Guest Reviews
- Sion (9/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Great stay. Great communication. Very relaxing - Great modern property with views of the mountains Nothing
- Bettina (9/5): Great place to stay in Kinlochleven with fantastic views. - Great location in a lovely little town. Restaurants were fantastic - had something different at each one. Beautiful views from the residence and a short walk to everything you might need. There were a few small issues with the property - all of which were noted by the owner and none of which had an impact on our stay.
- Penelope (8/5): McVittie Mayhem - Spacious and well equipped The air conditioning was faulty and the house got very warm and we were unable to cool it down by opening windows due to the very high volume of midges
- Pat (10/5): Wonderful stay, would highly recommend. - House was roomy, clean and had everything we needed, the view overlooking the mountain was spectacular and all of the rooms were a generous size. The fire was a wonderful addition and the location was great too. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We struggled to work the oven, even with instructions it took us 40 minutes to work it out. Maybe we are just too old for the modern tech :)
- Kirsty (4/5): Great space with view, 3 bath/shower rooms. Hot tub non-functional, beds too small & uncomfortable. - The mountain view was excellent.
Plenty of space and 3 bath/shower rooms.
The central heating and hot water systems were very effective. The hot tub was unusable - there was no water in it apart from a dirty puddle at the bottom.
In addition one side was damaged, the cover did not seem to fit properly and there were no steps to access the tub, had it been functional. This was particularly disappointing and I would expect a partial refund in relation to this due to this missing feature as I would not have booked this property had I known about the condition of the hot tub.
The hot tub was a key reason for booking this property due to my husband's arthritis and anticipated leisure benefits which were denied to all of us for the duration of our stay
The beds were smaller than expected and the mattresses were too shallow, to the extent that we could all feel the bed springs beneath. Mattress toppers, which would have alleviated this to an extent, were absent.
There were no rugs anywhere in the house to counteract the coldness of the concrete floors despite pictures on Booking.com showing a rug in the living-room.
The shower bases filled up quickly and appeared flimsy, buckling under our weight.
There was one piece of kindling available on arrival in contrast to the description of adequate supplies being supplied to light the fire on arrival.
- Susan (8/5): Beautiful week in Scotland sunshine all week - Very clean comfortable property very spacious for our whole family. Lovely location ideal for walking and exploring The TV is pretty useless if you’re happy logging into iPlayer, YouTube, Netflix etc….no freeview! With 3 different remotes which didn’t work very well. Disappointed the hot tub got disconnected couple weeks before our stay! Some blinds would be handy in the lounge
- Archie (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muhammad (9/5): Brilliant - The view. The cleanliness. The facilities. All heating units were not functioning properly.
- David (7/5): Very peaceful, beautiful location with stunning views. - Fabulous location , stunning views, plenty of space in the house for a family of five. Loved the hot tub! Nothing really comes to mind.
- Mcaleese (9/5): All good, made for a comfortable stay. Thank you. - Great location, pub etc 5 min walk. Good sized accom, clean and tidy. If being picky:
Batteries in tv remote need changing. Outside light over hot tub didn’t work.
Beds/mattresses could be better.
- Lynn (9/5): Our group of seven had a lovely stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. - The property was spacious and modern. We loved the view and the hot tub The driveway was sloping and our hire car was difficult to reverse out of it. The downstairs bathroom was lacking hanging space for towels
- Glen (7/5): Good - Fantastic location
Reported the below and in fairness an attempt was made to rectify but unable to do so during our stay
Reall;y needs to be sorted prior to next customers visiting Dish washer and air con not working also door locks not working one bedroom door did not shut properly
When with a large group of family or friends they should be a must !!
- Anna (10/5): it was really nice and we will book it again. - we liked the fact that there was three functuall bathrooms, very noce.
it was cleen and good space for everyone.
Bonus was the hottub and all the stunning wiev.
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Comfortable, excellently equipped place in a great location in the West Highlands - The wood fire, the hot tub, the local pub and the location. Can also warmly recommend the Seafood Cafe which is about five miles from the property. We were there for a small family reunion and the place was ideal for that. No criticisms - everything was good.
- Janeyk (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous house. Beautiful views. It has everything you could possibly need. Very clean.
- Kerry (9/5): Perfect and relaxing dog-friendly mountain getaway. - The accommodation had all the appliances we needed including dishwasher, washing machine, and even a coffee machine. It was extremely spacious and we loved putting the log fire on after a long day of walking in the autumn weather. It was really dog friendly, and we normally would find our dogs curled up in front of the fire or staring out the large windows at the views of the mountains and village below. The garden didn't feel fully enclosed for small dogs as we worried our dogs could slip under the gate or certain parts of the surrounding fence. We just kept them on a lead in the garden to be safe. Other than that it was perfect!
- Erica (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing family vacation tucked away in the Scottish Highlands - The location was great. Kinlochleven is a quaint mountain town and we are glad we chose to stay there. The property was well decorated, had a well stocked kitchen, great hot tub, wonderful view, and everyone in our family loved it! lots of room to spread out. I would recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful getaway in Scotland. Wish we would have stayed longer! Nothing :)
- Lavanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terry (10/5): Modern comfortable property in a wonderful location with great facilities - Located in a village on the West Highland Way, had a Co-op, a pub, takeaway, indoor activity centre. Very modern building with aircon downstairs, lovely kitchen, spacious rooms and plenty of bathrooms/showers - oh and a hot tub. TV had YouTube and other apps to watch which the kids loved. There isn't anything we didn't like, we had to contact the management company about the hob but that went smoothly and everything happened very quickly and efficiently. The property is close to Fort William but around a 30 min drive but this was okay for us.
