Guest Reviews
- Tamika (8/5): -
- Cath (5/5): - I liked the view but shame about the overgrown weedy garden between the cabin and the view. The cabin smelt, I think it may have just been fumigated as there were dead cockraches one morning Too small a bed, it was a double and the top of the driveway was not good.
- Meenaghan (10/5): Cosy cabin with incredible view on the balcony! - Clean property , with incredible views, looking sitting on the balcony
- Monika (10/5): -
- Belinda (9/5): -
- Gerben (7/5): Basic, prima schone plek - Indeling
- Ali (8/5): -
- Sophie (8/5): The view beats everything - Location was great, felt private and amazing views, spacious cabin for 2 people No smart tv, unable to watch tv if needed due to signal being very limited, dirty mildew flyscreen from bedroom to deck difficult to open and close door into deck

- Mutakatala (10/5): - Location, views of the mountains apartment was so clean. Very quiet place best for couples.
- Kathleen (9/5): Loved it! - The peace and quietness of the loaction/area and the views were breathtakingly beautiful. The separarated cabin area screened with garden from other units made you feel you were 'on your own'. Walking distance from the Chalet for dinner (if you are fit to walk back up the hill). Would book again. Some higher areas in the cabin e.g exhaust fan was dirty, some window fly screens covered in dust. TV hard to work.
- Judy (8/5): Perfect private getaway to switch off. - Comfy, private. Loads of extras in the property
- Yvonne (7/5): Relaxing - The latest location There was no dishcloths or t towel
- Alicia (9/5): - Comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Had everything we needed Nil

- Leanne (8/5): - View
- Tara (9/5): Fabulous location with views like no other. - View is amazing Smelt a little musty but once aired out was perfect.
- Joseph (6/5): Step back to the 80s - Isolated place Very dated cabin
- bill (9/5): -
- Shane (7/5): - the view of the mountains when you view was covered by the clouds
- susan (8/5): -
- Fiona (8/5): - View was excellent and cabins clean and good layout. Loved sitting watching the changing Valley and clouds and mist. Bed was comfortable and everything there for a comfortable stay. The TV only got limited Channels - 2 and 3 so could only listen to the Cricket. This was disappointing.
The cleaners were late in finishing so couldn't access the room as scheduled
- Paul (10/5): -
- Debora (8/5): - The view was stunning. Location good. Clean and comfortable bedding.
- Richard (8/5): Had everything we needed for one night stay. Beautiful going to sleep and waking up to the mountains. - The view is amazing Access to the room was 1 hour late, however the hosts allowed us to leave late. Glasses not checked and found a cracked glass but luckily it didn’t cause any problems

- Marilyn (8/5): Recommend. Very comfortable and wonderful views. - The location is wonderful, overlooking the valley. Very quiet, which was what we looked for. We had previously been to Broken River and wanted to stay “up top”. We would have liked to know there is only once place where you can buy meals, and in true regional Australia, the meals were large. Probably wouldn’t bother most, but we don’t have large meals. Very good food though. The Breakaway cafe/takeaway towards Broken River has very good coffee and cakes. It’s not a dislike observations. See above.

- Shannon (8/5): Amazing views & beautiful scenery - Amazing location and beautiful views. Perfect for a quick getaway. Plenty to explore in the area. Could do with a little updating as in Frypans, cutting board. We could not get the TV to work, 2 chanels would give us a picture and nothing but a blue screen for the other chanels even though we could hear talking (not good for watching the 2025 NRL grand final :-(

- Jenny (10/5): Relaxing place to reset and enjoy - Location and view Tv stations didn’t work
- Wendy (8/5): -
- Brenda (8/5): A beautiful spot on the edge of the mountain. - Beautiful location Our cabin didn’t actually have the view of other cabins. Needs some TLC
- Lee (8/5): Wonderful location, beautiful views and value for money, we will be booking again next year. - We loved the location, privacy and the view The TV did not show picture on channels 10, 7, 9
- Dylan (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (5/5): Passable -
- Rebecca (8/5): Most stunning views for a cute little unit - The view was unreal. Could sit on the back deck forever drinking tea. Staff were very responsive when an error was made with the booking. Great kitchen supplies to cool simple meals. Super comfy bed, sofa bed not so much, but good enough for kids. It had a slight 80s smell but with some windows open, would clear until the house was shut up again
- Luke (8/5): Comfortable - It was tidy and clean and good view The plastic chairs on veranda were broken and not safe to sit on.
- Sue (8/5): Very pleasant stay thank you - Outstanding location The washing up cloths were very old and smelly so we used paper towel to wash up. Sauce pans were put away dirty and needed to be washed before use.
- Stephen (7/5): I said "Wow" every time I saw the view! - Fantastic views down the valley from back verandah of our cabin (Tulip Oak). Beautiful sunrises and sunset. We visited in July, so it was very cold, but air conditioners in living and bedroom areas kept us warm. Facilities were a bit basic (TV only received ABC/SBS and no streaming services, toaster hard to adjust, no smoke alarm in living area although their was a bracket on the ceiliing). But I booked the cabin for the view and have no complaints there!
- Elle (10/5): Stunning location, excellent facilities! We will be back! - Comfortable, warm, stunning location The sofa bed mattress was a little uncomfortable but that’s not uncommon for sofa beds.
- Jarrd (8/5): Great location could do with some good lighting - Location TV reception nil. No smart tv. Light in dinning needs changing
- Ronald (9/5): A little gem in Eungella, perfect as a base for exploring the area. - Location and view were great. Early check-in was greatly appreciated. The cabin was comfortable, peaceful and private.
- Steven (7/5): Good -
- Benson (8/5): Very good - The view is as-advertised (when it's not raining)! Plenty of space. Down the road from Eungella Chalet. Water pressure was quite low and unstable.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful view, comfy and secluded and had everything we needed. Perfect romantic getaway Fans and aircon filters needed a bit of a clean
- Helen (7/5): Fantastic location and beautiful views . - Location to NP. The lock on the cabin was faulty, we had difficulty getting back into the cabin. The room was musty , not a very pleasant smell the windows had been left open and the air conditioner turned on torid the cabin of the smell.
- Sophie (9/5): Perfect view and location to get away - The view and setting was amazing and an easy walk to the chalet, it was a great size for our family of 4 with 2 young children
- Bethany (9/5): Beautiful - Amazing views, the sunrise was beautiful and the cabin was lovely
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dale (9/5): Superb -
- Danielle (10/5): AMAZING Getaway Experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas. The views are spectacular, with rolling ranges, singing birds, fireflies, butterflies, uninterrupted views of the milky way in the night sky and much more. We loved the Satin Ash Cabin, it was very comfortable, private, valley views from the bedroom overlooking the patio and it provided all the essentials for a relaxing time away with many trails and walks to explore in the surrounding areas. Highly recommend!!
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Naomi (10/5): Exceptional - View amazing. Lovely cabin with everything needed. Wonderful location. Sofa bed was broken so slept on fold up mattress provided. Not the most comfortable. The bedroom mattress and bed was great though.
- Ross (8/5): Very good - Location, cabin fit out, cllean Not enough hanging rods/hooks in bathroom
No clothes airer to hang towels
No soap dispenser at vanity
- Cate (8/5): Great place to stay for the weekend. Has everything that you need for short term stays. - Cabin was great for the weekend we had it. Price was great compared to others in the area and we (4 Adults) were very comfortable. It was private/quiet even though the other cabins had tenants. Obviously, the views are remarkable, but the fireflies had us fascinated. It was central to everything and an easy walking distance to the Chalet and other places/attractions in the area. There was nothing really that we did not like.
The light in the kitchen was not working which made it a bit dark in the kitchen when cooking. A slight inconvenience of low pressure in the showers/taps and water temps not being really hot. Could be overcome by spreading out showers and just boiling water for washing up.
- Adam (7/5): Good - Location
Comfy beds
Clean kitchen Cobwebs around windows and curtains
Cobwebs and dust on bedroom walls
- Mondy (7/5): Feel nervous about returning in case we can’t get in. We wasted 2 hours trying to get in 😢 - The location and it was clean and comfortable. The neighbor was very helpful (Kevin). We couldn’t check in. We did not receive a code to enter the premises. We had to drive around Eungella asking the locals if they could help us. Thank goodness for Tess at the Chalet for assisting us and giving us the code. We are still yet to hear from the owners. They did not answer their phone or reply to any messages regarding the code. We still have not received a code. The bbq didn’t work.
- Adrian (7/5): Great base for exploring Eungella - The location, especially the view out of the rear veranda was exceptional. When the mist cleared there was an idyllic view right down the valley for miles.
A very short drive to some beautiful parts of the Eungella national park, with platypus and many other native wildlife and plants, a great base for investigating the surrounding area.
Contact with the host and access to the cabin was very simple and straightforward.
The cabin and all the facilities and equipment (cooking utensils etc.) were spotlessly clean.
The bathroom/ shower was a good size and adequately equipped, little packs of shampoos, shower gel and conditioner were supplied. Towels supplied.
There was a little portable two plate hob, a kettle, toaster, and microwave - all fully working.
There was a TV.
Tea, coffer sugar and cookies were provided.
Cleaning materials were provided.
Mobile signal was excellent.
There was covered parking immediately next to the cabin.
There was a decent size private veranda at the back ( with the truly lovely view) , with a gas barbecue.
Two air conditioning units - we didn’t need to try them.
Insect screens in good condition on all the doors and windows.
Enough power outlets. There was a damp smell when we first arrived, this was very noticeable but did disappear pretty quickly (or maybe we got used to it).
Someone in a commercial vehicle parked on turning area on the driveway to the cabin. This made it quite tricky parking up. As we only stayed one night it wasn’t a big deal, but would be very irritating if that was there every evening.
- Ross (3/5): Poor - Loved the weather, for us it was perfect, love the rain & cloud The power switch was coming out of the wall, the fan was visibly dusty,, we booked for 4 people but only were supplied with 3 towels. Whatever cleaning priducts used the smell was very noticeable upon opening the door to enter, my husband had a severe reaction, his eyes swelled immediately and went very red and sore. We have lived locally before so we know it's not an allergy to the outside environment. The power outage just topped it off, after bringing food with us to cook we were told to go and eat at the Chalet. I know this was out of anybody's control but still was a dampener. Unfortunately we will not be using these facilities again. In future we'll stick with what we know and not deviate again.
- Luke (8/5): Very good - Everything, thankyou for a very grounded and relaxing environment. A little firepit or old drum for a fire in could be a nice addition to the unit.
