- taylor (9/5): Cozy, home like feel - Good location to town centre. Comfortable, lounge and kitchen good size. Very clean. Has all the facilities you could need. Nothing
- Alan (9/5): Lovely stay - Perfect for two people and two small dogs.
- Jenny (10/5): Absolutely brilliant, wanted to stay for longer in this picture perfect property - Beautifully decorated and furnished felt so cosy. The views were to die for. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the welcome scones with a pint of milk were a god send after a long day travelling.
- Suzanne (8/5): - Location was excellent. Warm and cozy. Shower was excellent. Wee extras left were a nice touch. Unclear about recycling and bins, where to put sogwaste etc.. Some mouse droppings in bottom drawer where cooking equipment. Could do with more outside lighting near end of garden.
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Excellent accommodation with great views - Excellent comfortable accommodation. Location is great with plenty to do around the area and stunning views. Everything you need for a break is available. WiFi was a bit weak but system probably just needed a reset as download speed was very slow but upload speed quite fast. Also downstairs a bit cold compared to upstairs, radiator did not seem to heat up as much. That being said, it was not uncomfortable cold, just cooler.

- Peter (9/5): A relaxing stay in a delightful barn conversion with great views and a helpful host. - The host kindly provided some start-up food. We were self-catering for 5 nights and found the kitchen well-equipped for this. The accommodation is quiet, spacious, stylishly decorated and warm in the winter weather. The view out across Strangford Lough is stunning from both the bedroom and living room - great to watch dawn and dusk. Car parking was easy and safe. WiFi speed was erratic, but the host was responsive to our queries and is taking steps to solve this issue.
- Erin (10/5): - Ian was an amazing host, let us no about different places we could visit on our stay Very small issue but only thing it was missing was some kitchen roll and a tea towel to dry dishes
- Gary (8/5): Simple but perfect & a great & quiet location with beautiful views of Strangford Lough. - Location was great & the accommodation was simple but perfect.
Hosts were really helpful in any queries we had.
We would definitely visit again & recommend to friends The only thing to raise was the TV didn't operate very well - possibly due to internet connection etc ?
Of course I may have been operating the TV/Remote incorrectly - but perhaps a half-page note of 'How to operate the TV' would help visitors.
- Viacheslav (10/5): - Special thank you for late checkout!
- Castle (10/5): Great- I’ll be back when next working here and would stay if visiting Belfast for leisure. - Peaceful, well designed, great sea views, comfortable… good WiFi . Iain the hoist kindly also let me use his office for a lengthy zoom session I was running.
A real contrast to other work related stays I’ve had- great to arrive to fresh coffee and quality biscuits, breakfast cereals etc after a long day. Really appreciated. Very close to rural park, I went for a run up to the stunning monument… Road gets a bit busy- but in countryside in 2 mins. Great location for Stormont.
- Emilie (9/5): Great views, great location and great hosts! - The hosts were amazing! We flew over for a wedding and weren’t flying back until 22:00 on the Sunday night, they let us stay in the property for as long as we wanted (I think we left around 14:00). The property had all the amenities we needed and such beautiful views. It’s a short walk into the town (you have to walk for a few minutes until you reach a footpath). It is very nicely decorated, has a comfortable bed and brilliant shower!
- Kim (8/5): We loved our stay here, it’s so quaint and comfy and has a lovely view. - The key was left in the door for us.
- Denise (9/5): -
- David (9/5): Great two night stay, facilities were perfect for us and our Cocker Spaniel - Excellent location for a quiet break
- Erin (9/5): - The location was perfect. The barn is cosey and has a lovely view overlooking the Lough.
Loved that it was pet friendly.
- Kees (8/5): - De ligging en het uitzicht. Goede bereikbaarheid en goede verbinding naar Belfast. Voor een wat langer verblijf zou de keuken ietsje beter toegerust kunnen zijn.
- Patricia (10/5): - Clean, tidy & peaceful. I would definitely come back here. Not long enough stay

- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacque (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (7/5): Good - Location, views, set up and pets welcome Surprising lack of welcome pack after a long drive. Stairs to upstairs living area were far too difficult to negotiate for an elder relative. This needs mentioning in the advert.
- Amanda (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing stay with gorgeous views - The owner was super nice and very helpful, the place was perfect, view was amazing - one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! Will definitely be back! No dislikes
- Bernard (10/5): Really lovely barn conversion with beautiful views - quiet countryside location -
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Hamsterfox (9/5): Relaxing break in Ards area - Beautiful location overlooking Strangford Lough in an historic property. Nothing.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Great - Great accommodation, views are stunning and close to all amenities. A perfect get away to explore the area. Great that the unit is pet friendly but a little closed off area where the dogs can go unaccompanied to relieve themselves would be a great addition. I know it is a tricky entrance so does not detract from booking again in the future.
- Huston (10/5): Beautiful place with a great view - We loved our stay at the converted barn! The view was amazing and it had everything we needed, will definitely visit again
- Lennox (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (10/5): Absolutely incredible - This converted barn is absolutely stunning, the location is gorgeous with view of the lough from front and scrabo from the back.
The host couldn’t be any nicer and accommodating, we will definitely be back but for longer this time. Thank you so much Nothing
- Alana (10/5): Such a beautiful place and completely exceeded our expectations -
- Peter (9/5): This was our second stay in the barn and we look forward to returning in future. - Superb location; beautifully decorated; comfortable and warm; easy and convenient car parking; ideal for a self-catering break; friendly and helpful hosts. Internet speed often slow.
- Jefferson (8/5): Warm and very comfortable - Warmth, comfort generally. Convenient location between town and Lough country Location not well described but it shouldn't put anyone off. Realistic photos rather than 'tourist' shots. Steep single flight of stairs should have been described, maybe with photo.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ella (1/5): Stay away!! - Location was great . Place was filthy, we didn't stay. No curtain or blinds on window in livingroom. Windows do not open. Stain on the bed covers. Cracked window. Dirty walls especially kitchen. Terrible customer service, we have plenty of photos to prove it . Very low standard , not like on the photos. Dirt and Grime everywhere and shoddy workmanship.
Was a power outage in parts of northern ireland and only for us asking the host was his place ok before we arrived, his reply was that there was no electricity but he would leave the key in the door!
We give a chance and went out for a few hours and arrived back to the place around 19:30 and electric was back on and that's when we seen how badly the place looked. This is the first time I've had to leave anyone a negative review but the host ignores any messages when we tried to resolve this matter.
We travelled back home and will be sure to tell our friends not to be staying here!
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional - Great views, short drive to Newtownards, friendly and helpful host, lovely bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
- Eva (10/5): A little gem - The property was situated in a quiet location, a very short drive from the town. We didn't hear any traffic during our stay.
The property was clean and well equipped. The temperature was great and Leah was in touch to see if we required anything - she was easy to contact and responsive to messages.
The shower was lovely, instant hot water and great water pressure.
We loved the subtle Christmas decor too!
We'll definitely consider the property for future visits. The only thing that was a personal struggle was having to take the dog on the lead outside to go to the loo as there was no enclosed area where we could just open the door and let her out.
- Alan (10/5): Wonderful - The view was amazing and the owners were really accommodating. Nothing it was great.
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (9/5): Excellent accommodation and we hope to return in future. - Spacious, well-equipped and delightfully decorated accommodation in a quiet location with easy off-street car parking. Fabulous view from the living room window. Friendly and helpful host. Great for a self-catering break given supermarkets nearby and wonderful countryside on the doorstep. Only streaming TV was available, but Wifi speed was variable and sometimes too slow to allow us to watch TV on our laptop.
- Hayder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Cosy, well-equipped property with lovely views. - The property was warm and inviting, with lovely views across to Strangford Lough. It was well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed, and the host was happy to accept dogs. We liked it so much we extended our stay.
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely views from a lovely barn - The main house is next door so getting keys was easy. This is a lovely converted barn with a lovely downstairs room and a kitchen area upstairs. My only regret was that we were only there briefly but would recommend.
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly owner. Dog welcome. Lovely view.
- Karl (9/5): A Quaint and Quiet Stay. - The host was lovely and offered to grab some groceries for us on arrival to the accommodation.
A fully fitted kitchen allowed us to prep our meals.
The overall vibe of the accommodation felt homely.
Quite spacious for two people and offered enough room for spending a day or two indoors.
Fun entrance with a Dutch door and space to take off outdoor ware before entering accommodation. We traveled without a car and as there was no pavement it was difficult to leave the accommodation by foot (though host offered a lift into the town once aware of our situation).
The wifi offered was a little patchy, (mobile data was found to be more reliable)
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (10/5): Great host. A delightful converted barn. Calm atmosphere. -
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anita (10/5): Enjoyable trip to Northern Ireland. - Warm spacious and well equipped with a helpful owner. It also has good views. There isn't much to dislike, the road beside the property is a little too busy to walk on.
- David (8/5): Comfortable stay in a nice location. - The location - great for exploring Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula. And very handy for the Belfast ferry terminals!
- Bryhalliday (10/5): Lovely views and comfortable stay - Very clean and comfortable. Very quick to respond. Nothing
- Jacquie (10/5): excellent - lovely and cosy - excellent views - quiet - close to newtownards and surrounding towns, national trust properties and Castle Espie No terrestrial tv channels - streaming only
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Carmel (9/5): Superb -

- Ros (10/5): Great stay. Loads of space. Dog friendly and parking! - Really friendly welcome. Everything we needed for a longer stay. Fabulous views. Very comfortable. We were sad only to stay for one night. Nothing!
- Aisling (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable, beautiful scenery, lovely host!
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Excellent value accommodation, photographs undersell it somewhat. Accommodating hosts, private feeling location despite being part of a former farm complex, easy to get into town for supplies when needed. Nothing really, maybe some people would need a few more kitchen pots / dishes etc.
- Tim (9/5): Third time at this property, which i think says it all. - This is the third time we have stayed at this property. It is always very clean, and the owner is always friendly and helpful. It is very handy for the Newtownards area, and has everything you need for a short stay. Nothing all was good.
- Jeannine (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (10/5): A great little place. Ideal for a short stay - 2nd time staying here, the place is always spotless and fresh smelling. Our host checked during our stay that everything was ok. It has everything you need for a short stay. Nothing, all was good
- Keith (9/5): What a stay 2 Relax.. - All the things which make U comfortable were there..It was a upside down house which made it a Novel stay..The dog also enjoyed it..Warm in the house Mid March..So very comfortable..Parking and finding the place easy..Local shops on the doorstep..Great walking 4 the family or as I did with our dog just up the Road..U get a great lovely warm Welcome from the House holders and Family also the locals..Some fantastic Views from the property and just walking about..Well worth a stay even just acouple of days works a treat..
