Guest Reviews
- Rosalind (7/5): - It was a nice house but would look better with the old furniture in rather than new. Kitchen amazing and bathroom too, but smaller than thought so for 4 adults sofas inadequate. Other than that nice place.
- Christine (10/5): Excellent stay in this beautiful cottage in Richmond. - Had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was beautiful. Kitchen had everything you need. Lovely sitting area in garden with the castle in the background. Sitting room cosy and had sky TV channels. Shower amazing. Bedrooms lovely. The family photos gave it a homely feel. The location was excellent, just around the corner from the Market Place where the buses stop, handy for day trips. Had loads of info on walks etc in cottage. The Easby loop and the town trail are lovely. Lesley also provided loads of info before trip and will help you with anything. The Station is well worth a visit. Fish and chip Friday is beautiful and there is a cinema. We liked the Talbot and Castle tavern for a drink and we ate at the Black Lion on Finkle Street 2 for 22. Edwinas cakes was lovely for coffee and cake. There are tons of bars and cafes though, spoilt for choice. All in all we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend 👌 Not a thing
- Marie (9/5): Had a great stay, lovely being so close to everything. Would stay again - Location, cleanliness, kitchen facilities. Property is well looked after and all furniture and facilities in great condition, Sofas and TV a little small
- Jill Burder (10/5): Would thoroughly recommend. - Lovely cosy cottage - couldn’t have been more central for the town centre with everything Richmond has to offer on the doorstep though in a very quiet location.

- Sally (9/5): Lovely Cottage in Great Location - Gorgeous cottage in a really good, central location. View of Richmond Castle from the back garden is awesome! Nothing. Theres no parking outside - but it was easy to unload and park nearby.
- Vyacheslav (10/5): - Perfect cosy place in a best location Just parking space not available. Everything else is amazing
- mariann (8/5): Lovely stay in Richmond - Location was amazing. Lovely cottage, nice and clean. The garden looked nice but we didnt use as it was winter. Lesley provided lots of useful info re parking. Useful we could parked outside to pack and unpack. The cottage was cold when we got there, so the first night was a bit uncomfortable, but heating was easy to use.
- Danny (10/5): up for a cycling event on the moors, Tower street cottage was a perfect location after two days if tough cycling on the - perfect location, spotlessly clean and very cosy
- Lois (9/5): Great Location Clean Responsive Hostess - It was clean and in a great location Nothing

Very clean and ease of access.
- Sally (9/5): - Very clean and great location. Had everything we needed as a family. Bonus to be backing on to the castle. Bit noisy on Friday night - a consequence of being so central.
- Richard (10/5): Amazing host, great location, cosy and clean. Would come again. - Lovely location next to Richmond Castle. Easy access to town. Cosy. All facilities including modern dishwasher, oven etc present. Clean. Nothing to dislike
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful cottage, perfect location Late che to k in time, 5,pm a little too kate
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Kate (9/5): Wonderful cottage in a very picturesque setting - Loved the location as you could see Richmond Castle from your back door. Location of the property is superb as it’s so central to the centre. Shops & restaurants are all within a minutes walk. Richmond is a stunning location & this cottage is perfect for exploring. The parking is a little bit awkward as there isn’t designated parking. You have to pay for parking in the centre & then walk to the cottage. We did park right outside to unpack & pack the car for 10 mins.
- Trish (8/5): The perfect, quiet hideaway right in town - Ideal cottage and location. The back has a view of the castle Tower, just a street away from the market square and the river a short distance away. Very convenient, with lots of choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Although you reach the property through narrow streets and there is no parking, there is room to unload outside the property and many car parks/spaces close by.
- Paul (9/5): Brilliant, very informative host instructions for the house were great. - The location was 1 minute from all the restaurants and pubs in Richmond, just off the main square as well which made it nice and quiet. would not hesitate to book the property again or recommend it to friends.
- Tom (10/5): Lovely home, great location - Location was brilliant, house was very nice, garden looking onto castle was great! Lesley very informative and helpful with information sent before check-in

- John (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the property was clean comfortable perfect position Nothing
- Andrew (9/5): Suited myself and two brothers well. We were able to go on nice walks direct from the property. - Location
- Louise (10/5): Comfortable cottage in the centre of Richmond -
- Cath (10/5): Beautiful cottage, everything you could possibly need - The position, the quaintness the size close to all amenities Nothing
- Ronald (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (9/5): Very enjoyable and Richmond is lovely - We were self catering… location was lovely but hard to park as road was closed due to roadworks… only thing we needed was handrail for front steps as it’s very dangerous when wet The Tv… because of bad weather the reception from aerial was poor
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy warm and spotlessly clean. Every thing we needed was there. Also excellent communication with the owner
- Cath (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage with as described facilities. Perfectly situated in Richmond. Instructions from host were clear and easily followed. Would happily recommend to a friend or stay here again myself. No complaints.
- Keith (9/5): Cottage - Everything worked plenty of equipment for cooking etc Was informed no parking in front of cottage yet a car was parked there almost constantly mostly not a problem except loading my car prior to check out as I have slight mobility issues
- Berton (10/5): Very relaxed, you feel right at home - Beautifully decorated, clean, contains everything you need for a pleasent stay. The view from the backyard terrace is exceptionel. Great shower.
- Dave (9/5): Lovely cottage in a lovely town - Sat right beneath Richmond Castle, really close to all amenities but still felt secluded and quiet. Nice outdoor area and a very well kept and clean cottage. Beds were super comfy and all the facilities we needed were there. Shower was amazing. We found the sofas a little cramped as they were so small and also someone had parked a huge range rover directly outside the front door for the whole duration (despite parking restrictions) which made it very awkward to get in and out, especially with luggage.
- Just (9/5): Tower view, amazing view - Lesleys messaging with directions was amazing, satnav would not of took us there so stopped any unnecessary worry .
House smelt beautiful on entry.
lovely , welcoming atmosphere.
Bed and pillows comfy and nice blinds.
Lots of storage space in main bedroom .
Dish washer has plenty of dish washer tablets (although we rarely are there so used sink with detergent provided) and a few condiments in cupboard , always appreciated.
Hand wash and general cleaning items , pegs for line drying , drying up towel etc and oven gloves , bags available for shopping , nice towels and amazing garden view.
Apart from few niggles I would definitely recommend tower view, wonderful and communicative host , close to shops/market, waterfall, museums.
Needed longer to fit everything in Niggles rather than not liking
Small bedroom has creaky bed and not as much storage but effort been made with it not having as much space.
No toiletries ( usually find shower gel and shampoo in these accommodation) and no welcome pack ( milk especially after a long journey) but a couple of tea bags, so had to go out to shop before settling in properly..
Local neighbour parked his car outside the entire weekend and didn't get a parking ticket!!
Sunday is free parking so we were hoping to park outside then to make packing Into the car easier.
Not hosts fault at all, just selfish local.
- Darran (10/5): Wonderful and amazing stay - Lovely set up and cosy Nothing not to like
- Loopylisa36 (9/5): Very good location, clean and comfy - Really loved the excellent location next to the market place.
The cottage was immaculately clean with comfortable beds.
My Grandson loved having the castle turret overlooking the garden!
We would definitely stay again, in fact already messaged Lesley regarding this. Parking. I have a disability badge which we found out entitles you to extended parking in the market place.
From our arrival though a car was parked right outside our cottage so we were unable to even unpack outside it which was a bit inconsiderate but this obviously isn't Lesleys fault.
- Ian (8/5): Lovely property - Location for Richmond was great, right in the heart of town but no noise from the streets nearby. Convenient for food and drinks. Communication with the owner was good with plenty of arrival tips etc.. Had all the facilities you might need. Well presented property. Car parking was ok but had to move it several times if we went out for the day after 10 am or arrived back before 4pm, to ensure we didn't overstay the time limit. We were pre-warned about the wood worktops in the kitchen which meant we had to be extra careful - probably not practical for a rental property.
- Yvonne (9/5): We all had a fabulous time - NA NA
- Sally (10/5): A well furnished cottage including the garden terrace, - Very close to town centre.
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous location, quiet yet central. Beautifully decorated throughout and comfortable beds. Nothing
- Jubayad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (10/5): Delightful place to stay for exploring Richmond and surrounding area. - Clean, well-appointed, beautifully decorated. Location was excellent.
- Dawn (10/5): Absolutely stay here again, absolutely beautiful stay - Absolutely everything, delightful cottage with everything & more you could ever need Nothing
- Gavin (8/5): A very pleasant stay with everything we needed in a great location. - The property was in a great location in a beautiful town, loads of nice restaurants. Richmond castle is well worth a visit as was the river falls.
The property was easy to access and was very clean and tidy with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property spotless clean. Excellent location. All your needs and more
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): The property was very comfortable, well equipped, clean and homely - Very central Nothing
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Vicki (10/5): Absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to stay again. -
- Myra (10/5): Enjoyed our stay in nice cottage and great location - Location, very clean Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Highly recommended - Quiet location in the centre of town. Immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. You need to understand the local parking arrangements. Cobbled street and a few steps up to the property - could be tricky if you have mobility issues.
- Rachael (10/5): Wow! Just wow! - The cottage was STUNNING and a true home from home experience with all the facilities needed to cook, clean and have a lovely chilled evening. The seating outside is lovely for warm evenings/mornings and the neighbours are friendly. The shower is divine and the beds comfortable. When our daughter was unwell, we were well looked after and the hospitality was phenomenal. Just a short walk away from the town centre with all the essentials available. A short walk down the path and there is stunning small waterfalls and a place for children to paddle and a small play park. An absolute must for all ages. We have already booked for next summer and cannot wait to visit again!! Parking can be tricky but following the amazing advice given and it is easy to get your head around it. The green is a 5minute walk and always had parking available throughout our week, the marketplace is a 2 minute walk too. We didn't pay for parking throughout our entire stay.
- Faye (10/5): Perfect cottage for a stay in Richmond - Really lovely little cottage. The house is decorated in a really tasteful way, it was super cozy. The host left us some treats on check in which was a lovely surprise. Great communication too from the owner. It was absolutely spotless too.
It was a great location literally two seconds from the main market square. And a lovely view of Richmond castle from the kitchen window.
- Lynne (8/5): Jack's - Cottage very clean and tastefully decorated. We loved the family photos which gave it a homely feel. Excellent location. Castle practically in the garden! Fabulous guided walking tour run by volunteers at the Tourist Information Centre. I would have liked a reading lamp at my side of the bed but no real hardship. Quite hilly which anyone with mobility issues may find difficult.
