Buena comunicación con el anfitrión que estyvo muy atento y se ofreció a ayudarnos en un problema que tuvimos con una de las camas. Tuvimos un problema con una de las camas, tenía un par de lamas rotas. Al avisar se nos ofreció cambiarlas, pero como nos quedabamos una noche, pues estabamos de paso, nos aviamos

• Sean M (10/5): Lovely stay in a charming old renovated downtown apartment. - The property was everything I could hope for and closer than I expected to the square and coast. I love architecture and this was everything I loved about old buildings. The shower was tight to get into due to the door and decor but once you moved things and positioned things just right it was fine. It’s an old building there was bound to be one modern thing that was awkward and this was fine.

It was an adorable little apartment, right on the square, right on the Camino Ingles. It was cozy and homey and close to everything. We turned on all the heaters and showered and blew a fuse. It took a little while for the contact person to see our message (which was a problem as we needed every second to hang dry our clothes). Once he did, he came right over and fixed it. But it seems a good idea to warn guests what they can and cannot turn on at the same time, to avoid this scenario.

• Nuria (4/5): - La ubicación. Llegamos al alojamiento y estaba sucio, tuvimos que esperar más de 3 horas a que vinieran a limpiarlo. .Las habitaciones estaban descuidadas, la calefacción y el wifi desconectados.

El anfitrión muy atento se ofreció a ayudarnos en un problema que tuvimos Al revisar las fotos no vimos que había que subir a un pequeño altillo para usar una de las camas, Dos de los miembros del grupo tienen movilidad limitada, además el apartamento no tiene ascensor y esta en una segunda planta. Hay que mirar bien las fotos para asegurar que es accesible para ti
• victor (9/5): Excelente opción para pasar unos días en Pontedeume. - Se trata de un apartamento muy amplio con dos dormitorios y cocina independiente. Está situado en el centro de Pontedeume con todo tipo de servicios alrededor y existe facilidad de aparcamiento.Tiene una televisión enorme en el salón y en el dormitorio principal. Dispone de muchísimo menaje y además tienen el detalle de dejarte cápsulas de café. Con los calefactores se mentiene una tempertura muy agradable sin problemas. Para acceder a la cama de matrimonio de uno de los dormitorios las escaleras son un poco incómodas lo que puede ser un problema para personas con dificultades de movilidad.

• OLGA (6/5): Incomoda - La ubicación. El colchón era muy cómodo. Es un piso incómodo. Las escaleras de acceso al piso son muy empinadas. Le faltan muchos detalles importantes, como cucharillas para mover el azúcar del café; solo tenía cucharas de sopa. Escaso menaje de hogar en general. Lo elegimos por la chimenea y no está en uso, la tienen condenada. Nos enteramos 10 días antes de entrar y porque preguntamos. Aun con los radiadores, es una casa fría. Los radiadores que hay no son suficientes para calentarla.

• Óscar (10/5): - Es un apartamento con mucho Flow, estuve solo pero creo que hasta cinco personas podrían alojarse sin problema. Completito hasta el más mínimo detalle, un piso de techos altos, antiguo, reformado con acabados muy bonitos. Cocina equipada y muy chula. Lo cierto es que es muy recomendable, al lado del puerto, justo al inicio del casco antiguo. Enrique muy buen anfitrión.

• RUBEN (9/5): Excelente estancia. - La ubicación del alojamiento a pie de camino es excelente, el apartamento es una maravilla y tiene todo lo necesario para un buen descanso después de la etapa del Camino, el anfitrión es muy comunicativo y estaba atento a todo lo que le comentaba.

• Robert (9/5): Very cool and hip 2-bedroom apartment near the center of town - Very cool upper apartment with 2 bedrooms and a very cool balcony! Strong shower and they had tea available for us. Good size TV in the living room and a very unique big bed with stair to get to it. Washing machine and almost anything you might need in a kitchen. It was up a few flight of stairs so it was a bit to get up and down. Had to have my bags dropped off near a cafe. Since it was near the main square you could hear children yelling and playing until 11 pm.

• Francisco José (2/5): Nos decepcionó. - La ubicación, aunque no es cierto que haya un aparcamiento gratuito cerca. Es público y limitado en el tiempo debiendo mover el coche continuamente Los espacios de la escalera comunitaria bastante decrépitos, con una escalera bastante difícil de subir sin ascensor. La limpieza justita, nos encontramos incluso con las cápsulas de café usadas sin retirar de la máquina. El calentador no funcionaba aunque lo repararon ese mismo día, pero nos dejaron suciedad en el lavabo. El acceso a cama superior muy dificultoso. No repetiremos en este apartamento.

La ducha es muy estrecha, el váter huele regular igual que las toallas que se habían guardado húmedas. El apartamento está en un segundo piso con escalera oscura y empinada de una casa vieja.

• Hi (8/5): a little gem, don't let the hall put you off - location was great, just down from a little square full of bars and restaurants, and only 1 street back from the main street, everything we needed in the apartment, including towels. coffee, plenty kitchen towels and toilet paper beds were very comfy. very quirky place but it was fantastic value for money, would definitely recommend. Great little town to wander around. visit the castle its lovely, The hallway is very dark and daunting upon arrival, and one of the stairs is a bit dodgy. we had trouble opening the apartment door. the lock is pretty dodgy and we did consider finding somewhere else, but once inside it was lovely and was one of our favourite stays on the Camino. very comfortable place, would recommend it.

However, we stood in the street taking fotos of our passports before I could receive the code for the key box. The stairwell is very old, narrow, and might be intimidating for a single traveler. There is no lift. But it was ok for my group. And again, the host was very responsive and the apartment was very modern and comfortable.

So comfortable and had everything we needed. Right on the Camino ingles too so no extra walking. I didn’t expect to have to communicate with property upon arrival to gain access code and keys. There was no sign to say the name of the apartment so I wasn’t sure we were in the right place. I messaged and was asked for photo of passports etc to be sent by WhatsApp. I was not comfortable with this as I had not been informed this was the process. However the owner replied instantly and came to help us get in. He was most helpful and we felt this was genuine and safe.

The apartment was freezing, we spoke to the owner who told us how to turn on the heating ( surely that should have been done before we arrived in winter?) we went out to dinner hoping it might have warmed up but it was baltic! We slept in our clothes, wrapped in fleece blankets under the duvets. Taking a shower in the morning was painful! If you want to let out accommodation in the winter then you need adequate heating. We are in our 60s and couldn't stand the cold and so cut our stay short. Booking.com refused any refund so the owner made over 200 euros on a freezing flat. Also worth mentioning that the parking is a couple of streets away .

• Nick (4/5): The grandeur is a little too faded - it's expensive for the student house type facilities - The location was fabulous, the apartment has a classic feel of faded grandeur, with a nice little balcony and overlooking a street full of little shops - including an excellent bakery. The rear bedroom (single beds) was comfortable - if a little blank - but the street noise didn't penetrate as it did at the front. Curtains or blinds would have been nice to avoid being awoken at first light. I understand renovations are planned, and the place could with a little imagination and investment be beautiful. We talked with the owner about what could be done. The place was grubby, with some things not cleaned for years, a tired bathroom with black mould on the shower, and the old oven and microwave really not up to scratch. There were no instructions for anything - others have mentioned trouble getting the wifi to work, and this was also true of the microwave (you need to slam the door) and the oven was plain dangerous. The front bedroom, the only one with a double bed, is gorgeous to look at, but you need to be an acrobat or a dwarf (probably both) to use it safely.

I loved everything, but as noted in other reviews, the only way into the apartment is up small interior stairs. Fine for me, I loved the old building charm, but it might be difficult for some.
