- Gerald (9/5): An exceptional experience. - The breakfast was exactly as described. Good food, well presented. The staff were exceptionally helpful and tried to find alternative accomodation after everyone agreed the foul smell from the seaweed, an unusual phenomenon there, proved overwhelming. In the end we decided to stay at the Kalimera. The rooms are extremely well appointed and designed. I can only re-iterate, the staff are exceptional and very helpful, the accomodation superb - clean, well designed rooms. I'd easily stay there again. The only issue was the unusual smell of the seaweed - all the hotels suffered the same problem.

Le personnel est très attentionné. La plage est propre. Lors de notre passage, il n'y avait pas trop de sargasse et le personnel les enlevait régulièrement. Pas de quoi gêner pour la baignade en mer. Un peu loin de Plancencia pour ceux qui voudrait y aller (20 minutes en taxi). Mais pas gênant car il y a pas mal de restaurant à proximité à pied.

If you have a golf cart, you can get anywhere in 10-15 min Bar hours 11-7 Also restaurant shuts down at 4. So you have to make sure you have what you need before you close

And the food was a nice variety and very good. It was disappointing that we couldn’t swim directly from the resort due to the large amounts of seaweed. This was not their fault. This was all along the coastline.

The beach ares has hammocks and chairs. z the bartender makes alcohol free and alcoholic drinks very well. the first day out room was closed to the pool and people in the pool were very loud but then they were gone so it was move. They need more chairs by the pool

- Sherry (10/5): Great hotel, delicious food, amazing staff, beautiful location = Paradise! - This is a little bit of paradise. You can tell there was a lot of thought that went into this charming hotel. It's small but doesn't feel small. We were in the king room on the beach and the views were magnificent. When we were not out and about, or on the beach, we were on our porch, reading, sipping drinks or eating breakfast. The staff was amazing. Elvis, the bartender, learned our names on day one and was so attentive and friendly. He would deliver drinks to our porch. The cooking staff also delivered our breakfasts to our porch and the breakfasts were delicious. The location was great and we could walk to about 5 different restaurants. The people at the front desk arranged our transportation and our excursions. We are already planning our return trip. The lighting in our room and bath could use improvement. However, we were hardly in there, so it didn't matter much. The only negative thing was the sargassum that came in. It was there most of the trip and didn't allow us to fully enjoy the water. We realize this is not the hotel's fault but it is a concern.

- Sarah (10/5): Séjour incroyable à l’hôtel Kalimera - Nous avons séjourné 7 nuits dans cet établissement à la fin du mois de février 2026, et l’expérience a largement dépassé nos attentes. Nous avons eu l’occasion de profiter de presque toutes les activités et services proposés, et le constat est sans appel : la qualité des prestations est d’un niveau remarquable. Tout est pensé avec soin, du premier contact avant l’arrivée jusqu’au moindre détail durant le séjour. Les équipes du Kalimera Beach Hotel accomplissent un travail exceptionnel. Bien sûr, le professionnalisme et les compétences techniques sont au rendez-vous, mais ce qui fait réellement la différence, c’est l’engagement sincère et l’attention des équipes envers la clientèle. On se sent accueilli, écouté et considéré, tout en conservant une vraie intimité. Il est également évident que les gérants valorisent la population locale et les richesses de la région, en mettant en avant les produits et les savoir-faire locaux, avec un profond respect pour l’environnement qui les entoure. Cette démarche donne encore plus de sens au séjour. Un véritable petit bijou de l’hôtellerie bélizienne, qui mérite amplement le détour. - Judith (10/5): An exquisite, family-run small hotel with perfect access to one of the best beaches in Belize - Breakfasts were extraordinary, unlike your typical hotel breakfasts. Local fruits and juices, Belizean fry jack, Belizean omelets - all prepared to order and served in a gorgeous poolside setting. Attentive staff. We appreciated the availability of bikes and simple watercraft, the beachside bar was an asset, the hammocks and comfortable cushioned loungers made relaxing near the pool and under the palapas very comfortable. The attention to detail, from the elegant and abundant coat hangers to the abundance of foot-rinsing stations between beach and pool, to the conch shell outside shower, was marvelous. The proximity of two excellent beach restaurants, accessible by a barefoot stroll through the sand, was a treat. Nothing - we want to return!

Every little detail was thoroughly thought out , you truly feel all the love that the two owners poured into this property. We’ve stayed at a lot of resorts in the carribean and this experience was truly one of our best experiences. From the staff , who truly went above and beyond , to the property , to the amenities just everything. Truly a wonderful stay. Thank you to each and every one of you at Kalimera , an absolute unforgettable experience. My only complaint would be the beach chairs! Could use maybe one or two more loungers! - Thomas (10/5): Das schönste Hotel, das beste Hotelzimmer was ich je in der Karibik hatte. - Die komplette Hotelanlage ist so etwas von schön und Sinnvoll konstruiert, so dass man behaupten kann, man ist im Paradies angekommen. Da gibt es nichts, aber auch gar nichts zu bemängeln. Der nächste Urlaub ist dort schon wieder gebucht.

Breakfast was wonderful, with great quality and choices and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely made us feel cared for throughout our stay. One of the highlights was enjoying massages right on the beach-pure relaxation and such a memorable experience. We loved every moment and would happily return, hopefully for longer next time!! I do wish they had a free airport shuttle. It is a $20 taxi, but for the price, would be appreciated!

A slightly bigger bed perhaps, and daily room keeping would have been a treat, but we still absolutely loved Kalimera.

- Alfaro (8/5): Relaxing paradise - This is a beautiful hotel with just steps away from the beach. It is so nicely decorated and gives it a rustic feel, especially in the bathroom. Makes you feel like you are bathing in a mountain/waterfall. The beds are so comfortable and the facilities are so clean. The breakfast offerings were delicious and the staff were friendly and always ready to assist with any requests you had. The drinks in the bar were also very delicious albeit pricey. I would definitely recommend others to visit if you want a nice, relaxing vacation! My only suggestion to the hotel is to offer a small couch or seating area in the room because if you want to sit down in your room you only had the bed to do so. I also would have appreciated a small refrigerator inside the room to use for keeping our water and drinks cool and any food that was purchased outside. Also a small microwave would be helpful too

- Raymond (9/5): Very peaceful hotel right on the beach. - This is a lovely small hotel of about nine rooms set around a pool. Some have good views of the ocean. The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage space and a safe. The bathroom was also very clean with a good strong shower. Breakfast is cooked to order and was very good. We also had a couple of lunches which were equally good. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay here again but not in a room with an interconnecting door. The ground floor room had an interconnecting door with the room nextdoor. Despite the message saying it was sound proofed you could clearly hear every word and every action in the next room which was rather annoying.

V hotelu se myslelo na nejmenší detaily, které oceníte. Např klimatizace je nad hlavou, není tedy vůbec rušivá, pokoj je příjemně ochlazený tak, že i já, co s klimatizací onemocním, jsem tady měla naprostý komfort a mohla jsem tak i krásně spát. Regulovat si vše můžete podle svého. Bazén je taky perfektní a Maya beach úžasná pláž. Hotel zařídí perfektně i všechny výlety. Nic takového není.

Every detail you would want on a vacation is perfectly attended to. Their breakfast is out of control, insanely delicious, beautifully plated and you could taste the freshness of ingredients. Drinks brought out to us on the beach. Fresh coconuts chopped for us so we could drink the juice. The pool was wonderful, the beach was meticulously raked every day. There is an outdoor shower near the pool where the water comes out of a conch shell. I'm never staying anywhere else. everything was perfect. There is literally nothing bad to say about The Kalimera. The food was fantastic, service impeccable, room comfortable and well-appointed, pool pristine, etc, etc. The hotel, itself, is ALL that AND a bag of chips, as they say. :) It's a little far from town, so you have to make plans for transportation. BUT, that's also a reason to book here. It's NOT part of the hustle and bustle. If you want something that feels more secluded that way, this is the place.

- Caroline (10/5): Best hotel we stayed in Belize! - Absolutely the best boutique hotel we stayed at in Belize! Everything at Kalimera Beach is so thoughtfully designed — from the moment we arrived, we felt more like family than guests. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their attention to detail makes the stay unforgettable. You get ice for your drinks or to make a refreshing iced coffee (which became our daily ritual). There’s a water tap in front of each room to rinse the sand off your feet before going inside — a small but brilliant touch. The rooms and common areas were spotless, and you can tell a lot of love and care goes into everything here. There are hammocks, a beach gym, paddleboards, kayaks, and games — it’s literally impossible to get bored. The absolute highlight? Sipping an iced coffee while relaxing in a hammock right by the beach, watching the waves roll in. Sometimes you even get a fresh coconut! They also organized an incredible tour for us to Laughing Bird Caye — it was breathtaking, and we even saw a shark! We truly loved every second of our stay. Kalimera Beach is a place you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like part of the family. Can’t recommend it enough! Nothing, everything was just perfect!! We had to switch rooms during our stay but they tried to make it as comfortable as possible for us.

- Jamila (10/5): Service that makes you feel special✨ - Kalimera is such a beautiful property with so much attention to detail. It is only a small hotel but this only added to its charm - it’s peaceful, intimate, and so relaxing. But the real standout here is the staff! The awesome maintenance staff supported us when my boyfriend was adamant to kayak out to the deserted caye a mile off the hotel’s shore. They gave us life jackets, snorkels, and water bottles for the expedition. And of course the incredible ladies in the kitchen, Gloria and Aracely. Not only did they make an AMAZING breakfast, they showed us how to harvest the right coconut for fresh coconut water, taught us how to make fryjacks, gave me birthday pancakes (not requested!), and even made sure we had a burrito for the drive back to the airport on our last day. Unfortunately the beach bar was closed during our stay. But this wasn’t a huge biggie because luckily the ladies in the kitchen were still making drinks upon request!

They went above and beyond helping us coordinate excursions and even made all the arrangements for us, some before we even left the states! And when our boat trip to the Blue Hole was canceled because of weather, they found a way to get us there by plane. I never would have been able to do it on my own. And I can’t forget about the breakfast and lunches, absolutely delicious, my husband was a HUGE fan of the warm homemade salsa. Our deepest gratitude to everyone there for making our family vacation our best yet!!

The bar on the beach with Elvis as the bartender couldn’t have been any better. Honestly this place is the go to spot in Maya beach for comfort, relaxation, home feeling and just wish I could think of soo many other words to describe how this place made me feel. I can’t wait to go back. The access to the beach was stellar. Must stay if your in Belize. Little pricey to be honest but that was the only drawback and even then with all the other things involved maybe the price is where it should be.

It is not a large resort with many buildings but rather a smaller boutique hotel. My favorite energy. The grounds and the rooms are immaculate. I had a view of the sea and enjoyed opening the door in the morning and taking in the sounds and beauty. Breakfast was healthy and so very delicious. Everyone, I mean everyone, who is part of the property ownership and staff were wonderful. I would recommend staying here! One suggestion, which I shared while staying there, was to please include a small refrigerator in the room in the future.

They helped us organize tours and even arranged a driver for our airport transfer, which made everything super smooth. The food was incredible—breakfast, lunch, and the afternoon snacks were all delicious and clearly made with care. The hotel has been recently renovated and it shows: everything felt fresh, clean, and beautifully designed. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. A special highlight for our family was seeing our daughter become fast friends with Atlas, the owners’ child—it really made the experience even more memorable. On our last day, Kristy even surprised her with a little gift basket, which was such a sweet touch. 🥲🥹 Thank you for making our stay so special—we’re already thinking about our next visit! Loved everything. I just wished they even offered dinner because the food was so good 🥰

This boutique hotel was everything I was looking for; peaceful, beachfront, modern infused with tasteful local elements. The staff were super friendly and they all went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. I appreciated Jessica’s prompt helpful communication before my arrival, and lovely Ella’s excellent hospitality. As a solo female traveler I completely felt safe and relaxed. Every night I went to sleep with the sound of the waves and every morning woke up to birds singing and the super delicious breakfast made by Gloria and the other lovely ladies in the charming kitchen. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Christine and Viktor and their adorable son. Overall, excellent experience! Nothing!

They can arrange tours and provide advise to enhance your time in the area. The breakfasts were delicious. Elvis who managed the bar made excellent cocktails. The rooms are well designed for comfort and nicely situated for beautiful views. The surrounding resorts offered nice restaurants. This is the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years. We will definitely return to Kalimera.

- Nicolas (10/5): Fantastic little hotel owned and run by a young family - Highly Recommend - We had a fantastic time at Kalimera Beach Hotel. It is owned and run by a young family who have put a lot of love, effort and attention to detail into doing a total renovation of the hotel when they took it over just a few months ago, and the result is amazing. The hotel has a personal feel to it. The owners are very pleasant and hang out to chat with guests during breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they helped us organize activities and recommended local Belize tour companies. The rooms are steps away from the sea, you can hear the sounds of the waves while you sleep at night. If you can, try to book the King Suite with Seaview (Unit 1), it is closest to the water and has an amazing patio and views of the sea. We would definitely stay there again. Good luck to the owners - they have a beautiful family and are doing an amazing job making their guests happy.
- Alex (10/5): As close to perfection as it gets - beautiful small hotel designed with incredible intention. - I’m not sure where to start. This is as close to perfection as you can get. Having traveled all over the world and experienced so many different types of lodging, this a little slice of magic. The owners are so kind and it’s clear they put so much love and thought into every aspect and design element of this small hotel. The food is delicious and the staff kind the pool is brilliant and the beach access and all of the amenities like lounge chairs and coffee and juice and water and an ice bucket to keep ice frozen is just truly amazing. The rooms are immaculate, beautiful stone shower with hot water and a little wooden box with things you might have forgotten. WiFi was lightening fast. Nothing!

The team is totally content and you, as a guest, can definitely feel this. The place is beautiful calm and relaxing. Perfect hide out if you like to reset from busy life. Rooms are beautifully decorated, Did i alredy mention the great fluffy white towels? The comfy bed and the natural sound of the waves you wake up to? After a rainfall shower you go to breakfast. Everything is freshly prepared and best quality, you will love the breakfast. The beach site is prepared for you with hammocks comfy lounges or just fo for a nice walk along the soothing, warm waters. Kajaks or paddle boards are avable for you. Any tours, transportation, massages, pedicures, are organized for you. We stayed for one full week and occupied the "Honeymoon suite". Just an amazing experience, we will be back soon. - Patti (10/5): Wonderful boutique hotel on the beach! - Friendly staff, beautiful facilities, upgraded us for free to the beachside cabana. Really enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful, family-owned boutique hotel. The location was a bit far from town and we didn't have a car so that limited our dining options unless we wanted to take a very expensive cab ride to town. The breakfast, however, was good and plentiful and there were a few restaurants within easy walking distance. There really isn't a "sidewalk" to walk far along the road safely.

- Breana (10/5): - This hotel is a must when in Belize! Starting from check in and throughout the entire stay the service was amazing. Staff was incredibly hospitable…every single person! The natural/relaxing atmosphere is what I was looking for and exactly what I got. There aren’t too many units if you prefer more privacy, as I do. It was so peaceful to read from their lounge chairs and hammocks or even just outside on our patio while listening to the waves. The rooms are very clean as well as comfortable with a view of the ocean. Water, ice along with glasses were provided in our room with a welcome sweet treat :). Water was available at all times at their drink station which was a plus. Breakfast is available daily and everything is worth trying. There is a bar next to the pool/beach where drinks and snacks are available for purchase most days. Their bartender Elvis makes the most delicious drinks! There are restaurants within walking distance (can access from the beach) which I recommend. The entire resort was very well thought-out and it most definitely shows. I will certainly be coming back.

Everything was just perfect, the staff, the decor, the comfort and the food. The breakfast included a Belizean specialty the fry Jack. A delicious puff of doughnut like bread served with or without sugar and cinnamon. The friendly bartender Elvis makes the most spectacular cocktails at the beach bar. The owners were on site overseeing operations and their attention to detail makes everything so special. This really is a very special place. - Kristy (10/5): This is a Belizean family-run place, and you can feel the love and attention in every detail. It’s got all the touches o - loved my stay at Kalimera! The beachfront location is stunning, and waking up to those ocean views from my room was super nice. The room itself was beautiful and clean. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious (don’t miss the Belizean breakfast!). I also loved that they have paddleboards and kayaks available—it made it easy to get out on the water and explore at sunrise when the water is so flat it looks like a mirror They don’t serve lunch or dinner, which would’ve been nice, but they had great recommendations for restaurants within walking distance that were all worth a try. The bar also has some really tasty snacks to keep you going, so it didn’t end up being much of an issue.
- Robert (10/5): - This is a beautiful place to stay. That staff is very friendly and hospitable. We were lucky in that we were this first people to stay there as it just opened. The family that opened this little resort was so kind and put so much thought into the design. You can feel that there was so much thought and love put in every detail from the special design all the way down to the key change for the rooms. The views the rooms are incredible. You are just a few steps from the beach. We enjoyed the kayaks and the breakfast they served us was amazing. It’s a boutique family run place that is 5 star quality.
