• CHIRANJIB (5/5): Only good for a night stay without any expectation - They keep some eatable snacks in room for guests as complimentary. Breakfast is very basic and more like hostel, fixed menu, not buffet. Not tasty at all. For South Indian Breakfast, they arrange it from nearby restaurant. Continental breakfast is made in roof top restaurant, but it doesn't make you feel good about food. Rooms they have allocated didn't have a single window and it feels like prison without any natural light.

The highlight for us was definitely the spacious and comfortable rooms, which made the stay very relaxing especially while travelling with a toddler and elderly parent. The breakfast spread was excellent and well-maintained, with good quality food and enough variety for vegetarians as well. The overall ambience of the property was calm, clean, and family-friendly. A special appreciation to the staff as well — everyone was courteous, welcoming, and very supportive throughout our stay. Their hospitality genuinely made the experience even more pleasant and comfortable for our family. The location is also very convenient for exploring White Town and the beach areas comfortably. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay in Pondicherry. Would definitely recommend for families looking for comfort and a peaceful experience. One small area for improvement would be the TV clarity in the room, as the display quality was slightly blurry during our stay.

• Clotilda (8/5): Worth the expense, Quality stay. - The stay at Palais De Pondicherry was excellent. The staff were very courteous and helpful. They were available round the clock for any assistance and ensured that we were given utmost importance. I would recommend staying at this location to anyone wishing to visit Pondicherry. The location was very convenient and easily connecting it to Promenade beach, Aurobindo Ashram and other churches all within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast could be a little more innovative. It's the same menu and same items on offer every day. Maybe also include some fruits and veg. Overall the quality of the food was good, but would like to have a little variety of items for breakfast.

The room was large albeit a bit dark as the windows were small. It's an old building and this reflects the lack of hot water at all the sinks and the rather strange layout of the room. The breakfast was the same each day which having stayed for 13 night became tedious

• ROBIN (7/5): Comfortable & enjoyable - This property is located within three kilometers of all the places of interest in Pondicherry. Has sufficient covered car parking for guests as the road in front of the hotel is quite busy. The staff are ever friendly and take it as a matter of pride to accommodate the requests of the guests. The rooms are larger than 4-5 star hotels, airconditioned with running water 24 hours. The room tariff also is quite reasonable. The breakfast choices are good and in sufficient quantity. Snacks, biscuits & chocolates provided in the room added a nice touch. The hotel provides only bed & breakfast. If they could also provide lunch & dinner, it would save the trouble to the guests to go hunting for food. Moreover, aged people would find it difficult to negotiate the traffic and go looking for suitable places to eat.

• Alain (5/5): Rien à voir avec un Palais... - la situation très pratique La suite Delux est une escroquerie, pas de lumière du jour. Equipement étrange avec 2 éviers de cuisine, une minuscule salle de bain qui santait très mauvais. des canapés pas très propres. La vraie mauvaise affaire à un prix très élevé.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht: die Ausstattung sollte insbesondere was Bettwäsche und Handtücher angeht sofort erneuert werden. Das Frühstück war eine Enttäuschung ( langsam, keinen Tee erhalten und den Kuchen habe ich nach dem ersten Bissen liegengelassen - habe dann ein sehr gutes Frühstück inkl Kaffee in einer Bäckerei genossen.)

• Paul (8/5): Awesome and exacerbated my stay in pondicherry - It is a very French style hotel so brought back memories of childhood travelling through France. Everything functioned really well. And it had a pool, though small, you could have a dip after a hot day. The restaurant had good food. It was also very close to the parts of Pondicherry you would probably like to see. If they could put in double glazing in the front windows. I was not bothered with the noise of the road traffic but I’d say others might be

• Carlos (8/5): It was good - Everything was great and lovely!! Laundry service!! They outsource to someone who messed up some clothes big time some had to be totally trashed. Leaving that aside they are very nice people and the hotel is very pretty. Just don’t have your laundry done here.

• Alan (9/5): A very pleasant stay ! - Small and extremely friendly hôtel. Front desk made us very welcome. Hôtel was just a short walk to the beach as well as a multitude of Cafés and restaurants. Strongly recommended to those visiting Pondicherry. Breakfast was served in the roof top restaurant each morning and was fine.

Breakfast in the restaurant, which is not connected to the hotel but the hotel price included breakfast…the breakfast was very Indian, with few recognisable alternatives, AND ALWAYS LATE!! We wanted to get out and about, but had to wait sometimes 30 minutes to be served. In the evening the restaurant served very good food; but we would have liked a beer and they had no alcohol. A pity. • Raushan (1/5): Disappointing and Pathetic service - Nothing apart from location. It was a frustrating experience. I recently stayed at Palais de Pondichéry in Deluxe King Suite and unfortunately the experience and the service was PATHETIC. Several issues made the visit very disappointing and frustrating. To start with, we kept on getting calls from reception to allow technicians in the suite balcony for some fixing / repairing work. They kept on disturbing throughout the day. Then to make the stay worse, there was no breakfast served (though we had breakfast inclusive booking) and water bottles provided even after multiple calls. In the end, we had to buy drinking water from outside and had to checkout without any breakfast after waiting for an hour. This whole experience was even more frustrating as we had some elderly and kids with us. Not sure, how have they got such high reviews. Must be paid ones. Definitely not recommended. overall disappointing and Pathetic. There are multiple options to look from in White Town area. Better explore those.

• Laura (9/5): Great hotel for a family stay in Pondicherry. - The staff were all very friendly and helpful we arrived at 4:45am and they tried really hard to accommodate us and help us get comfortable even though the hotel was full and check in is at 2pm. The hotel location is perfect. And our room was huge and comfortable. The small coffee shop attached was the best latte I found in Pondicherry and the hotel restaurant was one of our top evening meals. The Indian breakfast set some also yummy. There was quite a bit of noise at night (I think from the kitchen) which woke me up a couple times. I also think the pillows need replacement soon as they were looking a bit old.

• mascia (7/5): Ci aspettavamo meglio - L hotel è ubicato bene vicino a molto ristoranti, le due camere prenotate una era spaziosa l altra piccolina ma con materassi buoni, la struttura ben pulita, dotata di ascensore e all interno delle camere viene donato un piccolo omaggio di biscotti e snack. Il ristorante è buono ma un po caretto la piacina non abbiate pretese perché è una pozza non attira a rilassarsi anche perché non ci sono neanche sedie, giusto se uno ha caldo e vuole stare a mollo ma ti fai una doccia è meglio visto l enorme puzza di cloro, piscina sconsigliata. Abbiamo avuto anche problemi seri con il servizio lavanderia dove ci hanno rovinato 2 pantaloni costosi 4 maglie non erano lavate bene, dopo varie lamentele ci hanno decurtato il servizio lavanderia (che all inizio volevano pagassimo) ma che comunque non copre il danno dei pantaloni che dovremmo ricomprare, uno era un pantalone fatto su misura da un sarto con tessuto di qualità, quindi a vostro rischio e pericolo far pulire gli abiti da loro.
