Con cuatro adornos y cuatro muebles de Ikea han intentado modernizar sin éxito un piso antiguo de lis de toda la vida. Es muy triste que este tipo de desastres sea lo que vendemos al turismo.

• Claudia (5/5): Peccato.. - L’Hostal si trova in posizione centrale ed è ottimo per vivere la città Entrando nella struttura si sente un forte odore di profumatori che è quasi nauseabondo. La camera aveva per l’opposto un odore di chiuso e umido che ci ha subito sdegnato. All’ingresso un divanetto bianco tutto scolorito e ingiallito. Pagare 200 euro e avere questa sensazione è stato pessimo. Peccato perché il resto della camera era arredato con gusto ( come si vede dalle foto Pubblicate) il letto era comodo . Il riscaldamento era spento e abbiamo dovuto chiedere di accenderlo per farci la doccia .Per fortuna siamo state solo una notte .

• Victoria (6/5): - The modern fittings in the interior decoration were a nice touch. The staff were nice and offered laundry service. The location was a bit far from the old town city centre, requiring bus but it was easy enough to navigate. The bed was dipping in the middle and made it uncomfortable for two to sleep. The room was too small for the price per night. The shower was very tiny, difficult to actually wash oneself in the space. There was an overuse of decorations and extra furnishings that crowded the room and made it less functional.

El tamaño del baño muy pequeño, la habitación enorme hasta con un escritorio y dos sillones mientras que el baño súper chico que parecía una cabina de avión. Tampoco me gustó que al preguntar por late check out te cobran la cantidad irrisoria de 25 euros la hora.

• Diana Munich (8/5): - Al inicio tenia dudas porque no estaba buscando un hostal realmente, pero justo en esas fechas estaba todo llenisimo en Madrid y no encontré muchas opciones. La verdad que fue una grata sorpresa este lugar, porque la habitación supér comoda, con una cama grande, almohadas comodas y un balconcito. Ademas una mesa grande entrando a la habitación que le dio un toque peculiar, pero que nos gustó. Está perfecto para una noche de descanso. El baño era compartido pero francamente no tuve inconvenientes, porque siempre todo estuvo muy limpio. La verdad que no tengo quejas y todo estuvo super bien. La ubicación como tal, la verdad que bien. Yo me fui caminando al mercado san miguel y me tomó quizas unos 20 minutos llegar caminando, y el camino agradable con muchos comercios y restaurantes. Fui un poco dificil de encontrarlo. Llegamos de noche y realmente no tiene mucha señalización. Es un edificio de apartamentos comun y corriente y tienes que tener la paciencia de leer la plaquita que tiene al lado cada edificio con el nombre de los inquilinos, para identificar que hay uno con el nombre del hostal.

• Mykela (7/5): For the locations a price this is a great deal. It’s not luxurious but a nice place to rest. - The location was great. Tucked away in a more quiet part of the neighborhood but still easy to get to. The room itself was much bigger than I thought and was nicely decorated and includes a balcony. Finding the hotel was a challenge. The hotel is located in a multi use building that just looks like an apartment.There is no large sign out front, just a small note on the call box. We arrived at night and luckily someone next door pointed us in the right direction otherwise we would have gotten very lost. The hotel is also up two flights of stairs, which for us was fine but if you’re disabled or have a lot of luggage could be a challenge. Also the hotel isn’t as much of a hotel as it is just rooms for rent. There is no lobby, cafe, or any room to socialize. It seems like it was a much largest apartment unit they broke up into rooms. When you walk in there is a narrow hallway with rooms branching off that leads to a small check in desk. The hallway was very rundown, the walls were yellow and peeling which had me scared to see the room but the rooms itself was great. The only issue in the room was the bathroom is extremely small, you can’t shower without getting water everywhere.
• Marija (10/5): - This was, at the same time, the smallest and one of the cleanest rooms we slept in. It is difficult to explain how small it is, you literally jump into bed when you open the door, and the bathroom is impossible to describe. Yet, it is extremely clean and tidy, and the lady who runs is is sooo cute and kind. The price was way higher than it should be, but it was due to the fact that some business forum was taking place in Madrid those days so everything was more expensive than usual. The location is perfect, so if you only use the room to sleep in and spend your days out, it’s quite okay

• Gatica (3/5): Juegan con lo que te "ofertan", publicando información ambigua para que después no puedas reclamar. - 1. Llegue a la "dirección" que indica lo informado en Booking. La niña que me atendió me indica que no me iba a quedar en esa dirección. A esto llego otra trabajadora del Hostel, salimos de la dirección y dimos la vuelta a la calle y me hizo ingresar a otro lugar (que ya no era la dirección que indica el anuncio). 2. Eran al menos 5 piezas muy enanas. 3. Las sabanas estaban usadas y con restos de pelos.

De host sprak geen woord Engels en ik moest samen met 2 andere mensen naar een ander hostal (zonder reclame aan de buitenzijde verhuizen). Hier kreeg ik een erg krappe kamer van 2m x 2m; geen mogelijkheid om de kamer te verduisteren. Wifi code werkte niet... Zeer betreurend dat ze dan ook nog eens de prijs opdrijven omwille van evenementen in de buurt. De dag nadien verbleef ik elders in de zelfde prijs categorie en het was hemel en aarde verschil !

We - This adorable boutique hotel is in a great little neighborhood full of small shops, bars, and restaurants. Great for lunch and window shopping. The hotel has a unique decor that is great for both couples and would be the perfect stay for a girls trip. We booked a room that had a shared bathroom. But that was our choice and had nothing to do with the hotel. And frankly, it really wasn’t an issue. There was an additional toilet next to the one full bathroom. At no time did I find that either the toilet or the bathroom was full. So it really wasn’t an issue. And it was just two doors down from our room.

The curtain of the shower don’t fully avoid the water to go out, so always after take a shower the floor of the bathroom was getting wet.

The interior of my room is awful. I was guide to another building on another street after check-in. I have gotten three keys in total. However i cannot get back in at night as they had given me the wrong key. Nobody answered the WhatsApp number they had provided. So i had to head back to the first building and ring the bell. After the very poor communication without a single apology, I was asked to go back to the building I stay and ring the bell there. The gate was opened but with no explaination, no new keys, and of course no apology. The share bathroom is okay.

• Barnickel (8/5): Beautiful, clean little hotel in a quiet, convenient neighborhood. - Bed was big and comfortable and the hotel was beautifully decorated and clean (you could smell a hint of bleach if you came back mid morning after cleaning) with a big door to outside. We appreciated the little fridge and space to put our things. The room warmed up well when we figured out the heater. The manager didn’t speak much English but we didn’t have trouble communicating since we didn’t have any problems besides needing a better key for outside which she gave us right away. She was nice! The street is pretty quiet at night after 12 and we slept well. Easy walk to the prado area and very close to the metro which made everything in town easy and fast to get to. It was a little hard to find. Look for the address not a sign because the sign is just a tiny plaque above the buzzers. Use the picture they send and buzz the hotel on arrival. The walls (and pillows) were quite thin so your experience will depend on your neighbors but really the only annoyance was the shower. It’s super tiny which is ok except that no matter what you do the water does not stay in the shower. Once you change your mindset to just being in a fully wet room and put a towel outside for your feet it’s perfectly fine. The water is hot, the bathroom is clean and the manager dries the floors when she cleans everyday.

• Metehan (5/5): Hablas Ingles por Favor - It was initially clean and perfectly located. Reception is like a joke. No clear instructions. No elevator. You have to read a pencil written, almost erased, in tiny letters "hostal" next to a doorbell, which is next to another dozen doorbell. No English speakers. You can't even communicate via their whatsapp number using google translate. There is no sync with the receptions (whatsapp holder), and the handler (the one that cleans the room and show you your room). They are nice people. Still, I had quite a weird experience. They said they will compensate... nothing happened. So... perfect location, but unless you speak Spanish, don't go there!
• Patricia (1/5): BEWARE - BEDROOMS LOOK NICE ON THE WEB-SITE BUT IT IS A SCAM. - Location was excellent for what we needed as had an appointment at the French Consulate. However the entrance was dark and dirty - there were stairs that my colleague had difficultly in climbing as suffering from lung problems. We booked AND PAID FOR our stay to have two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. We arrived and were told by the receptionist that there were no rooms as such available - and were shown in another building which was disgusting two rooms which were adjoining (we were colleagues !) and a tiny old fashioned bathroom at the end of a long corridor. I complained and said that this is not what we paid for. I was told that no rooms were available with ensuite. After negotiations and saying that I would need to pay an extra 100 euros we were given two rooms with ensuite. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THAT BECAUSE WE WENT THROUGH BOOKING.COM THEY GIVE THE WORSE ROOMS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY PAY A FEE - I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY 100 EUROS REFUNDED. ALSO IT APPEARED THAT THIS PLACE IS USED AS A BROTHEL AS A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING WOMAN WENT INTO THE ROOM AT 1.00 LUNCHTIME THAT WE WERE TOLD WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 4.30 (CHECK OUT TIME IS 11.00 AM) - BEWARE FOR THOSE WHO BOOK THROUGH BOOKING.COM YOU WILL BE PENALISED BY THIS COMPANY. THERE IS NO COFFEE (HAD TO ASK FOR IT) - FRIDGE WAS EMPTY DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT WAS ADVERTISED ON THE WEB-SITE. THERE IS NO WHERE TO SIT. I WOULD LIKE THE ADDITIONAL CHARGE THAT I HAD TO PAY OF 100 EUROS OF WHAT I HAD BOOKED ON BOOKING.COM REFUNDED AS THIS IS BASICALLY STEALING.
