Guest Reviews
- Patricia (8/5): We had a very good 2 night stay at this property & the hosts were very kind & hospitable. - The property was very clean & bonus that there were 2 en-suites - the showers were very good.
Beds were also very comfortable.
- Sean (8/5): -
- Liz (8/5): Suited us for a short trip to London - Spacious and comfortable Some of the plug sockets need a little attention
- Daniel (1/5): Would definitely avoid - Absolutely nothing. The washing machine was broken, there were exposed wires coming from the wall, loose plug sockets which even when screwed in a child could still get into, the oven was absolutely disgusting and nothing to cook on, there was black mould growing inside the property. No suitable lighting to get down to the guest house through the side alley, concertina doors which my son got his fingers trapped in. Certainly not suitable for a family with a young child. Had to find somewhere else to stay after one night and the owner has refused to respond to booking.com so we have lost £500. Great host
- Obike (6/5): Over all, not a bad place to stay. They are very responsive (which was v/good). However it’s kind of far off from mo - It’s clean and decent. If you are planning to stay here, have it in mind that they do not do breakfast (as expected with most air b ‘n’ bs anyways. Washing machine wasn’t working. Had to go to owner’s house each time I needed to laundry my kids clothes. It was kind of awkward walking in and getting cold treatment / stares from some of the occupants of the house, but I didn’t have a choice.
Host and her son (Eliud) were very respectful and welcoming and worked hard to make our stay pleasant.
The machine not working left a bad taste on my buds.

- Karen (8/5): - Able to check in early
- Dean (7/5): Very welcoming owner. Very clean everything you need is there good location will stay again - Very clean. Had little touches like milk biscuits water. Clean towels bedding etc. Can't say that I didn't like anything. Few things that need doing. Light switches are a bit confusing maybe put labels on for what they are for. And blank covers for sockets that have been removed. Some kind of boxing for boiler pipes not pretty sight.
- Toivanen (9/5): - We loved our stay. The hosts were very kind and the small house perfect. Thank you!
- Cezar (10/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): My stay at this cottage was perfect! - I loved that it was a clean comfy cottage. Meeting the staff on arrival, and experiencing first hand how warm and inviting they were, I felt instant satisfaction. There was absolutely nothing we didn’t like.

- Nilakshi (9/5): Near perfect stay! 😁 - Everything about this stay was almost perfect! Very comforting and warm hosts, good location, spacious rooms. Would come back again for sure! N/A.
- Sidikat (9/5): Nice - NA Side walk way dark in the night, need more lighting
- Ádám (8/5): If the shortcomings are addressed, the small house could be good for 2 or 2 w 1 child. - The hostess was very kind and helpful. The small house has two separate rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a dining area. It’s an excellent choice for two adults, as one room has a comfortable bed, while the other has a corner sofa where you can sit and watch TV.
If you don't want to travel by car, the bus stop is just a few steps away. A very nice little shop is also within a 5-minute walk. It’s not very comfortable for two adults and two older children, as the corner sofa is quite uncomfortable to sleep on. The kitchen is poorly equipped: one sharp knife, one butter knife, two teaspoons, a small pot, and one frying pan. There are a few forks and spoons. There are no cooking utensils at all (such as a wooden spoon, soup-ladle, etc.).
Only three people can sit at the table, and there are only three chairs. There is storage space (a wardrobe and shelves) only in one of the rooms – in the other room, there’s nowhere to put anything, and the bathroom doesn’t have any shelves either. There is no air conditioning.
The photos were taken before our departure.
- Phyllis (9/5): Accommodation and location suited our needs. We would definitely stay in this location again. - Not applicable as we brought and prepared our own breakfast. We don't think there was anything we didn't like. Very impressed with the accommodation.
- Rachel (9/5): A lovely, cosy accommodation. - It was lovely and warm! The underfloor heating was a treat! The beds were comfortable, and the pillows amazing! There were two bathrooms, which were great for a family of four staying.
Parking outside of the main house was always available to us and was off road.
The location was good. Only a 10/15 minute walk to Eltham High Street, which had a great range of shops, eating establishments, and a Sainsbury's supermarket.
The communication from the host was excellent and friendly, thank you. We couldn't fault much, we had a cosy stay.
There weren't enough towels and toilet paper when we arrived, but we did arrive earlier than expected, and the host provided them straight away.
I would like to suggest for there to be some washing up liquid and a fresh sponge in the kitchen for future guests. And perhaps a liquid tab for the washing machine in case of emergencies.
On the whole, we had a great stay and would stay there again.
- Gail (10/5): A hidden gem, tucked away from the main road. Two comfy en suite rooms and a kitchen. - Loved this little cottage, tucked away behind the owner’s home. Two en suite rooms and a kitchen, nicely furnished and comfy beds. The host was very welcoming and I would definitely stay again if in the area. Nothing, it was great.
- Denis (10/5): We will be back - It was like a home from home and the bed was really comfortable. Nothing
- Temitope (8/5): Very good -
- Mia (10/5): Very happy with the property we stayed in. - The property was very clean very warm and very cozy. It had everything you needed and we also felt safe. The the owners were really nice and good at communicating if something was needed would definitely stay there again if I was visiting London again. Nothing.
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect stay-over for London O2 - The location was ideal for a concert at London O2, which was only a 10 minute drive away.
Lovely friendly welcome,
All amenities & very clean with underfloor heating! Was so cosy!
Great sleeps all round! Very comfortable beds.
All you need for a night's stay or longer.
Would definitely recommend, and stay again if in the vercinity.
Thankyou Jennifer for a great stay.
- Ayesha (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Great 4 night stay for work. Everything you need and very clean. Comfy bed. Parking outside the house and free which is - Very clean and modern. Friendly owners
Good nights sleep and quiet. Shower holder was broken so couldn’t lift it high enough although it was fine in the second shower room but didn’t want to use both rooms.
No plug in the kitchen sink so had to wash pots under running water and then leave to dry as no tea towel.
- Ruth (9/5): Superb -
- Sompob (10/5): Exceptional - Clean apartment, free parking, quiet surrounding
- Jack (10/5): spot on - had everything we needed and was perfect for our trip. would definitely stay again
- Heritage (10/5): It was awesome - The comfortable rooms Nothing
- Frances (10/5): Very comfy little apartment near O2 arena - Very clean and well decorated. Lovely shower and comfy bed.
Friendly host The road is a bit noisy and needs washing up liquid.
Brilliant otherwise
- Katarzyna (9/5): Great accommodation for a short stay in London - Great garden flat with a side entrance. Clean, comfortable and close to bus links for Eltham and New Eltham station (Eltham is walking distance). The flat is very warm and the host really lovely. There’s a hairdryer, iron etc. Everything you might need on a short stay in London! Toilet seat was broken in one of the bathrooms but easily rectified.
- Lovana (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were great at communicating and so welcoming. I suffer from anxiety and had forgotten to pack my chamomile tea so the host even went out to buy me some!
The Guest House is sooooo lovely - just like the pictures and very clean.
Parking is ok as you can park for free on a side road that's less than a 2 minute walk away.
Excellent value for money... especially for 4 people going out to the 02 as it's only a 10 -15 minute drive.
We would all stay here again and have nothing but good things to say. The only thing that may be handy is more then 1 key for a party of 4 people.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vitalii (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and good apartment for family
- Jtbooker (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and helpful owners. Within walking distance to train station into Central London.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Manasa (10/5): Super clean and just right for a family break in Greenwich! - The place was spotlessly clean. The kids and us loved the underfloor heating. The sofa bed was made and the heating was on when we arrived at 6pm which we really appreciated.
The equipment in the kitchen wasn't excessive but just enough for a short stay. Beds were super comfortable. Having a bathroom in each room was also handy. The user of skylights in the bathrooms and the kitchen were a lovely touch and it meant that even at night, there was ambient light that didn't disturb anyone sleeping.
Thanks David and family for having us ! Parking is alongside a very busy road and you have to get on the pavement to do so which can be tricky. We were lucky as we found some on a side street that was free on Sunday.
Towels were a bit rough and could do with a bit of fabric softener.
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet and good place to rest. Nothing
- Susan (9/5): Real gem of a place to stay - Friendly host, amazing clean space, very warm and comfortable Nothing!
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Everything in general... from the hosts to the under floor heating.. we couldn't fault the please it was well worth the money and we would definitely stay again..I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a home away from home or just need a break for a weekend...the hosts are a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for you and once the keys are handed you don't hear or see anyone it really is the break away destination and a much needed rest was what we got no noise around..just lovely and peaceful.. Having to leave..
- Ena (10/5): Exceptional - It was just right for us as a family. The free parking was a bonus. At the right spot and the host were very friendly. My teenager son likes it so much as he gets his own bathroom to himself. It's a nice place to stay at and take a train to London. Overall it was lovely stay. We will come back in the near future.
- Megan (9/5): Superb - good facilities, clean & cozy N/A
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely brilliant would highly recommend the owners are lovely beautiful little place easy to get to via public transport too would always look to stay here in the future thankyou so much Nothing was wrong very happy
- Maria (10/5): Lovely guest house - Very nice place to stay in south London with my family, cosy, comfortable and clean. Highly recommended! Owners very polity and friendly.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Overall very good
- Mudenda (10/5): Fantastic, great place, staff very helpful and answered all questions, highly recommend. - Fantastic facilities, truly exceeded my expectations in cleanthliness and general appearance. The owner was nice and respectful, will defo use this again. Nothing tbh, was great. Sad it was a really hot day so nothing much they could have done.
- Corina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Clean and comfortable stay - Stayed here for 1 night after a wedding so perfect location for us. Immaculately clean. The owners left milk and bottled water which was a nice touch. Can't complain about anything.
- Esme (8/5): Very good - Thought it was a lovely place and a lovely location. We will defiantly recommend or stay again when visiting friends. The sky lights in the bathrooms let in a lot of light so meant it was light everywhere from early in the morning.
- Leopold (10/5): 12 out of 10 points, absolutely perfect. - 12 out of 10 points, absolutely perfect. Fully functional kitchen, two bedrooms with a small bathroom each, everything was perfectly clean and orderly. The hosts were also very kind and accomodating, offering to help everywhere - they more than deserved the tip we left :)
- Yuan (9/5): Superb - The host and hostess were very kind and friendly. 2 bathrooms facilities were both very clean and the shower was powerful. Sparkling water, still water and milk was provided in the fridge for free. There were lots of buses to Lewisham, Blackheath and Greenwich. The house was a little bit far from rail station (15-20 mins walk to Kidbrooke or Eltham station) and I thought buses much more preferred.
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was perfect, with very kind and friendly hospitable hosts, comfortable beds clean showers toilets, we were surprisingly happy that they left in the frig milk for the coffee and even some tea, biscuits and still water. They made us feel at home especially since they put goal post to play some football.
Highly recommend them to everyone you will not going to be disappointed!:) The only thing we didn't like was being far away from the significant Underground stations for example Lewisham, Woolwich or North Greenwich.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect for our trip to the London stadium and Greenwich. It's a home away from home feeling about it . Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a few nights away in London. There wasn't really anything I disliked to be honest
- Maarten (9/5): London weekend 8 and 9 july - I liked a lot the house which is very confortable. The hosts were very kind
- Ann-marie (10/5): A very warm welcome - Greeted with a big smile and made to feel very welcome indeed. Great accommodation in the ideal location for visiting our family in the area. Very clean and cosy. Great that it has 2 shower rooms. Lovely that the owners left us basics like tea and coffee, including milk and pastries. Will definitely book again. We liked everything
- Khrystyna (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay here was great. The hostess was very friendly. Very clean rooms, hospitable hosts, easy access to the central part of the city, shops and stops within walking distance. We will definitely come back here on our next trip. I highly recommend.
- John (9/5): brilliant - the best thing about this guesthouse was the showers
the beds really comfy
and the staff really nice and friendly will stay here again it was fine with me but the wife said about a hair dryer ?
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chelsea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amelia (7/5): Good - The accommodation was spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay The front garden and entrance to the accommodation could be tidied up to give a better first impression
- Mehul (7/5): Overall a great decor of both rooms with fantastic owners. only let down was the sofabed and hot roo - The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sofa-bed was not comfortable and we didn't know how to cool down the rooms. We ended up sleeping in 26 degree hot room.
