- Samir (9/5): In a town with varying degrees of accommodation, this was a fantastic find. Highly recommended. - Everything was wonderful. We had an issue with the requirement for an additional bed for our room, for my daughter but this was rectified. They were very responsive with every request. Recommended. If I had to find a fault it would be that they did not have elevators in the building where we stayed, which can cause an issue if you are less able. Be sure to comment on this when you book to secure ground floor accommodation.

- Wacuka (9/5): Great with some shortcomings - The place was great! The staff was very kind and helpful to most requests from my family and I. We loved the live music on Saturday night, it added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The food was quite nice and the waiters are extremely attentive which was appreciated. One of the rooms was quite squeaky when making the slightest turns and the water pressure was low with limited hot water in the same room. Additionally the shower doors did not close all the way so there was quite a bit of water on the bathroom floor which is quite a fall risk. We requested additional towels to dry the floors and none were provided which was a bit frustrating.

- Nikitas Chouchoutas (10/5): Thank you 😊 - Very nice and quiet hotel in the center of Nakuru city
Thank you for everything 😊 A hotel with 120 years of history needs to be more decorated with pictures from the past...nice old pictures from the past at breakfast area at the rooms...
Just a idea 💡
Thank you for everything ❤️

- Stefanía (9/5): Excelente estancia - El personal muy amable, excelente desayuno. La habitación daba a la carretera y era muy ruidosa, las ventanas no son suficientemente aislantes.
- Kelly (8/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Wonderful staff great location - Wonderful service, great ambience and efficient professional staff.
- HONGYIL (9/5): -
- Musa (9/5): Short stop in a Nakuru classic - Friendly staff who were very accommodating of our requests and always seemed happy to help. Nice preservation of an old historic hotel. Rooms and furnishings were nice, quiet and spacious. Secure parking, good food (breakfast included). No downstairs lounge area separate to the restaurant
- Racquel (9/5): Great place in Nakuru - Its as advertised, everything you’ll need is in there. Staff is wonderful! Kennedy accompanied me to go to the supermarket at night. Staff at the restaurant already knew my name by my second day.
And they have a recommended driver - Linus. He picked me up and dropped me off to Mai mahiu to connect to the masai mara safaris at reasonable price.
Everything worked seamlessly. Property is a bit dated. But properly maintained.
- evans (9/5): Awesome, top in my list whenever I have to stay in Nakuru. - The breakfast is served on time for early risers and has wide variety and freshly made stuff. The staff are decent and courteous without pressing for tips or handouts. The facility is well maintained with orderly parking space.Next to main road but the serenity inside is unbelievable. There is a golf course a stone throw away for golfers, and has good proximity to the CBD for those whose need quick access. They ownership should consider a gym/health hub and a swimming pool.
- Vincent (7/5): Boxing Day 2025 - Received a warm welcome. Staff at check in, restaurant and room were friendly and professional. Good food especially the breakfast. Clean rooms. My room was supposed to be sound proof but there was a lot of noise from the corridor affecting sleep quality. Some floor tiles were missing.
- Austin (9/5): Lovely place to stay with family - The Staff are really kind and accommodating. They made our stay over the holidays quite memorable. It did at times feel a bit “too busy” generally due to the shared non-resident restaurant. However, the soundproofing in the rooms mitigated this.
- James (9/5): -
- Dr. Dirk (8/5): - If you have got old windows in your room, traffic at night can be very loud.
- Yedne (4/5): -
- Jane (9/5): Excellent facility and service - Excellent facilities. Clean and comfortable rooms and spaces. The check in and check out was seamless. I wish to specifically single out Tony (at the reception) whose service was exceptional and has a very positive attitude. He ensures you feel at home and your requests are taken care of. Kudos Tony and team. The dining team was also very efficient and warm.
Ohh the club sandwich was yum yum. Lack of a swimming pool.
- Joseph (9/5): - Very friendly, helpful, and welcoming employees. none
- James (9/5): -
- Solomon (8/5): - Friendly reception staff and room was ready for us when we arrived Nothing in particular.
- avraham (10/5): -
- James (10/5): Will be back - Location, security, beautiful rooms, great breakfast and happy staff No pool!
- Oigo (10/5): - The rooms were great and staff very responsive especially since I booked at 11pm and arrived past midnight. A little maintenance fault on the shower cubicle door...loose hinge
- muthee (7/5): Ideal accommodation for a brief visit in Nakuru. - The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and I really enjoyed the shower. The breakfast was delightful, and the rooms had everything you could possibly need to make your day comfortable and enjoyable. I'm not a big fan of the carpet in the corridors and in the room. It would be wonderful if the staff could be a bit more proactive in assisting guests during check-in and checkout and offering help whenever needed with luggage.
- Roberto (1/5): - Spacious facilities The harassment from the security staff, they even asked for money
- Omega18881 (7/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): - Restaurant food and staff were great.
- Sharuq (5/5): Ok - Calm environment and good people No gym, no heated swimming pool
- Paul (7/5): Good value for money -
- Sharon (7/5): -
- Rupal (10/5): Excellent value, nice hotel with great food and ambience - Excellent buffet breakfast and 3-course dinner (half-board rate)
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Great ambience in public areas of the hotel
- no road noise
Great place to stay in Nakuru. Would stay again Rooms were a bit dark and smaller, shower slippery
- Rupal (9/5): - Stayed extra night with separate booking. See separate detailed review.
- paul (6/5): - Great hotel for travellers
- Joan (8/5): -
- Nina (10/5): Enjoyed the stay - Breakfast was good and location was central...great! Staff were very accommodating and pleasant The chicken asmara drum sticks were a bit bland

- Christian (8/5): - Sauber, super Service ohne aufdringlich zu sein.
- Stanley Kirwa (6/5): -
- Ambrose (8/5): Awsome - Food was excellent, friendly staff, excellent customer service and good ambience. Very comfortable rooms I liked all experience
- Xuexiu (10/5): - This is a true luxury hotel experience. Everything (room, building, yard, restaurant, and staff) is exceptional. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and super clean. The bed is very comfortable. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. One morning I asked for a cappuccino, before heading out for a full day safari drive, but the espresso machine was receiving regular maintenance. The staff surprised me by delivering a cappuccino to me when I was already in the safari land crusier about to depart. Above and beyond service. A great luxury hotel.
- Kamau (7/5): Ok but could be better like in the past. - Centrally located, clean rooms and surroundings. Housekeeping team need to up their game in making sure rooms are properly serviced with necessities. Strange there is no information booklet in the room!
- Samy (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Very pleasant stay at Midland Hotel. - The staff were absolutely fantastic - the Restaurant manager Naftaly was so attentive unlike other managers elsewhere who are usually aloof. He works so hard and made sure we were well looked after during both meals we had. All the other staff everywhere from the reception, garden, gate, hygiene crew, restaurant were fabulous; so very courteous and polite. Our room was fine; rather dated as this is not a new hotel but with all the amenities we needed and a lovely hot shower. We could have done with two armchairs but managed with one and the desk seat. Overall a very very pleasant stay in a lovely, friendly and beautiful environment. Will definitely return if in the area again. We were very happy with our stay.
- Leo (7/5): I loved the inspiring greenery environment. - The location. The breakfast. The Indian menu. It's not their strength but the rest, the did wonderfully.
- Solomon (8/5): -
- Sami (6/5): Otherwise a good stay except the challenges of traffic noise and shower issues. Staff is friendly - For the sake of moving around in Nakuru the location is good and generally it's a decent hotel. We had a room in the older building with a window towards the highway and the noise of the traffic from there is very loud. I have stayed earlier in the newer building and there the sound is not so loud. They should put more sound proof windows in the older building. As it is, I wouldn't want to stay there. Secondly the shower could give only either too hot or cold water, it was not possible to adjust to comfortable level.

- Anupma (10/5): A hidden heritage gem in Nakuru! - Loved the vibe of this hotel! The staff, the service, the rooms, the gardens, and the decor were great! Highly recommended!
- Mohamed (10/5): -
- Ngugi (9/5): - Cleam room and clean and perfectly hot showers. Good and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with wide choice
- Drazen (9/5): Nice stay - Room view at the ground floor
- Jalvir (8/5): - I had a few things that i wanted during the stay, like for eg : universal charger, they did not have the same, then I wanted a lighter which again wasnt available, I needed to exchange some money, which again did not have.
but other than that the stay was good. ancilliary services were okayish.
- Gladys (9/5): -
- Gladys (9/5): - The food
- Marco (4/5): Hotel could be better, wonderful tour guide! - The only thing I truly and really enjoyed about my stay was the assistance from my tour guide, Linus. He was incredibly supportive and always there to help with everything — a real highlight of the trip. I couldn’t take a proper shower because the water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. I informed the staff, and someone came to check, confirmed the issue, but nothing was done.
I also politely asked for a late checkout of just a few hours, but I was told I had to pay for an extra night instead.
In the end, I had to change hotels with their approval.
- Bob (9/5): Great hospitality and value - Staff, food and environment Nothing
