Guest Reviews
- Shay (10/5): Loved it! Good value - I absolutely loved how responsive and hospitable the host is 🙏🏼 and airport shuttle arranged easily (please tip). At this property, you will be within the small fishing village.. so you feel very apart of the community. You will likely be the only tourist in that area, but people are so kind and you are a 12 min walk from the action.
Everything worked well and you have everything you need. Door is slightly tricky to lock but leave a centimeter between the wall and sliding door vs shutting it completely May be tricky with a lot of heavy luggage.. but I’m 100 pounds and managed my backpack and roller bag just fine
- Helena (8/5): - Las vistas y lo agradable que eran los vecinos Hay muchos animales que no te dejan dormir
- Petar (9/5): Authentic El Nido experience - It's a true authentic experience. You are staying in a local house in the middle of a fishing village. You won't see many tourists in this part of town. It may look a bit shocking at first sight but once you get used to it, you will learn to appreciate how the locals live. Walking distance to the center of El Nido and all the shops and restaurants. Arranged island hopping through them as well. The house has everything you may need and more. You are surrounded by roosters and chickens which means you need to bring earplugs (if not, the host has already provided some!) :)
- Job (10/5): Amazing homestay and staff! The surroundings are interesting, you will be in a very local village wh - The apartment is located in a more local area, so you have to walk through a community of local huts to get there. It may feel "different" at first, but it is very safe and everyone there was nice. The kids were always eager to greet anyone with smiles and high-fives. It felt refreshing to be away from the typical tourist spots, which gives a genuine feel of local life.
The house has a balcony with a fantastic view of the bay and the town centre. It was perfect for escaping the busy downtown and relax with a cold beer while enjoying the beautiful view.
The host and staff were exceptional, providing great tips, arranging boat tours, and transportation.
I highly recommend this place without hesitation. That I couldn't extend my stay as they're already booked out. I'll definitely be back. :D
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - the staff , the house is really clean and neat .. smell good 👍 is good for long stay in el nido as a bag packers .. and also got a nice view Just the serounding the area .. but is okay as long as the house is clean
- Rita (9/5): Live like a local while you experience the beauty of El Nido - We stayed here back in June for a couple of weeks. The house has everything you could possibly need, and it is perfect if you like to cook your own meals. The view from the balcony upstairs is gorgeous. Location is 10/10 as you stay only a few minutes walk from El Nido beach and all the boats for island hopping. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a nice stay. We lived among the locals and were very grateful for the experience! You’ll see a few small and big geckos, but they help keeping the house free of bugs! We tried to look for the positive in every situation
- Juan (10/5): It’s close to the touristic places, but staying in this place you can have a closer view of the local people. What I gre - Very nice place, all clean and the staff were more than helpful. Would be back There is a noisy rooster, but it would be good for people that like to wake up early haha
- Dorita (9/5): Superb - The person who picked me up and dropped me off gave excellent service and the hostess was in constant touch.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga (9/5): Superb - The house exceeded our expectations, I'd even suggest to take better pictures as it was better in real life. A lof of space, privacy, it was away from noisy town area but close to everything and everything was clean. We were really comfortable.
Also we had a tricycle waiting for us on arrival and dropping us off upon chek out.
Communication with the property was easy and fast It's a common thing for all the Philippines ( so not really the accomodation issue), but if you are a light sleeper - take your earplugs as roosters start screaming at 4 am, and in this place it was just especially noticeable as they were right next to the place
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful place. The house has 3 floors, ground is the bathroom, 2nd floor is the bedroom and the top 3rd floor is the kitchen and balcony. Kitchen is well equipped so you can cook and make your own food if you are on budget trip or do the laundry. Little fishermen village so you can spend some time away from the tourist crowded area and be surrounded with very kind phillipino people and see they daily routine. Definitely will stay again 🥰
- Niina (7/5): Good - The location is middle of localities, so its nice if you like such surroundings. Excellent hostess and local help, Mr Kaya.Nice view friom 3rd floor. Great experience for us.Wifi was great, alkoi cooking facilities. Bad smell In the house, coming from bathroom. Early mornings due to cockadooles.
Would be good to have photos of area, so there is no surprises to anyone.
- Agustina (6/5): Nice place althought didn't like the area - The host and all the people that work regarding this booking are super nice and helpful!
Property itself looks like the pictures. I didn't ended up staying in this property although I've paid for it, here is why: When I arrived I saw the neighborhood in which the property was located and I decided to move somewhere else. Although the place is in fact around 12 min walking to the center of El Nido, it's located inside a local working community/neighborhood.
In order to find the place we had to be accompanied by a local person (which was very lovely by the way) as it's a hard location to be found. We had to walk a few blocks until you get near the Harbour Port and walked in between a very tiny street filled with piled up junk, chickens, flooded water, etc. while you are passing trough local houses.
There were no backpackers/foreign people in the area, no restaurants or any "tourist spot" if you know what I mean.
I wasn't expecting any kind of luxurious area or nothing that seems like that, but neither I was looking to stay in such a remote place.
¡Please do not misunderstand me, I don't mind to offend or be disrespectful in any way! It's just that as being a foreign person for the first time in a new country, I just didn't feel comfortable and safe walking all those km (specially at night) by myself.
If I've known or saw any photo/review regarding the area itself beforehand I wouldn't have booked this place.
Please note: this was my personal experience and preferences, if you want to experience El Nido in a true local way this will probably be the place you are looking for :)
- Roman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Preema (10/5): Wonderful experience - The affordability of this appartment was truly a blessing. I appreciate the reasonable rates without compromising on comfort and amenities. The small kitchen has everything I needed. The room was clean, providing a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring the beautiful sights of El Nido. The proximity to the shore was an added bonus, allowing us to indulge in leisure walks along the shore whenever we pleased. Beautiful birds right outside the window definitely made it more memorable. Not just in the partment
There was power outage but it's expected in the island. They have back up lights
The water pressure is not always strong but still there's water, they have back up storage🙂
Expectation was set prior which helped a lot.
Overall, it's still a wonderful experience.
