Guest Reviews
- John (9/5): Easy, comfortable and convenient and decent value - Excellent location close to beaches and wonderful views. Car parking is a real bonus as it is at a premium being near to a holiday hotspot.
Comfy bed and excellent shower, spotless room
- Timothy (10/5): - Friendly welcome, clean, great location Nothing
- Sudeep (10/5): - Love the property and thr location. You can see sunrise from the window in the sea.
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Carina (9/5): Lovely room and ideal location for Polhawn Fort! - Lovey room and host, great location and very comfortable big bed! Signage could be better to locate the entrance you’re supposed to use! Felt like I was just knocking on a house rather than a BnB!
- Danielle (8/5): Beautiful - The location the hosts and the room was lovely had all amenities Hearing the water tank when water running from other rooms but it didn’t affect our stay and would recommend and we would stay again
- Senior (8/5): - Breakfast supplies, quiet location. Nothing.
- Kate (9/5): - Great location just off the coast path and close to Rame Head and Kingsand & Cawsand.
Really welcoming super helpful hosts and beautiful room with an awesome view Nothing
- Jon (10/5): Great place recommended - Great views (from Mewstone Room) good size room very clean and comfortable Two single beds pushed together different density mattresses on each bed, so not great to role over
- Sanzida Biswas (10/5): Perfect place to disconnect and connect with nature. - Everything was excellent.
We stayed for two days, and when we arrived, they had left us a welcome basket. They are very kind.
The family is wonderful, and the best thing about it is the sea view. The place is just 5 minutes from the event venue, so it didn't take us long to get there.
Highly recommended. nothing to say..
- Michelle (7/5): Great stop for Polhawn Fort - 5 mins by car or less - Clean beds lovely views perfect location for Polhawn Fort wedding I would say I’m more of a hotel person and I really don’t normally like to stay in someone’s own home but it was perfectly private, friendly and comfortable-the only observation I would have is that the curtains did not block out any light at all so we were woken by the sun before 6am. I would recommend a blackout blind or curtain lining to make guests properly comfortable.
- Senior (10/5): - Frei dly greeting by host, great location, quiet, breakfast snacks and drinks provided.
- Tom (10/5): Fab short stay. Ideally located for Polhawn Fort. A very warm welcome and would definitely stay again. - The location was beautiful and perfect for Polhawn Fort. The room was extremely comfortable. The location, the welcome, the bed, the room facilities.
- Harriet (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Great location and hosts! - The accommodation is located a beautiful location minutes from the amazing Cornish coast and 5 minutes from the wedding venue we were attending.
Our hosts Ian & Nicky were very welcoming and full of information when it came to local knowledge that helped us refine our plans for our two night stay. Their suggestions of where to eat (dinner and breakfast) were spot on.
The room and view was great, plenty of room for parking and the continental breakfast hamper was abundant.
Thank you both for a memorable stay.
- Dawn (10/5): - Lovely host Ian, very knowledgeable about local amenities. Everything we needed in the room, very clean and comfortable and a fabulous view. The weather - but not a lot you can do about that in January!
- Ian (9/5): -
- Janine (8/5): -
- Mange (10/5): A perfect, cozy, and peaceful getaway with stunning views, a wonderfully comfortable stay, and an exceptional host. - The stay was absolutely perfect! We loved the view from the room, and the space itself was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully set up. The bed was incredibly comfortable and gave us one of the best nights of sleep. We booked for three people, and the arrangement was ideal with one double bed and one single bed.
The highlight of our stay was Ivy—an amazing host who went above and beyond. He recommended great nearby dinner options and provided a breakfast basket that was exceptionally fresh and delicious, delivered right to our room.
I would highly recommend this stay and give it a perfect 10/10. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the noise of city life, this is the place to be!
- Craig (10/5): Wonderful house, beautiful location, with friendly, helpful owners: Ian and Nicky. - Beautiful house in a stunning location with lovey owners and extras like a breakfast hamper. Thank you! Nothing.
- Helen (9/5): Beautiful location - Lovely room with amazing views
Very large comfortable bed
Hosts very welcoming
Nice breakfast basket Location wasn’t ideal for us as we usually book somewhere closer to the centre of kingsand/Cawsand. I’m sure in the bright, light summer evenings the walk down the pretty lanes isn’t an issue so if you don’t mind that then the location is idyllic
- kerry (10/5): Beautiful location with friendly hosts, within an easy walk to Cawsands - Ian and Nicky were very friendly and the farmhouse was warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we had lovely views out over the beautiful surrounding countryside. We were walking (no car) and the property was easy to find, just a short distance from the coastal path along a quiet road. We walked to Cawsands for dinner and this was an easy 20 minute stroll across the neighbouring fields. We loved the location as it felt so rural, but Cawsands was very easy to access. We would definitely stay again.

- sarah (10/5): - Amazing location with absolutely stunning views..
Very friendly host,
- Joanne (10/5): - We stayed for a wedding at nearby Mount Edgcumbe House. Kindly we were allowed to book in a little early so that we could change into our wedding clothes and catch our taxi. Really appreciated.
- Carol A Brooks (7/5): - Room was comfortable and bed was good I did not feel we could sit comfortably eating breakfast in the room.
- Damian (10/5): Calm and cosy, charming stay in the forgotten Corner - The view from the Room towards Ocean was great and Ian was superfriendly to take us with his Car to Kingsand and giving us Hints for some Pubs Nothing

- Darina (9/5): - The accommodation was beautiful and the surroundings were unique, completely immersed in nature. Nicky and Ian prepared a breakfast basket for us, which was far beyond our expectations and incredibly thoughtful. The room was spacious — just right for three people — and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom.

The room was lovely and big with great views, but the extra touch was the lovely hamper of fruit, drinks and breakfast cereals. It had all the facilities we needed. We met Ian, our host, who was very helpful indeed. They have a beautiful home, and we really enjoyed our stay. n/a

- Adam (10/5): Great location that was close to everything but out the way enough from main roads. The views were amazing too! We were - Quiet location not far from several beaches and places to eat
- Bethany (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful - A lovely, clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom with a great sea view. Easy to find and park.
Owner let us check in early ahead of our wedding down the road, so we knew where we’d be staying.
Really friendly and offered us a lift also! Really appreciated. It’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer for leisure!
- Thomas (10/5): Lovely hosts, Beautiful & Great place to stay. - Perfect stay for a few nights. Nicky was very kind, let us checkin late and even helped us track down a lost phone.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Enjoyable and comfortable - The room was comfortable, there was ample parking, the people were friendly and we liked the breakfast hamper N/A
- Rose (9/5): Quiet retreat close to the coast, very welcoming. - Large, clean airy room. Sea view on a clear day. Several steps in to the property. Large parking area. Excellent basket of goodies on arrival. Television pixelated a lot and mattress was quite soft, though this of course is personal taste.
- Daniel (9/5): Beautiful place close to the coast - Great location and very welcoming host
- Alannah (9/5): Beautiful morning view - The decor of the room.
The host was so lovely and generous. The bed was a little firm for me, but it would be perfect for someone else!
- Warwick (8/5): Nice but not great - The room was lovely and clean, only a couple things let it down, the bathroom drains were smelly so had to keep door closed, the lighting when walking to you car at night was non existent when you left the door and came on as you rounded the corner after having to go to a couple of stairs and lastly the shower drainage system was noisy and you could hear your neighbours having a shower. Everything else was fine. Covered it
- Taojia (10/5): Amazing! - There are drinks and snacks and food prepared in the room, very clean and comfortable big room, amazing view, super nice staffs! N/a
- Judith (8/5): Very comfortable stay. - Very comfortable room with views of Rame peninsula down to the sea. Ideal location for coast path walking and six minute drive into Kingsand for excellent meal at Halfway Inn. We didn’t meet the owners but everything provided in the room including fruit, croissants etc for breakfast.
- Chris (2/5): Came for a couple of days well out of season for a wedding. We’d have loved to have stayed longer and taken in some of t - What’s NOT to like? It’s a great sized room, in a lovely building in just the most stunning of locations. Nothing at all. It was terrific.
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hector (10/5): The Wiggle House is the best!!! - Nicky and Ian don't run a lodging, they maintain a home away from home. The room was perfect and very clean. The location is perfect on top of hill with a great view, giving easy access to all the little vilas all around.

- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (9/5): Great location and very helpful hosts. - Great location, very helpful/friendly hosts.
- Kathryn (8/5): Very pleasant, we would recommend. - Room was decorated nicely and very clean. We didn't get to meet the hosts but instructions for accessible key was simple. Wifi was good. Woke up to a nice morning with the sea visible from one of the windows. Arrived in the dark and route to front door could have been signposted or made a bit clearer from the parking area. TV signal was too bad to be able to watch anything. A proper breakfast would have made this stay perfect (it is clear in booking that breakfast is not provided so we knew in advance). Personally the prepacked pastries and fruit left in the room were not for us, however the apple juice and water was good. List of nearby cafes for breakfast was helpful and we had a nice cooked breakfast at the Canteen at Makers less than 5 minutes away.

- Justine (10/5): Beautiful view from the room. Stunning bit of coastline. Kind and friendly hosts. - The room was beautiful looking over the fields and the sea. There was a lovely big bed and plenty of space. Small things like a heated towel rail were an added bonus. Ian and Nicky were warm and helpful- thank you both. A trivia thing- the fruit wasn't ripe in basket. Maybe just leave less but ripe.
- Stevens (8/5): A nice quite location where one can get a good nights sleep. - Basic continental Breakfast with lovely local apple juice. The bed was comfortable with nice fresh bedding. We did not like the narrow single track roads going to the property but there is little one can do about that.
As we stayed two nights we were surprised the bed was not made up for the second night.
