Guest Reviews
- Pieter Willem (10/5): -
- Jeroen (10/5): - Very tastefully designed cabins, all comforts. Only one thing: the walking bridge that provides access to the cabins is firmly connected, so that other guests walking to their cabin made ours tremble a bit. Luckily, these guests were also early sleepers...
- Andre (9/5): What a great place. Will go again - Breakfast and dinner was fantastic.
- Remain (9/5): Comfortable and lovely. - The place and the people None

- Mivhael (9/5): Excellent. Highly recommend place to explore the Zambezi river - Perfect location. Excellent activities and excursions lead by knowledgeable guides. Wonderful birdlife with many new species seen. Highly recommended Could do with some rain gear for boat transfers in the rain. Small thing though in the scheme of things
- Muller (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mazinza (9/5): Beautful location - Beautful senary and location is beautful. Environment is beautful, friendly staff and delicious food
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Luxury option on the Zambezi with incredible birdlife. - A splurge luxury accommodation option. The rooms are awesome overlooking the Zambezi River - spacious with luxury finishes. The dining and bar areas are lovely with good meals. Loved the sunset cruise and the bee-eater colonies. On the expensive side but value for it. That I booked only one night here. Should have stayed longer.
- Chris (10/5): Beautiful and very romantic. A little pricy, dinner could be included in the price. -
- Silva (8/5): Very good -
- Evelyn (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect, with one exception: The lady at the reception when checking in was totally unfriendly, the rest of the staff howewer was cordial and helpful.
- Jan (10/5): The best stay on the Zambesi - Excellent location, staff, and food
- Jacqui (8/5): A well hidden piece of heaven, with many angels to help us. - In order to leave as early as possible, we opted for a breakfast box, which was good. The bread was a bit dry and juice was cheap, but rest was good. The mosquitos when sitting on the nice balcony. But what can you do about it in this time of year and in such beautiful environment
- Annie-bannie (9/5): Be careful or you could end up relaxing too much!!! - Very peaceful location, and great to arrive at the lodge by boat along the Zambezi River. The car was left at the camp, and when we picked it up, it had been washed.
Staff were amazing and the guide for the river trips certainly knew about not only the wildlife along the river, but also the cultural life of the local tribes.
Good food in the restaurant. Nothing
- Julie (10/5): As a bird watcher’s wife, I was concerned about spending 4 nights in this lodge - but I loved the times on the river and - The cabin was right by the Zambezi River. The cabin was large, well designed and very comfortable. The food excellent.
The river were a highlight for us. Loved the isolation of the place. Great bird watching with Masule.
The staff were attentive and gentle. Nothing
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional - The location is wonderful and tranquil. And the food was outstanding with exceptional attention to detail.
- Kessler (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent!
Hileni and Harrison delivered the best service
- Eric (10/5): Amazing stay at the Zambezi Mubala River Lodge - This was a PHENOMENAL experience!! The property is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in a spectacular and remote location. We had to get to the property by 30-minute boat ride down an incredibly beautiful segment of the river. The property is eco-oriented and the chalets are all river facing and beautifully anointed. The staff are wonderful and the food was fabulous. The sundowner was very much worthwhile. This is a place for birders and for those who are interested in seeing the Carmine bee eaters (but on
ly for a very short window). Google had an extremely difficult time finding the road to the property, likely due to some changes in the roads since it was last updated. We persisted and were rewarded accordingly.
- Karen (10/5): Excellent Lodge - Lovely lodge, spotlessly clean, good food and friendly staff. Excellent area for birding. Thank you Rulinda for everything and for all your help with our onward journey.
- Hendrik (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and were treated really well by everyvody, birdwatching was superb, all outstanding - Setting, amenities, layout really great
- Arthur (10/5): Unique location in Zambezi - Great loation with informed staff. Highight was going to see the Carmine Bee-eaters downriver. Pretty much all inclusive wrt activities, meals, etc.
- Annatjie (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
