Guest Reviews
- Nicola (9/5): A fantastic base to explore Wales. Couldn’t ask for more. - Beautiful setting, very peaceful and close to local amenities. The apartment was gorgeous. I honestly couldn’t fault it.
- Trish (8/5): Enjoyable stay, we were fully aware that this place is undergoing restoration. - The grounds and gardens were amazing.
- David (10/5): Perfect - So peaceful and such a beautiful location to relax. We couldn't stay longer!

- James (10/5): Just what I needed and looking forward to coming back! - I stayed in the self contained apartment to read and write. It was clean, well equipped, wonderfully quiet and with a fantastic view. I also love what Raj and Tom have done with the place. The attention to detail is very good.
I’m looking forward to coming back in the Spring and Summer with friends and family.
- Judith (10/5): A fantastic stay in a stunning location! - This was a gem of a find...I cannot rate the accommodation, facilities and setting highly enough. From meeting the host to leaving everything was amazing. We had a self contained apartment in what had been the staff quarters (though no staff would have had such beautiful rooms!). It was luxurious and extremely comfortable, like staying in the main part of the hall and the owners had obviously put a lot of care and attention into creating a stunning holiday let. We could use the front grounds freely, there were walks nearby and Welshpool was very close. Perfect! There was nothing I didn't like.
- Bettyboo (8/5): Lovely stay in this beautiful building. Stunning grounds & near to Welshpool Town. - Beautiful location. Historic building going through restoration. Ideal for exploring Welshpool area. Maybe mention in description of apartment that there are quite a few steps to access property which might be difficult for low mobility people.
- Freda (5/5): Passable - The location was very good - lovely views but handy for town and a nearby pub/restaurant. The lounge wasn't warm although the other rooms were fine. It would have been helpful to have had firelighters, papers, sticks to make lighting the wood burner easier. It would have good to have basic kitchen items as it was a self-catering apartment - oven gloves, tea towel, place mats....
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful property and amazing to see the reuse of older buildings getting repurposed. It was private and very quiet whilst we stayed. Would highly recommend
- Woolford (10/5): Dreamy - Beautiful hall. It is undergoing renovation but the rooms are gorgeous. Breakfast also lovely. We had a wonderful stay. It’ll be even more lovely when it’s finished.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
