Guest Reviews
- Talbot (8/5): The cottage had all the amenities that we required. - The location was good . Nothing
- Elizabeth (10/5): Perfect location next to everything you need, house is way bigger than expected and immaculate - Perfect location just a couple minutes down the road to walk to the restaurants and shops. In a little cul de sac off the main road with a few other cute cottage like houses. It was huge! Two really big bedrooms with a second sitting room upstairs. Very clean, everything we needed to cook. Lovely hot powerful shower. Host was very helpful and quick to respond. Nothing
- Jaqui (9/5): Brilliant 3 nights in Lynton and Lynmouth. Lovely part if the country and lots to see and do. Some fabulous hiking trail - The cottage is in a great location and is very clean and has everything you need. Nothing
- Gemma (8/5): We had a wonderful stay in the wonderful cosy coastal retreat. The property is very comfortable and well equipped and Je - The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is in a great location with the added bonus of parking. Communication and instructions from Jenny were great and her guide was extremely useful. Nothing.
- Ashley (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful Christmas stay! - Great location, clean property, great communication with the owner, lovely touch having a little welcome gift. Great location walks. We had everything we needed for a family Christmas break. Everything was great, if being very fussy, a non slip mat in the bath would have been a good idea for young children.
- Ian (10/5): - Had everything that we could have wished for. Great location near to the town center. Excellent communication before arrival. Fully equipped, spacious, clean, warm, quiet. Good value. Nice touch with the Christmas decorations. Nothing.
- James (10/5): We loved it here, we were sad to leave. - This property was much more spacious than we were expecting. It was clean, warm, cosy and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was great for exploring Lynton and further afield. There was nothing we could improve on.
- West (9/5): As always Lynton is a Devon treasure, and so was Cosy coastal retreat - Well located for all amenities and private parking was an added bonus A step stool to reach the high cupboards in the kitchen and the door to the outside back space did not seem to want to open
- Julie (4/5): Humiliated. I’d checked with the owner before my stay the date and vacating time she’d replied saying Friday at 10am. On -
- Pete (9/5): Beautifully refurbished property in a quiet location, minutes walk from Lynton centre. Recommended. - Nothing.
- Stephen (7/5): Nice stay - The cottage was very spacious. Nice bathroom and comfy bed. Ideal location for the town and cafes. The house seemed a little chilly even though it was hot outside. The hobs on the cooker were impossible to work out how to turn on. Gave up eventually and just used the microwave. The outside patio had,nt been swept for ages, cobwebs everywhere. Also checking out time was 10 am but someone was knocking on the door at 9.45 am. Felt like we were been rushed to leave. When we left at 10 am the guy was outside with his cleaning products waiting to enter. Not acceptable as he should have waited in his car until 10 am where he would have seen us leave the premises at the correct time.
- Michael (9/5): -
- Teo (9/5): Excellent stay - Very welcoming, clean and great location -
- Hilary (10/5): Perfect Lynton cottage stay. - Perfect 5 days. On arrival, clean and clear, then you discovered it had everything you needed. Even had a 2nd sitting room upstairs as you accessed the little backyard to sit out in. Few minutes walk to shop and old town. Good location to explore in all directions; coast by walking and moors in the car. The parking place was essential and a bonus in Lynton. A great find. Local agent, should we have needed, was very helpful. Thanks Jenny, owner, always very responsive. Nothing to not like, just be prepared for shopping and eating out to be expensive....a basic coffee was £4.50 in most places....not my usual £3.50.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful home that was very comfortable, spacious
and had everything we needed. A convenient location that was great for exploring Lynton and Lynmouth. We loved it! The only improvement I would suggest is the addition of a grab rail over the bath.
- Liz (8/5): Great position, good facilities, good parking. Most enjoyable - Steps to rear garden etc could have been swept prior to our arrival.
Not being in control of the heating...very longwinded to go thru agent to owner.
Much easier had we been able to turn on briefly as needed/ set up timer for our return on colder days.
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
