Guest Reviews
- Angelica (10/5): -
- Helen (9/5): - Loved everything about the school room Nothing
- STEVEN (10/5): Would definitely stay again - The location in Helston was ideal for access to the town and was excellent for visiting various areas of interest around the coast. The Historic Schoolroom was a lovely property with a nice large living area. With it being self catering It would have been nice for the kitchen to have had a small hob but all in all a very nice place. nothing
- MB (9/5): Lovely spot, great central location that allowed us easy access to all the SW Coast trail points - The flat was as described. Lovely and light and spacious, need to walk downstairs for loo and kitchen. Streets very narrow so best to park in town car park close by. Separate private entrance. We are walkers and bus stop was 2 min walk from the house. Helston as a town is short of good fresh cuisine - take short bus ride down to Porthleven to taste all the great fresh fish and seafood.
- Heather (10/5): Romantic charm. - A extremely friendly and helpful host. The accommodation was clean, beautifully presented and very comfortable. Would certainly return. Many thanks.
- Roger (9/5): Amplio y luminiso apartamento.
- ian (10/5): - We're it was situated was very good the flat was very good and very clean 👌 👍 and she was very nice We're the property is situated
- Melanie (9/5): Really comfortable, relaxing place - Excellent location, fabulous sofas to relax on after a long day exploring. Really comfortable bed. On street parking can be a bit hit and miss, but Emma told us where we could park when we arrived and there were no spaces on street
- Lourdes (9/5): Superb - The room was very well decorated it had very nice chill feel to it. It was also warm all the time, it was great spending time in it. Kitchen facilities were also good, they had everything needed to start your day. The only thing was how cold the downstairs and wetroom was.
- William (9/5): Very nice stay in a nice location with a friendly host, would recommend to anyone visiting Cornwall! - Great location, just off the main road. A lovely little accommodation in a really nice town. Emma was super friendly upon arrival. Nicely refurbished accommodation, nicely laid out. Nothing to do with the accommodation but parking is sometimes quite limited! Be prepared to walk up the hill!
- Julia (9/5): Road outside car spaces were full all the time so we had to go to nearest car park - , this is an air b rather than air b&b. Shower
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faustine (8/5): Lovely stay - The cosiness and the place, just perfect to visit the end of the peninsula. Emma is very thoughtfull and kind. Everything is clean. The only negative point is the parking spot. The streets can be very narrow and the parking spot can be "far" from the Room
- Gianina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (9/5): I would very happily stay there again. And probably will. - Excellent location in the heart of the town. Very comfortable accommodation. Friendly people. The stairs weren't the easiest to negotiate. No TV (not a problem for me but might be for some).
- Jeff (9/5): A little slice of history. - The personal attention given by the host was awesome and easy. Accomodation was very clean and comfortable. Lovely feel throughout the property. Quiet and super close to town. Suited our purposes perfectly. Only thing that could possibly be improved is the shower area as the water tends to spread a bit on the floor. However this is being fussy and not a reason to avoid staying there.
- Kathy (9/5): An atmospheric apartment in historic Helston. Very close to bus stop with links to the coast path. - Beautifully decorated with many personal touches Down steep stairs to toilet /shower room.
No cooking facilities apart from toaster & microwave.
- Helen (9/5): Very comfortable. Tasteful haven. Perfect for a romantic break. - Character. Open plan. No hob/cooker. My fault for not checking!
- Ela (10/5): Emma is most fabulous host ❤️ The place it was all I needed and beyond 😊 - Absolutely everything 💛💛💛
- Martonian (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (10/5): A very good place to stay. - Comfortable, well furnished. Had everything we needed. A quiet position just off of the Main Street.
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bernadette (7/5): calm, serenity, close to the Blue and the town center. - The space in the bedroom, the situation in the town center, all the facilities, the calm of the road, the bed is good quality, all the room was well tidy, no problem to park the car around for free. Nothing to cook into the kitchen, we can't make the dark in the bedroom, the bathroom is very wet after use, the stairs are really dangerous to go to the toilets from the bedroom.
- Michael (9/5): Comfortable stay in a thoughtfully restored historic building, with many original features maintained, in a great locati - Fantastic location in a lovely town, comfortable bed, adequate kitchen and bathroom facilities, helpful host Nothing
- Geoff (10/5): A beautiful tranquil space in the heart of Helston. - A warm welcome from the owner with a quick tour of the thoughtfully and beautifully furnished apartment. The apartment is light and spacious with a lovely tranquil feel about it.
Situation is perfect in the historic old area of Helston and only a stones throw from numerous hostelries.
- David (10/5): Delightful host and studio, a must stay in Helston! - Emma the host was exceptionally customer/guest focused, genuinely very helpful and the accommodation was faultless, lovely large tranquil space, and great base for exploring surrounding areas (including very good bus routes, local amenities etc.) so highly recommend a stay at the Historic school room!! N/A
- Karan (10/5): Exceptional - The property was neat and clean. What we saw in the pics, is what we got. It was like a classic/vintage place to stay. I loved the decor and size of the room/living room. There is no dedicated parking, but there is plenty of space to park on the street.
- Mccarthy (9/5): Superb - The historic school room is a fantastic place to stay. Really calm and comfortable and a perfect base to explore West Cornwall. I cant wait to visit again
- Rachael (10/5): perfect for some peace and quiet yet central for getting out and seeing all that Cornwall has to offer - such a relaxed homely and beautifully furnished space I have a big car, so parking took a bit of thinking about. I dropped my luggage off then parked the car in the town car park about 3 minutes walk away. it’s green between 4pm and 9am or £3.50 for 24hrs so it was no bother really.
