• Odkladalova (10/5): - Skvelá lokalita priamo v centre.Majiteĺ bol veĺmi napomocny a milý. Apartman je až na 4.poschodí.
• Emma (8/5): - This was a lovely stay! A bit out of the main center of the city which was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle from the main strip. We enjoyed how spacious the apartment was. We appreciated that there were two bathrooms for the four of us to share. The beds were comfy. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the apartment was on the very top 4th floor access via stairs only. The door to the apartment was very challenging to open but once we were able to figure it out, it worked every time. It was noisy at times on the streets below but never kept us awake. Unfortunately, we had a few sheets that seemed to be stained or not fully washed when we arrived so we had to use other options for bedding available.

• Anneli (8/5): En fin lägenhet. Återkommer gärna. - Rymlig och ljus lägenhet. Högt i tak. Två toaletter. Fin utsikt från balkongen. Autentisk miljö och få turister men ändå nära till centrum och bussar. Snabb respons från ägaren vid behov. Trapporna inne i lägenheten och sovloftet innebär en fallrisk för mindre barn.

• Frédéric (9/5): Excellent appartement pour un séjour à Palerme - Emplacement parfait, accès rapide à pieds à tous les sites où arrêts de bus intéressants. Commerces, cafés, restaurants aux pieds ou très proches de l'appartement. Équipement complet, appartement propre et spacieux. De l'eau au réfrigérateur à notre arrivée. Le + 😉 : la possibilité de travailler nos cuissots en montant les escaliers en courant (76 marches exactement). Suggestions : nous avons très peu utilisé la cuisine mais peut-être qu.un micro ondes pourrait être utile.

Max bardzo miły i pomocny, byliśmy cały czas w kontakcie a podczas zameldowania dostałyśmy słodki poczęstunek :-) polecam i chętnie wrócę kolejny raz Jedyny minus to nieprzyjemny zapach z łazienki i zacinający się zamek w drzwiach wejściowych, trochę trzeba się nagimnastykować żeby go otworzyć 🙂

• Ana (9/5): Anfitriões muito simpáticos. Perto do centro. Apartamento enorme e luminoso. - Era enorme, com muita luz. Só mesmo a localização. É muito perto do centro histórico, mas é mesmo na primeira rua dum bairro menos bem frequentado e há via mesmo muito barulho dos moradores que ficavam a beber e gritavam até muito tarde. Era um bocadinho assustador, por isso vínhamos cedo para casa. Tal como tinham avisado, era o último andar sem elevador, mas era para compensar a pasta que comíamos durante o dia…

Away from crowds, easy walk everywhere and close to airport transport. Max the host was informative, responsive and always available. Several good Mini markets and restaurants just down stairs. Not being able to stay longer.!

• Hughes (9/5): - I couldn't thank the staff enough. We turned up after midnight after a delayed flight and she was still there to let us in. She also sent us a list of places to visit and checked we were okay during our stay. It's in the description so didn't bother us but it it is four floors up so read before you book and please don't complain about it. Once you are in, the flat is great but it's a bit of a climb with luggage.

• Marlena (10/5): Exceptional - If you want to try the real Sicily, live among local people, I recommend an apartment from Simona, the apartment is equipped with everything you need, a kitchen, two bathrooms, a comfortable beds, the views from the balcony is just amazing and beautiful, the city centre is 10 minutes on foot, there are shops, a bakery, a grocery store downstairs, a beautiful place to relax, the apartment is on the fourth floor, without an elevator, but it's great, you can burn calories after all those silician amazing delicious food, highly recommend to book this apartment for everyone Mabey wardrobe to keep clothes on rail
• Stefano (8/5): In the heart of “Borgo Vecchio” for a real insight experience, especially with fireworks - We were welcomed at the house and got the full explanation on premise. There was a problem with the heating system that was faulted on our arrival. The owner tried his best to fix it, but it was not easy for the New Year’s Day. It was temporarily fixed 24 hours later and the owner offered the full refund. The whole process was professionally and friendly managed. 👍
• Gabi (9/5): We would stay there again! - Simona was very kind. The flat was big and we had Everything. It was really loud at night. It is in the town- there are lot of young people with mopeds and ghetto blaster. For us, it was okay, but its better to know that before.
• Annika (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location on local area and the open view from the balcony. The apartment was very modern, nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was big and the beds very comfortable. All in all great stay and would defenately recommend Shanti Holiday House!
• Michael (8/5): Spacious and modern cosy apartment with a very kind host - Very beautiful, charming and spacious apartment. 2 very nice bathrooms. We used the washing machine which was cleverly situated in an annex of one of the bathrooms. It was nice to have a balcony. Our host Simone was extremely kind and generous. When we asked her where we could by the nice tablecloth in the kitchen, she gave it to us as a present! The location as such was very convinient, a nice café round the corner. Nearby also a supermarket and a bakery. Most of the sights could be reached by foot. However, in the evening and early night the surroundings became rather noisy, so that you better waited to open the doors to the balcony. In the living room it would be nice to have an additional lamp, as in the evening it got rather difficult to read a book there.
• Madeleine (5/5): Passable - Nice large space that’s well equipped and furnished! The host was lovely, very communicative and helpful. While the apartment is a nice size and includes nice amenities we did have some issues. The aircon drips a lot and requires a bucket, the dryer requires several cycles to dry the clothes, the dishwasher leaked and we lost electricity 3 times. Unfortunately the neighbours weren’t very nice and we were yelled at multiple times (though this is of no fault to the owners). We didn’t feel the safest in the neighbourhood.
• Terri (8/5): Great value for money with air-conditioning - Air-conditioning and modern facilities. Lots of room and being on the top floor, beautiful high ceilings. Simona was super helpful on arrival and on hand via WhatsApp with any queries. She even forwarded me a bunch of recommendations, things to do, where to eat etc. Balcony overlooks the rustic neighbourhood. Music from surrounding squares gives a nice ambience to the space. Comfy couch, and bed. A safe haven after a big day of sightseeing. Many piazzas in the streets behind Shanti offered great food and drink options if you're looking for something outside of Via Marqueda tourist strip. PLEASE NOTE the 76 stairs up to the apartment weren't ideal but not completely unexpected when traveling through europe. Super grateful for my hybrid backpack on this trip. A large suitcase would be very difficult to get up the stairs as they are quite narrow. Also the key to the main door can take a bit of jiggling about to get the door to open.

And she went above and beyond answering any questions we had very quickly! Would highly recommend Shanti Holiday House.
• Dominic (9/5): Sad to leave - Felt like a home from home! The sort of place where the host has left you olive oil and herbs so you could cook in the kitchen without having to bring everything with you! Washing liquid and soaps a plenty. Good solid shower and a fitness workout getting upto the attic apartment. Once you arrived you felt comfortable to stay It’s in the centre of Palermo and you can park in this area, but it’s a bun fight to do so! But you’ll need to hop on lime scooters to get to the main tourist attractions. Saying that we found a lovely restaurant around the corner and lots of bakeries. It’s a poor quarter of the city but not threatening. If you do stay here empty the bottle outside the window for the main aircon or it leaks on the floor (minor issue)

• Roy (8/5): Very good - Large, comfortable main seating area with Smart TV. Laundry facilities - both washer and dryer! Kitchen included coffee and water. Separate office /working area. Two bathrooms! Found on street parking nearby on crowded local smaller streets. Close to lots of practical small stores and casual restaurants. Simona, our host, was super responsive and friendly and quickly provided items for the kitchen we noticed were missing. 5 flights of narrow stairs to access the apartment (although this was mentioned in the listing). Loft bedroom was spacious but again a lot of stairs to access the bathroom at night.
• Fitret (10/5): I would stay here again. - Everything!!!!! It was a beautiful full size apartment. It was outside of the CBD of Palermo but just beautiful to watch the locals go about their lives. Simona was AMAZING!!!!! She was extremely helpful and gave some excellent suggestions of where to visit. The stairs. But it was well worth it.
