Guest Reviews
- Gillian (8/5): Enjoyed the surroundings beautiful and how well kept the cottage is. - The location and how clean the property was. The steep stairs were hard work. The property was very cold when we arrived. Would suggest putting the heating on for a few hours before the guests arrive in winter months.
- Malcolm (8/5): Excellent location and well presented comfortable property - Convenient location for town, only a few minutes in the car, and a great touring centre. Extremely well equipped with latest equipment, including washer/dryer and dishwasher. Spacious lounge and bedrooms. Adequate heating system if needed, we did occasionally as it was a bit wet! They kindly left us kitchen supplies, tea coffee, etc. There's car parking outside the door. Some nice walks nearby.
It's a very nice property, but if you have mobility issues please note my comments below. It's difficult to turn the car round in the road, best to drive half a mile and do it safely at the next hamlet.
Our only negative, and it's mainly due to age, is the stairs and landing. For a couple of oldies (late 70's) the stairs were a bit on the steep side and the landing level is different for all 3 rooms, bathroom and both bedrooms. We had to be very cautious about moving between the rooms and going up and down the stairs. We're both reasonably fit, but we had to be extra careful as had we had a fall we might not have bounced!!
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): It was a very pleasant stay and it felt like coming home within a few hours of us moving in for the week. - It is light and spacious, andwell equipped with high quality items. We found it challenging to use the induction hob from time to time. It could be that one of the frying pans did not make proper contact?
A drying rack for dishes is recommended.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Fab Cottage in a great location. The cottage had everything you could want. The views were fab, easy parking right outside the door and only 10 minute walk to the Village of Hawes.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
