Guest Reviews
- Linda (9/5): Comfortable and quiet - Charming, comfortable and quiet stay. Highly recommended. Great location close to everything in Ipswich.
- Sharon (8/5): We enjoyed our stay but a few areas need to be attended to. - Good location. Close to nearby shopping centre and close to a great park for kids and gym exercise apparatus.. Cleanliness was good. Bathroom good but not easy to get in and out of the bath,.. Wifi good. Heaps of crockery, cups and glasses.. Good size fridge. Great Bench area.. Lovely old Queenslander. Beds were comfy. Balcony area was great with lovely big table. Needs some update in the kitchen utensil area. Definitely a new frypan !!!, the one there is as old as the hills and not nice to cook in. A bread knife would be handy and extra tea towels for a couple of nights stay. A lot of the light switches did not work and need to be fixed. A bit of a hazard with a board on floor from kitchen to dining area which is easy to trip over. (maybe be marked). No flannels in bathroom, just bathmat and one hand towel. Just some things to be looked at and some TLC in a few areas.... Some plants needed to be attended to. Also maybe a bigger TV would be nice. Just some touches that need to be attended to.

- Bethany (9/5): Stunning house - Stunning renovations and furnishings. The place was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, tidy and clean while being well decorated. Definitely not accessible for any kind of mobility issues. The outside of the house is plain (which is fine but doesn't do the house justice) and the stairs are unsteady.
- Ruddell (8/5): -
- Narrissa (10/5): Perfectly gorgeous arthouse - The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and location is perfect for visiting family, beautiful comfortable home wish we could of stayed longer, second time staying and will do again. There did appear to be a visiting - possible possum who made a bit of noise in chimney flue. But not that bad, they are just living the best life in a comfortable setting.
- Steve (8/5): - Nice home and convenient location
- Peta (10/5): Lovely stay in Ipswich - A beautiful old house, decorated so lovely. It was in a great location for our needs and fit my entire family for a great price. The little touches were amazing. Everything was lovely, if I had to improve anything, it would be having a mattress topper on the beds, as they were a little bit firm for me, but I know other people like extra firm beds.

- Rodney (9/5): A very comfortable stay in a beautiful old classic. - The decor and art works are just beautiful. The fully-equipped kitchen had everything we needed and the aircons were much appreciated.
To stay in a classic 1940 Queenslander was a treat. The grass in the front and back lawns, and on the verge, desperately needed mowing.
It was a bit off-putting when we first arrived.

- Pamela (9/5): Lovely stay over in Booval - This was a very well appointed home, beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was no car parking on the property so had to park on the street. The keybox was in a difficult spot and hard to use for older people. There was some water leaks in one of the bathrooms but that can be fixed.
- Kristin (9/5): - Lovely place to stay it was nice and clean
- Steve (8/5): - Bed in first room on right hand side was uncomfortable and noisy
- James (10/5): My family enjoyed every minute staying in this well decorated home with so much character and unique detail. It was as i - Beautifully decorated home which so much character. It was like walking into a museum and admiring every room every detail was unique. Nothing.
- Tay (9/5): We had a lovely nights stay at the arthouse queenslander. - the place was so cosy and felt like you where at home, the thought behind the details of the place was exceptional and after a hard day moving was exactly what you needed to feel like you where at home relaxing. The mattresses was the places only down fall, when your traveling a good mattress is the difference between a great stay and a memorable stay.
- Kirsten (10/5): - The Queenslander has been restored with love. Easy arrival procedure. Quiet area. A lot of house for the money.
Had a high quality eye fillet at Char’d Steakhouse near by. Sometimes the look has sacrificed function.
Shower in huge bath that is a long way down to step out of and water from the shower head is hard to contain with shower curtains, puddles on floor.
Same for vanity, basin in a piece of antique furniture sprays around making a mess.
- Jill (7/5): very clean. beds very comfortable - didn’t have breakfast more modern bed covers
- Maryann (9/5): A good place to stay when in Ipswich for a sporting carnival. - Beautifully decorated… a nice comfortable stay. All very positive feedback only.
- Heather (10/5): A beautiful home - A beautifully renovated home. Lots of space in a quiet location. Very comfortable. The blankets were polyester, so we bought a cotton blanket for my husband, who is allergic to that.
The showers over the baths were difficult to get into at our age.
- Jacinta (9/5): Great house, central location that we would stay at again - Beautiful property - furnishings were just beautifully styled & it had everything we needed. We actually decided that we could live here! Shower screens looked like they needed to be replaced & the lawn needed tending to but otherwise perfect
- Arron (10/5): Love, love, love! - The house is amazing, everything flows. The decor is stunning and feels light and welcoming. Absolutely loved our stay! There is plenty of space even for a large family.

- Teinea (10/5): - The house was comfortable, felt like home, art pieces were amazing, beautiful and our kids were so intrigue and fascinated by the olden pieces of furniture and collection(telephone,Kitchen, the bath tubs, underneath of the house)our boys explore the whole house inside and out. It reminds them of G-grands place out in Dalby.Thank you for making our stay one so dear and memorable. We didn't get to enjoy a lot of our time at the house, its our fault but hopefully we could book it an have a longer stay.

- Lorna (9/5): A special house - beautifully renovated - Beautiful design and decor, in a lovely renovated Queenslander house. Rooms were beautifully decorated with gorgeous furniture. A special house to spend time in. Early morning tea on the veranda and cooking in the well appointedand stylish kitchen that had everything you'd need. Appreciated the tea, coffee machine and milk and condiments left. Ceiling fan or Extractor fan in bathrooms would be a good addition.
- Fleur (10/5): - How beautiful the house is. Nothing.
- Rachelle (10/5): Very homey and comfortable - Beautifully presented, wished we could have spent a little more time there to enjoy it all. We had to be on our way by 6.30, it would be a great place to stay for a few days.

- Julie (7/5): Quick pit stop to recharge ourselves to continue with our travels - Location good. The place could benefit a good clean. Walls doors wardrobe
- Kirsty (10/5): -
- Paul (9/5): Beautiful, interesting, artistic, unique place to stay. - Beautifully restored Queenslander fully of artistic and visual interest. It’s a delight to behold. Actually better than restored because of modern convenience tastefully installed. Very spacious and well equipped, and clean. Very airy and allergy-free (for me). Front steps a bit tricky in wet weather, especially carrying heavy bags. Could do with a bit more grip. Showers need a little agility.

- Michael (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - How incredibly stunning!
The styling was gorgeous, and the house was just so cozy and well thought out. Loved the electric blankets, extra pillows, and how much it felt like being at home.
- Dianne (10/5): A lovely night in a gorgeous home. - A beautifully decorated home that had everything we needed in a quiet location.
The kitchen was well equipped and it has easy to use washing and drying facilities. There were no photos of the outside of the property so we were not aware of the stairs that needed to be negotiated to enter the property, and parking indicated it was onsite - but it was on the street. The information needs to be updated.
- Ms (10/5): Beautiful Queenslander close to Ipswich cbd - Beautiful house so inviting and Complete with all the essentials . Great stay!

- Debbie (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing property. Quiet street with so many facilities in the local area. 10/10 stars! - My husband and I had a staycation as our floor was getting done. We didn't expect much but the property was lovely and very well taken care of. The furnishings were tasteful and appropriate. We had a lovely relaxing stay.
I would recommend this property to all my friends and family that may be visiting the area. The air conditioner started to leak but when I messaged the host, they were very quick to respond. We only stayed one night so we didn't see the results of our conversation.
- Marysteph (10/5): Full of charm and delightfully relaxing. - 2nd time at this house. We love it . The house a beautiful charm to it. It is beautifully decorated too. Great location and no hassles with access. Although the kitchen is well decked out. We were a group of 7 people. The house can have at least 8. I found the one average sized frypan was not enough. I was doing a big cooked breakfast and it took ages because I had to do so many smaller batches. Either an Electric frypan or another frypan would be useful.
- Arlene (9/5): Beautifully decorated old Queenslander near centre of town. - Good location, very clean Lighting over lockbox could be better
- Lisa (8/5): Good location, lots of space for groups or families - We have stayed here before. We booked our stay for a sports event, but unfortunately it was cancelled at late notice so it was too late to get a refund on accommodation. We ended up staying anyway and enjoyed our night.
- Janice (8/5): A beautiful Queenslander home - A beautiful Queenslander home with plenty of character and authenticity. I love how they’ve preserved original elements like the old light switches and oven. The charm of the creaky wooden floors adds to its history, but some areas could use maintenance. The outdoor stairs felt uneven, which was a safety concern, and due to the home’s aged and worn condition, we were hesitant to use the light switches for fear of breaking them. Powerpoints were also hard to find and not conveniently located. Overall, a lovely stay with a great vintage feel, but some updates would improve the experience.
