Shayn (2/5): Worst apartment encountered - Do not stay here. The hosts responded quickly. Clean. Nice fridge. Good heating system. Comfortable bed but uncomfortable sofa bed. This place should not be rented when others have rented the top house. It is unbearably noisy as people walk around upstairs. Also, this is a basement apartment with the very loud boiler in the cupboard, a smell of gas, and a very loud water pipe that for some reason had loud water rushing through it every 1 to 3 minutes. The whole apartment smelt terribly of drains but plugging the sink drains didn't help. It's as if it was coming through the walls. We considered leaving on more than one occasion but over New Years it was hard to book elsewhere. We've just traveled for 7 months and hands down this was the worst apartment experience we had. It's also a 30 minute walk to train station. Be warned! Do not stay here! We only did as Booking.com messed up our original Stamford accommodation and offered us this at short notice.
