to use the biscuits left for us due to a gluten allergy, we really appreciated the thought. The access is via a rear gate that was quite stiff and there was no defined path to the doors even though they were only a few steps away over some stones and a muddy/grassy small garden.
There was no oven which we had neglected to notice in the description and we were just about to buy a couple of meals when we realised we hadn't seen an oven and ended up buying microwaveable meals instead. Perhaps an air fryer would be a good idea as they become more popular.
Although "free" the wifi was a little hit and miss at times but it did manage to stream a film so not all bad.
The hot water took a long while to come through hot which seems like a waste of water, the shower once hot was lovely though, the central heating is controlled within the house and there were no separate controls in this annexe however an electric heater had been placed in the lounge which was appreciated.
- Wale (9/5): Superb - Private. Quiet and very clean.lovely place for a quick stop
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Bob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (9/5): Small for any more than 2 people. We were there in a cold snap, owners made sure we were warm enough going the extra mil - Clean, comfy
- Alexander (7/5): Adequate. We would only use the apartment again if the bed was changed. - Well equipped. Easy access. Street parking. Hosts responsive. Location good for us. The bed. Very soft. Maybe to some people's taste but so soft it was impossible to change position without wakening one's partner. And the bed squeaked. There was an issue with the bathroom door but it was quickly dealt with by the hosts. Not sure why but there were a couple of days when the shower only provided one hot shower.
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place, private and comfortable. Good value for money. Was quite cold. The heating was run off the main house so when we got back in the evenings it was very cold. Recommendation for the landlord to add a couple of electric wall heaters.
- Rachael (8/5): The apartment was as described and was nice and clean. - The apartment was clean and comfy, it was cold when we got there but soon warmed up with the heater. There was road side parking outside the apartment and was a 30 minute walk into Harrogate town centre.
- Tindale (7/5): Good -
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - It was the perfect size and the bed was super comfortable. It was clean and accommodating
- Susan (8/5): Perfect little home pretty close to Harrogate town centre. - Lovely apartment which had everything we needed.
- Michala (10/5): Very cosy, great facilities and a good location for what I needed. I have already rebooked for another visit. - It was a lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable There wasn’t anything
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were available if had any.problems, which we didn't. Very clean. The photo doesn't do the apartment justice. Everything we needed was available. There was a local bus service to Harrogate and the train/bus station. The bus travelled past the Conference Centre. The bus took about 15/20 mins. The best bus stop was on Hill Top Road just off Bilton Lane if going into town. Return journey Sandhill way. I think that's right. I would definitely book this apartment again.
- Leah (6/5): Ok stay but freezing - Nice decor and location There was no heating apart from a plug in heater. I have a small child so this could become a hazard and risk of burning or keeping it on over night could also cause a fire. My young son was unable to sleep through the night due to being so cold. There should be access to heating within the apartment that’s attached to I’m assuming owners own home. Luckily we was out most of the time but this is an essential for any Paying customer and a small plug in heater just doesn’t cut it.
- Wendy (7/5): Would recommend to friends - Location to our means, horse racing at ripon Heating very cold in evening, electric heater too to long to heat apartment up.
Plus me being short couldn't put the latch over on the gate, my partner had too do. Not good if on my own.
- Chloe (10/5): Apartment was clean. Staff were friendly, came to our rescue when we couldn’t work the TV🙈 Some lovely snacks, coffee po - Apartment was clean. Staff were friendly, came to our rescue when we couldn’t work the TV🙈 Some lovely snacks, coffee pods, plenty toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and towels. Everything we needed they had. Double bed was comfy, sofa bed was great and ideal as there was three of us. Overall an amazing stay and for such a cheap price! We will be visiting again. One slight problem with quilt cover, was some sort of red stain on it (looked like blood). However was no problem and they smelt clean, as if just been washed.
- Alex (8/5): Our stay September 2024 - Very clean and cosy apartment, perfect for travelling into central harrogate and full of amenities. The Air fryer was a game changer! The apartment was a little cold at some times however a radiator was provided and quickly fixed :)
- Doreen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (10/5): Gorgeous little garden flat - Beautifully finished little garden flat ideal for visiting Harrogate (a short drive) Comfy bed with lovely linen and pillows etc. spotlessly clean and well equipped . Lovely owner who we met briefly who lives in the adjoining house. Plenty of parking nearby . Would stay again. The only minor thing was that the sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable so I just slept on the sofa as it was but this did not spoil the stay
- Denise (10/5): A little Gem - A very well presented appt. It had everything we needed and more. Towels, tea towels, washing up liquid and sponge, coffee pods for the machine... Complete privacy. It had its own tiny little garden with a table and chairs. Which was lovely as we did get some sun 🌞 Nothing
- Derek (8/5): Very good -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional - Nidd house is amazing, from a friendly host to well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and lovely and clean!
We were attending the food festival and it was a lovely 20-25min walk from the apartment or £7 taxi.
Spent the weekend relaxing, playing games, cooking and just basically having a week earned break. Thank you, highly recommend.
Small, private outdoor space too, with table and chairs ideal for morning cuppa or a drink later in the day.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional - Everything I needed. Home away from home. N/a
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Very nice comfortable apartment The WiFi was patchy

- Rashamira (10/5): I highly recommend this place - The apartment is cosy and super clean! The kitchen was well equipped, it had an air fryer, microwave, ample plates, cutlery etc and even had extra virgin oil to use for cooking! Ian, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. My son and l really felt at home…I feel so much relaxed after staying in this serene place Nothing.
- Shaun (10/5): Full Marks - Neat apartment, great facilities, excellent location. I found a route very nearby leading to Nidderdale Greenway, a lovely walk. It was threatening rain one morning, so the brolly provided was a thoughtful touch.
Many thanks Toilet felt a bit flimsy (I'm 9½ stone)
- Jane (10/5): Great place lovely host. Would recommend anytime - Lovely clean cosy apartment. Everything you could ask for.
- Kwarteng (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Dawn (9/5): Little gem of an apartment - The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in!
It was a great quiet location, facilities were great albeit missing an iron. I am sure if we had mentioned it however, one would have been supplied.
The supply of tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival was a lovely welcome. I think it would have been better if the small outside area was paved all way through but wasn't an issue to have the grass.
- Peter (7/5): A well equipped apartment that could easily be made much more comfortable. - The property's cleanliness, quality of furnishings and equipment was extremely good. Everything we needed was supplied including milk and coffee pods. The flat was cold (the temperature fixed by the host at 18 deg) the central heating, including the towel rail, was always cold and as a result we could not get our towels fully dry. We had to use the electric fire provided to heat the lounge which is I am sure is not the most effective way of heating. The wifi router was shut away in a cupboard in the bedroom and as a result it was unusable in the lounge. There was no info provided regarding recycling of rubbish.
- Katarzyna (9/5): Great stay! - Apartment small but very cosy and clean, kitchen was well equipped and everything was in place for a short family stay. Location-walkable to the town centre also bus stop just round the corner and lots of small shops in the area. Had a fantastic family time, enjoyed every minute. N/a happy with everything
- Young (8/5): Very good -
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - There was coffee machine and also snacks for breakfast . Felt like a 5 star hotel to be honest Noisey bed

- Rhi (10/5): Amazing - So comfy and a lovely place to stay Feels really homey and welcoming
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Akhtar (7/5): Would definitely recommend this place - Nice clean and comfortable It was a very cold week, there was no heating when we arrived, it took serval hours before we were comfortable
- Lauren (10/5): Perfect for the weekend! - Everything
Super comfy, clean and well looked after! Nothing
- Keit (10/5): Loved it and will be back! - The fixtures and fittings are of beautiful quaint and it’s a warm, relaxing house. Even when the weather aided a problem, Ian the owner had it fixed at 9am on a Sunday morning, which was remarkable since it was Xmas eve. Amazing service! Nothing
- Oliver (10/5): Fantastic stay with no issues whatsoever. - Easy access, great communication and apartment was warm and clean. Easy walk to town or to go on nice rural walks. Nothing negative to say.
- Paul (10/5): Nice relaxing break - Comfortable clean good quality fixtures and fittings nice little extra touches Nothing really
