Guest Reviews
- Lindsey (8/5): We were happy with our stay - The property is located in the center of Blackpool, quite handy for the aqua park and to walk to the beach. It was cosy and nicely decorated. The mattress in the double bedroom facing the back of the building is uncomfortable and sagging.
- Patricia (10/5): I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment, my kids were so happy. I tell you is value for your money - I like everything about the apartment Just a little complain with the big bedroom bed
- Rebecca (8/5): - The location
- Karen (7/5): Good - Good location. Nice decor. Responsive hosts Back door and bedroom windows poorly sealed so continuous cold draught.
No cafetière - we bought one as a house present!
Hob not working tho hosts very responsive
- Darren (10/5): Despite a few maintenance problems with windows and beds, we had a very positive stay at the house. - 1. Easy access to the property.
2. House was very clean, tidy and the little items like a few teabags/sugar/coffee sachets, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and washing up liquid provided were a nice touch. Cannot fault the host for keeping a property, which must be filled with all manner of different types of humans across the year, clean throughout.
3. All the appliances you need for your stay, including washing machine, dishwasher, iron, ironing board provided. TV had a Sky box with access to Freeview HD channels as well as other Freeview channels.
4. Area felt safe enough to walk about. There is a Tesco express literally a 30 second walk to the end of the road which provides most of what you need.
5. Parking on the street either in front of or near the property was a godsend. It's not something you typically have the benefit of when staying in Blackpool.
6. The host (Jo) was quick responding to any messages and kept in communication throughout our stay, making us feel very welcome. 1. Mattress in the back bedroom is quite thin, starting to get worn out and the sagging is apparent. Not too much of a problem for now if you are a back sleeper but over the coming months would benefit from being replaced.
2. Filter in the dishwasher had not been cleaned for what looked like some time and had a red and cream slime around it. A 10 minute clean in the sink got it back to how it should be.
4. A couple of slats seem to be broken and missing from the bed in the front bedroom.
5. Seals in windows in the back bedrooms let in quite a draft when closed. Not too bad at the moment but might be a problem keeping the house warm when in late autumn and through winter.
- Sheena (9/5): Lovely place for a short stay - Lovely decorated and clean house which was a great stay over for our long weekend visiting Blackpool. Good to have free on street parking. 25 min walk to the tower/ seafront Nothing major
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional - House was lovely clean tidy and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again
- John (10/5): No Sleep Until Blackpool - Value for money, great little house that can sleep 4+ adults comfortably. Good sized kitchen / dining area, 2 double bedrooms are great. Stayed 2 nights with 3 other friends, better than staying in a local hotel, will book again when going to a music event at Lemmy's Bar at the Waterloo. 5 minutes walking to the venue plus the house is close to Tesco Express and several local takeaways. Parking is on the road outside the house which may not be suitable if you have an expensive car, that did not matter for me :-)
- Lyndsay (10/5): Exceptional - So cosy and so close to eveeything that was needed
- Tracy (9/5): Superb - Beautiful clean modern, very homely.
20 minutes walk to the front Promenade
so didn't need to worry on finding somewhere to park.
Lovely thoughtful touches, like fresh Milk and Bread to use.
Key Safe box so not restricted on arrival times.
Lovely friendly lady owner who you can message via the Booking.Com app with questions she's helpful in answering quickly. There's nothing that we didn't like, only thing I'd mention to be aware of that the next door neighbours have dogs unfortunately which bark inside house so if your using back bedrooms maybe some ear plugs to sleep in so they don't disturb would help this issue.
- Eve (10/5): We had a lovely stay and will be returning - The house was clean tidy and modern,as soon as we entered we loved it and it smelt beautiful throughout we loved everything Nothing we didn’t like
- Gail (9/5): Spotlessly clean newly decorated house in a quiet street - Lovely newly decorated house with all mod cons. Everything we needed. House was extremely clean and was handy to have shops nearby. Quiet residential street. Was a bit further from the beach than we thought but easy to get to and park as we had the car. Patio doors couldn’t open easily so we didn’t use the garden in case we couldn’t get them shut properly and the constant barking dogs next door was a bit annoying! But the hosts won’t have control over that.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Leanne (9/5): Superb -
- Carole (10/5): Exceptional - The house was lovely. Clean and close to the shops. How far from the front.
- Michelle (9/5): Quirky, comfortable and great value for money. - The house was very clean
House was decorated beautifully...quirky, homely and very comfortable
Owners were kind enough to provide some basics like tea, coffee, toiletries, bread and jam, milk etc.
Smart TV and WiFi and xbox
Great location... not too far from beach. Nearby shops.
No trouble parking outside the house.
Had just about everything you could need
Good communication from home owners.
General area is a little run down (like much of blackpool - nothing to be concerned about at all) but on the whole it is great and this is a fantastic house in a quiet area.
Key in key safe so no messing about waiting to be let in.
I'd definitely stay again. There is no lock on the bathroom door and bathroom is small
Hob was a bit tricky at first, though great quality
Could've done with bigger pans (though pans provided were great quality)
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - Fresh, clean and modern. Plus close to all local facilities and attractions.
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Nice home from home - Really lovely house. Everything you could need in a home away from home. The beds were comfy, lovely outdoor seating area (though we didn't get to use it much due to weather) Would definitely stay again Nothing really an issue. We weren't sure we worked the heating right but there were blankets provided so it was fine. Nothing was an issue at all really
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely host, beautiful and clean property. - Lovely homely feel to the house which has been beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Unexpected little added extras such as tea/coffee, shampoos etc was very much appreciated. Communication with host (Jo) was spot on and we’d highly recommend staying here if visiting Blackpool. Nothing wrong with the actual property itself. Location as a few have mentioned is a good 25-30 mins walk to either the north or south part of the promenade. Not an issue for us but may be for some.
- Kimberley (10/5): Fantastic stay in blackpool - Just leaving from a lovely stay in Blackpool. The house is fantastic, decorated lovely and spotlessly clean. It had everything needed for a family. Shops on your doorstep and a restaurant round the corner. Location is about 20 mins walk from promenade. Its close enough to everything so that was great. Had a really great long weekend and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in blackpool.
- Bbe72 (9/5): Pleasant enjoyable stay - House was very clean, everything was provided. Comfortable & relaxing. Amenities were excellent. Did not have to take bedlinen or towels like with many self catering. Basics like tea, coffee, bread & cookies were also provided which was a nice extra. Parking out front so didn't cost the earth to park in carpark for our stay. Hostess kept in contact from booking to arrival. Would definitely recommend Only downside & it's not really the hostess fault but maybe should be highlighted is the distance to the main attractions. We are on the wrong side of 50 & the walk back & forth was long. If my disabled wife had come with us we would of had to get taxis everywhere. This is not a bad mark against the accommodation in any way
- Team (10/5): Exceptional - The house was clean and modern with a quirky twist. Great location with amenities close by. The four poster bed was comfy and would definitely come back again. Nothing
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Lovely house, great location. Nice touch of milk and bread left in the house when we arrived. Could have done with a second key to the front door.
- Joy (10/5): Fabulous home! - The house was absolutely beautiful. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. It was clean and well looked after. Jo left us coffee/bread/milk/butter etc which was lovely. Its a short walk from all of the attractions.
I'd definitely stay at this house again if I was to visit Blackpool again The weather wasn't great so we couldn't use the lovely garden area
- Craig (10/5): perfect - clean and everything you needed was there nothing
