• James (9/5): Really nice hotel, worth the money, would stay there again. - The check in was easy, friendly attendant. Room was rather large for a Japanese hotel. Really nice modern room. Was surprised at the need to pay the city? user tax upon check in (8000 yen) Long walk from train station, about 3/4 mile. Subway available but not much room for luggage.
• Jukka (10/5): Can't be any better hotel..with this location. - Location was perfect, even very close to station. Room was very clean. Everything was more than expected. Also very silent location. Just one stop from Kyoto Station. Also staff was very helpful before the actual hotel nights and also during the stay. We got good advices and help. Bed was better than expected. Very wide for one person. Washing machine was close to reception and working with coins. Bed reading lights are missing (or we did not find), but one standing floor lamp was very easy to move to the middle of the beds.
• Ksenia (10/5): Excellent - All: - very polite and hospitable staff - clean , new, spacious rooms - the room has everything you need, including a toothbrush and comb - good location, quiet place, not far from the central Kyoto station - excellent hotel, if it was possible to give more than 10 points, I would) - when booking on booking.com it was written that all taxes and fees are included in the price, but upon check-in it turned out that the accommodation tax of 700 yen is not included - i would like a later check-out, at least until 11:00, and an earlier check-in, at least from 14:00, but this is more a wish than a minus, the hotel is really good
• Mary (10/5): Wonderful - They were so accommodating and helpful! The room was very clean and the bathroom was significantly larger than other hotels we stayed at in Japan. I highly recommend staying here. Honestly, I liked everything.

• Alex (10/5): The city of Kyoto was inspiring. The temples were magnificent! And Hotel Ikoi was the best decision I made in choosing a - Situated in a quiet neighborhood near the Kujo train station, one block from Lawson and a number of mom and pop restaurants; unit was very spacious with 2 single beds - we had 4 suitcases all over the floor and we still had ample space to move (and dance) around🤗; the bathroom was equally spacious - more than the regular hotel bathroom space in Japan; the unit was well-maintained and very clean; actually the entire boutique hotel was well-maintained; the hotel owners, Mr & Mrs Matsui, were very nice and accommodating. Hopefully you wouldn’t forget some of your belongings in the room. But in case you do, Mr Matsui will make sure you get them back - even after you have left Kyoto. Thanks again, Matsui-san! We will see you again on our next Kyoto visit. I like everything about the property!
