Guest Reviews
- Emma (8/5): - Incredible location near Penmon and Beaumaris, beautiful interior and friendly owner. Wish there was a little bit more comfort - more than two small toilet rolls for five people for four days, a teabag or two for when you arrive. As long as you know to bring everything with you it is perfect.
- Sarah (4/5): If you are prepared to bring your own supplies and clean the place on arrival it is a great cottage. - The cottage itself is lovely, great location and the kitchen was fully equipped. We booked for a family of five with two dogs, for three nights. Due to the heatwave we ended up being a party of four with no dogs. I contacted the host on Sunday when we arrived, she was very quick to respond and very friendly and refunded the dog surcharge. The back sliding door doesn't work property, which was fine for us as we didn't need to use it. The main double bed is very comfortable but the children's room triple bed is not comfortable and the mattress doesn't quite fit on the bottom bunk, meaning you have to be careful not to catch your leg on the metal frame. The big problems we had were with the cleanliness of the property and the lack of towels and toilet roll. I'm not sure the cottage had been cleaned since the last guests and has not been deep cleaned for quite some time, it felt grimy with cobwebs in the sitting room and a significant build up of dirt in the shower (on the hose especially). The kitchen drying towel and many of the utensils were still covered in food, and there was barely any fairy liquid to hand-wash plates and only three dishwasher tablets. I contacted the owner who got back to me straight away but no additional supplies were kept on site so she said she would have to contact the cleaners who would drop supplies around. The cleaners did not appear with supplies on the Sunday night or Monday day so I went and purchased my own cleaning supplies, toilet roll and towels from the local shop (which luckily was open on Bank Holiday Monday). I chased again Monday afternoon (more than half way into our stay). The cleaners arrived late Monday afternoon / early evening and we were given one towel, a clean dishcloth and one more toilet roll. Bringing us up to a total of four towels with no hand towels, and two toilet rolls, which I do not consider to be adequate for a booking of five people for three nights / four days. We had to dry our hands with our bath towels and had no towel for drying our hair. Had I been warned to bring my own towels, toilet roll, washing up liquid and dishcloths I would probably give the property a good review (albeit I would still mention the dirty shower).
- Sarah (9/5): Charming little cottage. Good value for money - Location: far enough away from Beaumaris to avoid the other tourists; yet close enough to walk into the town (approx 30 mins). Great location for exploring Anglesey attractions, towns, villages and coastal path. Also a short drive from Snowdonia, Caernarfon and the Lleyn peninsula. It’s a cottage… don’t expect 5 star luxury but do expect cute/ quirky comfortable accommodation, sympathetically furnished and decorated in line with the advertised Fisherman theme. To the front there’s a small patio (lovely if it’s sunny and not bad for star gazing on a clear dark night). Yes, it’s a busy road but I wouldn’t say noisy. Getting parked in front of the cottage wasn’t a problem for me. However care is needed when pulling out into the road. The property would benefit from a refurbished shower room and maybe a newer cooker.
- george (4/5): Disappointed - We were not happy with the accommodation. Very disappointed as the cleanliness was a big issue. Missing items in the kitchen. Missing plug in wash hand basin. Main front door would not close if the sun had shone on it throughout the day.
Electrical point hanging of wall in cupboard. Two steps within the property were a trip hazard.
These issue were notified to the property company but not resolved during our visit.
We did get an apology and was informed the issued would be resolved for the next guest.
This was very unprofessional as we felt that we did not matter so overall very disappointed.
We left a day earlier after our experience.
- Robin (7/5): Very satisfactory - Cosy & comfortable Parking beside a busy road with limited visibility when pulling out.
- Sean (10/5): Beautiful and stylish cottage - Perfect for a quiet stay in the country. Everything was well designed and the artwork was beautiful.
We had a lovely stay Would have liked a pub in walking distance
- Carol (10/5): - Lovely quiet spot nice size good seating outside the property Electric cooker not very good
- Rachel (10/5): Great few days away! - The property itself was lovely and the location was great too The shower was very small but is understandable for the size of the property and wouldn’t stop us returning.
- Anthony (6/5): Will not be returning - Should at least be carpeted in bedrooms. floor was very cold.. Front door very draughty, needs a door or at least a curtain to isolate vestibule. Had a power cut into evening, no lighting or heat until 8pm. Not good. From photographs, expected fuel burner!

- Linda (8/5): Great cottage in a lovely position for exploring Anglesey - The property was clean and there was everything we needed The property could do with a bath mat
- Margret (9/5): -
- Patricia (8/5): - Close enough for a good walk into Beaumaris but in the country. Handy driving to several points of interest. A bit tricky to find as photo looks like its on its own but is in a row of cottages.
One bed great..other a bit shaky.
- Frances (9/5): Fabulous location, Fabulous accommodation - Great location, fabulously equipped, really clean.
- Leslie Royle (10/5): Our trip to Anglesey. - Good location. nicely decorated and clean. comfy bed everything you could possible need for a relaxing holiday. Nothing not to like just perfect the way it is .
- Carol (10/5): Lovely place to stay very quiet very close to beaumeris short walk to a beach - Everything there what you needed beds where very comfortable. Dog friendly, very clean
- William (10/5): A hidden gem that has everything! - For the size of the actual property, we couldn't believe how spacious and well planned it was. Facilities were brilliant, location was fantastic, and it was beautifully quiet. So clean, very well looked after and just perfect! Thank you so much! Nothing. It was a faultless stay!!!!
- Neil (10/5): Comfy and homely, great location! - Great location, lovely accommodation 😊

- Gary (9/5): Ideal in every way - Cosy clean comfortable & great value 👍 the cottage location is perfect for either walking into Beaumaris , exploring the fantastic beaches of Angelsey , and near enough to drive to Llandudno , Conwy or up into Snowdonia.
We’ll definitely be coming back
Many thanks Gary Nothing to dislike
- Leyland (7/5): Overall we enjoyed the couple of days - V.well presented for a small cottage.
Disappointed with the tiny enclosed patio and no pub etc within walking distance
- Rebekka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asif (8/5): Nice little cozy getaway. - We were there for a short stay but I'm sure we would have enjoyed another couple of days as well. Everything was great, nice little cozy getaway. Close enough to towns for quick access, far enough to be quite and nice walks. Nicely furnished. This might just be nitpicking, but found the mattress to be a bit springy, but the main issue was the separate taps for hot water. When washing your hands or dishes, you either freeze or burn your hands, no in between 😂. But everything else was great.
- Batty (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (10/5): Beautiful little cottage - Great little cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend away
- Nigel (10/5): Lovely Fishermans Cottage. Perfect for what we wanted. Will return. 10/10 - Quirky Nothing
- Carolyn (7/5): Disappointed - Loved how the cottage had been styled , the plentiful kitchen equipment, the clean bed linen, and a comfortable bed and sofas.it has the potential to be a really lovely holiday let. I wiped the kitchen tops, resulting in a dirty cloth. Floors had been moped, but obviously not well as the bottom of my new slippers became very dirty in a very short time.
There were cup stains on coffee tables. The kitchen sink and bowl were filthy, my cloth was brown.
Stains around toilet base sealant. The grouting and sealant in the shower needed a good scrub. Rusty radiator..
Curtains in the bedroom had a few inches of mould at their base.
It's such a shame as I don't expect perfect, but I do expect hygenic. It just needs frequent deep cleaning, which is obviously not happening.
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional - Seclusion Poor TV reception
- Leah (9/5): Fabulous - The property was very clean, comfortable & cosy. It was a fab location & will be returning in the future. Everything was fab but if I was to be really picky it would be to swap the bunk bed for an actual bed as it was quite creaky when moving. (Nothing major but just what I noticed)
- Lukasz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Lovely cosy little cottage. Nicely decorated. Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable clean and cosy
- Sarah (8/5): Perfect location. Good value for money. - Location. On ground level.
Local amenities. Clean.
Lovely decor.
Nice crockery/ utensils Busy road.
Water heating could do with an upgrade, after 1 shower water was cold.
Beds uncomfortable, creaky.
- Trinny (10/5): Can’t wait to return - This was exactly what we wanted! Lovely homely feel to the cottage and decorated beautifully. Well equipped place, great attention to detail & very clean. Will defo be returning.
Great location for beach walks. Nothing
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location for exploring. Beautiful little cottage cosy and comfortable. Good afternoon sun at the front of the cottage. Nothing we didint like.Just obsevations. A shower caddy in the bathroom for soap/shampoo would be helpful. There is a dishwasher but for two of us some washing up liquid would have been great. Did buy some. Tea bags and some coffee.
- Walkden (7/5): This would be a nice place for a couple to stay in a dry summer. It's conveniently close to the town and there's - The cottage is close to Beaumaris. It was good for two people. The mould in the bathroom and the smell of damp.
- Barbara (9/5): Cosy Fisherman's Cottage - The cottage was very comfortable, the decor suited the cottage, lovely blues and whites. It is a walkable distance to Beaumaris with gorgeous beaches a nice drive away. The only negative was thd location, on the main road.
- Patricia (9/5): Lovely cottage in good location - Cosy cottage very near to Beaumaris with parking space. Comfortable , clean and well furnished, everything needed to make own meals was provided. Very near to the road so some traffic noise. Noisy when it rained, roof windows took a hammering
- Diane (8/5): We relaxed in comfortable surroundings( home from home) - It was extremely well equipped and decorated with a lovely coastal theme Nothing
- Nick (10/5): Cozy , clean & stylish cottage that feels light and airey - Cozy clean and good location for Beaumaris. Beaches and an easy drive away from the cottage and was a perfect stay if you own a dog Hot water taps a little odd but easy to use in the end
- Robert (8/5): overall very good , safe , and clean . - location good , car parking good kitchen utensils, frying pan old non stick worn, no tin opener, no dish washer tablets left out , lights on main wall not working
- Donna (7/5): Lovely place to stay - It was lively presented It was clean but wasn’t the cleanest it could be
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (8/5): Great little bolthole for exploring Anglesey - Great location, spacious and clean. Some nice little touches like a cooler bag and ice packs for beach days and a picnic basket. Nothing
- Helen (9/5): Lovely place - Clean, bright, the decor, well kitted out kitchen, great place No coat hooks by the door
- Thomas (7/5): Cottage cosy and handy to visit places. Easy walk into Beaumaris. - Nicely furnished and decor Didn’t dislike anything but microwave dishes would be useful.

- Linda (9/5): Superb -

- Moore (9/5): Superb -
- Fi (9/5): Quiet and relaxing but near a good town. - Location and decoration.
- Alistair (8/5): Great cottage, will be booking again soon - Lovely little cottage, in a great location.
Beds were really comfortable The unmarked step between the bedrooms and the living room. Our children made a sign so we didn't keep banging our toes.
The hot water system in the kitchen tap needs adjusting, it spits out boiling water as soon as the tap opened, we found it dangerous, it needs the thermostat turning down inside the boiler
- Dave (10/5): Comfortable and clean - Clean, cosy and great location TV struggled to work, fire place wasn’t an open fire.
- Tina (9/5): Lovely cottage in a a beautiful position, this was our first visit to Anglesey and will be definitely coming back again - Tastefully decorated and comfortable cottage, lovely location not far from Beaumaris and various walking routes each with stunning views of the mountains, the sea and woodland areas. The heating system took a little getting used to but once you got the hang of it, the cottage was lovely and warm.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kellie (9/5): Superb - Beautiful & cosy little cottage. Loved all the thought that had obviously gone into the decor. Made for a very comfortable & enjoyable stay. The location was absolutely spot on for getting out & about for exploring. Can't think of anything!
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - Good location. Comfortable and great base to explore the area. Clean and well equipped. We were expecting a wood burner. We were a little disappointed it had been replaced by an electric fire.
- Emily (10/5): Perfectly located, spotless and wonderful cottage! - This property was amazingly located - perfect for exploring the gorgeous North-East of Anglesy. A quick 2 minute drive to Beaumaris (you could walk in 20/25minutes), where you can get a boat to see puffins, seals and all the lovely wildlife.
The host couldn't have been more welcoming prior to our arrival, and the property was spotless and had everything we needed.
We were a couple with 2 small dogs, but it would easily fit a family or group of 4 too.
Would fully recommend! Nothing could have been better!
- Rebecca (10/5): Luxury cottage, perfect for anyone. - Felt like luxury, really spacious yet so cosy feeling. Super good sleep by everyone and peaceful neighbours. Close to town centre and beach was a bonus. Nothing

- Michael (10/5): This stay felt very much like a home from home. - It was lovely and clean with modern furnishings. With great attention to detail. Everything to hand you could possibly want or need.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location, lots of beautiful walks from the property including a quiet beach nearby & a short drive to Beaumaris. The cottage was a cosy, clean and welcoming base. Décor was lovely, loved the artwork. Well equipped kitchen.
