• Paul (10/5): Perfect - This was our favourite accommodation of our month trip to Japan! Four adults shared this villa and it was perfect for us all. Id stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was clean and suitable for four. Big kitchen, laundry with washer/dryer, two bathrooms, beautiful view out to the forest where we saw deer and a fox! There are no staff on-site but an ipad at the front door where you can video call them instantly. Yes you need a car to get here but Id highly recommend it. Ill be back here one day.

• Yukiya (1/5): 友人との久々の再会が台無し。トラブル後の対応が不誠実すぎます - 宿泊施設はとても綺麗だった 危機管理体制と事後対応があまりにもずさんで、到底納得できるものではありません。サポートの対応も非常に不誠実です。 ​21時頃、急に全館の火災報知器が鳴り響きました。 すぐにサポートセンターに連絡すると「アルソックが向かうので待機してくれ」とのこと。到着した警備員からも「原因を探すから待っていてくれ」と言われ、鳴り響く報知器の中、何が起きているかも分からず極度の不安の中で待たされました。当方は油を使って調理中だったこともあり、自分たちが原因かもしれないと生きた心地がしませんでした。 ​20〜30分後に報知器は鳴り止みましたが、その後施設側からは一切の連絡なし。あまりにも連絡がないため、しびれを切らして22時頃に再度こちらからサポートへ問い合わせて、ようやく「別棟のサウナの熱気による誤作動で、その棟の住人が全体を鳴らしてしまった」と判明しました。 ​以下の点において、宿泊施設としてあり得ない対応だと感じています。 ​1. 無関係の宿泊客に対する状況説明の遅延と放置 別棟の誤作動とはいえ、全く関係のない棟の宿泊客を1時間も不安な状態で放置するのは危機管理として異常です。報知器が鳴ってしまうこと自体は仕方ないにしても、原因が分かった時点で直ちに周囲の棟へ安全を知らせるべきです。 ​2. 現場での警備員（アルソック）の対応 駆けつけた警備員は、別のヴィラでの誤作動だと把握したはずなのに、報知器が鳴り響いた他の棟の私たちに対して「誤作動である」「安全である」という説明を一切せず帰っていきました。現場での配慮が全く足りていません。 ​3. 滞在価値の著しい毀損と、無視を貫く不誠実なサポート 今回は1年ぶりに再会した友人たちとの大切な旅行でした。しかし、別の棟のサウナ利用という「そちらの設備管理・利用ルールの問題」による完全な巻き添えを食らい、楽しい食事の時間は完全に台無しになりました。 この件について、責任の所在や宿泊代金の一部返金等の補償についてメッセージで問い合わせていますが、定型文のような事後報告メールが1通来たきり、その後のメッセージは完全に無視されています。 ​安全管理の怠慢はもちろんのこと、トラブル後のサポート体制が皆無です。利用を検討されている方は、有事の際には放置され、誠意ある対応は一切されないことを覚悟した方が良いです。

• SATOMI (10/5): 基本は最高でした😊 - 広々とした空間がとってもお気に入り☆ 子どもたちは、2階のロフトベッドガお気に入りで秘密基地にしていました。 備品なども揃っていて、次回機会があれば 早めのチェックインで、のんびりしたいなぁーと思いました。 洗濯機の排水がうまくいかず（結果入れすぎによるものでしたが） エラーが出るも、どこにもその表示の処理方法がなく四苦八苦しました。 取説置いてもらえるといいかなぁーと思いました。

• Farrukh (9/5): - You can’t light a fire or use a charcoal BBQ on this property, which is the only reason I couldn’t give it a 10 out of 10.
• Damaxan (4/5): Dysfunctional unit, frustrating customer service - Clean, good location, plenty of free parking, very large spacious rooms, comfortable beds. We had a bad experience with our unit/Rakutan, that I assume was a unique problem but had a major negative impact on our stay and our impression of the villa. We were notified before check-in that the sauna in our unit was malfunctioning and could not be used, and were offered sauna access in a different unit. A minor inconvenience, yet understandable. We inquired if we could switch rooms, however staff told us they were not able to adequately clean any of the empty units and were understaffed. Fair. We were a little frustrated because there was a burning smell emanating from the sauna our entire stay, which shares space with the ground floor shower. We did not use the sauna our first night. When we woke up staff called us to let us know we could no longer use that room and let them know if we wanted to use the sauna and they would give us a code for another room. We then tried to do laundry in our unit, but kept getting an error code. After reaching out to support, turns out there was a water connection issue with our washing unit and were told we could also use the washing machine in the alternate unit. When we finally went to the alternate unit to use the sauna and washer, we were surprised to find it was an identical unit to ours that was perfectly clean. Beds made. Etc. We were further frustrated that, even for the last night, we couldn't be relocated to this room given the inconvenience of broken washer/sauna and burning smell in our unit. On top of this, we got a notification from Rakutan that a bear had been sighted in the area and that we must stay in doors. Obviously this is not in control of Rakutan, but given they would not move us to the new unit we had to go in and out of our unit to do our laundry. I have reached out again since checking out, and Rakutan has insisted they could not move us due to the room not being clean....but we saw the room with our own eyes and do not necessarily believe this excuse.

• PEI SAN (7/5): Comfortable but needs to learn from the better Rakuten properties. - Spacious, comfortable beds, enough pillows, good heating. The Rakuten property in Nikko provides complimentary beverages incl alcohols. This one doesn’t even provide drinking water. The tap on ground floor wasnt working. We stayed for 5 nights, would be better if they clean every two days but they only clean on request. We tried our best to keep the place clean for our own comfort. Lastly neighbours so better sound proofing is needed.
• Irene (9/5): Spacious, quiet and well equipped for group travel. - The Villa is reasonable big for our family. In fact can stay up to 8 people with no issue. It also equipped with onsen and sauna for my kids to experience which I find to make my trip more enjoyable. The location is excellent provided you are driving. It has 2 separate bathrooms and toilets which not common for most of accommodation. There was no physical check in and out - using in room device to DIY. So far process is smooth. However the was issue w washing machine that we have to fix ourselves with help of online staffs. They will not be coming to fix for you. The improvement is for the property to be better is to clean the washing machine after the group check out to avoid hassles. Other than that I think is perfect place to stay.
