The meals were very tasty, the staff was friendly and helpful and the most memorable experience for my son were monkeys on the balcony 🐒 as the hotel is located in the greenery. Moreover, we had a wonderful hotel transfer experience with Hasitha. He was extremely polite, respectful, and never intrusive. During the drive he shared many interesting facts and gave us lots of helpful recommendations for our stay. Most importantly, we felt completely safe and comfortable the whole time. ZHANG (10/5): - Thank you Zaky for providing us such good service! The hotel is nestled in the jungle, offering a fantastic natural environment close to nature, where you can see monkeys and butterflies. The staff are exceptionally warm and helpful, and all speak English. It's only about a 20-minute walk from the entrance to the Cave Temple, offering great value and an excellent experience.

E_H_ (7/5): Lovely staff but overpriced accommodation - Lovely staff and great location close to the Cave Temple. Also a short tuk tuk drive into town for dinner. The pool was very nice to cool down after visiting sites. Overall it was not worth the price. Unfortunately the room was not very clean (floor was dirty) and only 2x 500ml water bottles provided for the entire stay. Overall the place is a bit run down, with many things worn or broken. A shame because the staff really is lovely and the property has a lot of potential.

Carmen (10/5): Unbedingt buchen! - Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Das Dschungelambiente ist wirklich einzigartig und sorgt für eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war einfach mega – frisch, vielfältig und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Unterkunft ist insgesamt außergewöhnlich und hebt sich definitiv von anderen ab. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich nette und aufmerksame Personal. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an Zaky, der unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal extra besonders gemacht hat!

We would reccomend for others to stay. - The pool, the bar, the bed was comfortable, we liked the balcony, staff were lovely and accommodating, we liked the jungle setting. Good location and we got a massage closeby. Monkey coming up aggressive to us on the balcony, we couldn’t get into the pool for 3 hours due to modelling shoot which we were not informed about, tiles around pool were slippery. The music from the bar went late to midnight

Liam (10/5): Geweldig en rustgevend - Het personeel was echt geweldig immens vriendelijk. Siddu en yohann hielpen ons op elke manier dat ze konden. Housekeeping was ook geweldig elke dag een propere en opgeruimde kamer als we terug kwamen in het hotel.

The breakfast included is delicious, and the onsite restaurant offers a great selection of Sri Lankan specialties for lunch or dinner. The hotel is in a perfect, central location to explore the area, and the tours on offer to the local attractions are well setup and well-priced.

Paul (1/5): Don’t trust the photos, ‘Resort’ in state of disrepair - I didn’t like anything anything, other than staff, who were friendly but I felt that was constrained as they had to be as part of their job. I wasn’t comfortable being there. The whole place. From the second we arrived the loosely named ‘resort’ looked in a terrible state of disrepair. The Booking.com photos are not representative of what you see when you are shown around. The room stank of clove cleaning spray that was sprayed throughout the room, so much so that it burned the back of our throats, the bathroom was in need of a good clean and like the rest of the resort was in a state of disrepair that could only be fixed by demolition and refurbishing. I know these comments sound harsh but it is what we saw and hopefully allows the reader to a balanced view when deciding whether to stay. By the way, the water in the pool looked to have a film of dust/slime/ ? across the top of the water and sadly does no longer look anything like the photos

Sabrina (1/5): Hotel wirbt mit Ausstattung, die es nicht gibt, belastet unsere Kreditkarte missbräuchlich und das Personal verhält sich - Das Essen im Restaurant war gut. Wir haben dieses Hotel bewusst gebucht, weil auf der Booking.com-Seite ein Fitnesscenter als vorhandene Einrichtung angegeben war. Für uns war das ein entscheidender Faktor bei der Wahl der Unterkunft. Vor Ort stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass das Fitnesscenter nicht existiert bzw. außer Betrieb ist – entgegen der Darstellung auf Booking.com. Als wir deshalb mit Hilfe das Booking.com-Supports eine Stornierung anfragten, behauptete das Hotel zunächst, keine Anfrage erhalten zu haben. Kurz darauf wurde sie jedoch abgelehnt mit der Begründung, es sei klar ausgewiesen, dass das Fitnesscenter außer Betrieb sei – was auf der Buchungsseite nicht der Fall ist. Besonders irritierend war, dass genau eine Minute nach der von Booking.com gesendeten Stornierungsanfrage unsere Kreditkarte belastet wurde, und zwar mit einem Betrag, der $10 über dem in der Buchungsbestätigung angegebenen Preis liegt. Sehr enttäuschend war zudem das Verhalten des Hotelpersonals. Wir wurden wiederholt herablassend und spöttisch behandelt und unsere machtlose Situation wurde Seitens Personal richtig zelebriert. Eine faire Lösung wurde uns nicht angeboten (abgesehen von einem Abendessen). Unter diesen Umständen wie das Personal mit uns umging kam ein Aufenthalt für uns nicht in Frage. Wir haben die Buchung daher zwar bezahlt, aber nicht eingecheckt und stattdessen kurzfristig ein anderes Hotel gebucht.

Anna (7/5): Nice stay in Dambulla but overcharged - Nice room, free upgrade was offered, very nice restaurant, helpful staff although not all of them speak good English, very good food and perfect breakfast There is some renovation of facility ongoing, sometimes quite noisy. We were also taking sunrise trip to Pidurangala and Sigitiya sold by hotel which was really a disaster. After booking we discussed via chat price 20eur per person and when we arrived they told us this is 30eur per person. It was supposed to be fully guided tour but driver did not accompany us (which was not needed in fact) but for sure this price was completely out of the range you find in Sri Lanka. Finally driver took us to some private spice garden where we were pressured to do shopping with overpriced products. I really recommend that you do not use hotel for any additional arrangements. Have a look at your bill during check out as some strange exchange rate was used even for accommodation.

Het heerlijke balkon met uitzicht op het zwembad . Het fantastische personeel. Iedereen was zo aardig. Het zou beter schoon gemaakt kunnen worden.
Joe (10/5): A truly wonderful stay - A 10/10 breakfast, warm and friendly staff, pool the perfect temperature, ice cold beer, comfy beds with A/C that actually works. Thank you Siddu, Sofia, Ovidi and everyone else for making me feel so welcome. Everyone was so attentive. The music in the restaurant for dinner was a little bit loud but other than that it was a perfect stay!

Rapporto qualità prezzo discreto si può fare di meglio, colazione fantastica, molta varietà e la con la possibilità di scegliere anche i piatti alla carta. I piatti del ristorante sono buoni, ma il rapporto qualità prezzo non è dei migliori, risultando poco economico rispetto ad altri ristoranti turistici nella zona. Pulizia della stanza buona ma la doccia poteva essere più pulita.

Blanka (10/5): Very attentive stuff and superb food at breakfast and the pool bar - The staff was all terrific starting with Siddu at the reception and Tito who graciously carried even the heaviest bags. The room was standard but the view from the balcony was great. The freshly prepared eggs at breakfast were a perfect start to the day and their pool bar/restaurant has the juiciest mango juice and the rice with various curries was a great recommendation from the lovely staff. Gyn unfortunately was under renovation but promised to reopen soon.
Gaelle (5/5): Plutôt correct mais peut trouver mieux - Bien placé à côté de la cave à Dambula. Le personnel est très gentil et aide pour la location de scooter. La Direction est poussive pour laisser un commentaire 5* quitte à demander à prendre votre téléphone et le faire pour vous… petit déjeuner buffet de qualité médiocre mais la partie à la carte est plutôt bonne. Le Manager vient vous parler pendant que vous mangez ou lisez ce qu’on n’apprécie pas min compagnon et moi. Je regrette de ne pas avoir pris de photos mais la porte de notre chambre était endommagée, gros jour entre la porte de balcon et la chambre. Pas de lumière du jour avec la façon dont les rideaux sont mis ce qui est très en deçà du coût du logement comparé à l’ensemble de ce qui se fait au Sri Lanka.

The location is excellent, and we truly felt like we were in the middle of a jungle. Breakfasts were delicious, and the food in the restaurant was outstanding as well. The staff were wonderful — always attentive and genuinely caring about our comfort and overall experience. The pool was very clean, and the room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully kept. We especially loved the balcony with a view of the trees and the pool — such a relaxing atmosphere. We also used the laundry service, which was very convenient — for 5,000 LKR we received a whole bag of fresh, clean laundry. We spent four wonderful nights here and really enjoyed every moment of our stay. Highly recommended! Suggestion for improvement: The prices listed in the menu are shown as net prices. It would be more convenient for guests if the final prices including tax were displayed, as it would make ordering easier. This is not a major issue, but it would definitely improve the overall guest experience.

Diana (7/5): The ideal stopover right next to Dambulla Caves!! - The jungle atmosphere with monkeys playing in the trees above you was fun! The pool bar thatched terrace was a lovely new touch which is currently being extended was great. Nicely lit pool anx very helpful and kind staff. It’s very shaded by the pool so we didn’t really feel like lying there and the pool isn’t heated. The hotel communal toilets desperately need upgrading!! It’s all going to happen soon I feel as work is underway.

Breakfasts were delicuios and dinners were the same. Happy hour at 6.00 followered by dinner was the go. The resort is on the older side and probarly showing it. Howerver its clean and all the staff were the best
Lynn (8/5): - The staff are there thing about this hotel, helpful and knowledgeable. The property itself is undergoing maintenance, was operating as best possible. Good base to visit the local attractions which can all be organised via the concierge.

Hannah (9/5): Very enjoyable stay - Very welcoming. Nice pool. Rooms were very nice and well kept. Music was excellent New Year’s Eve. Food at the hotel was nice and we enjoyed the trips they arranged. Soddy at main reception was very helpful changing money for us and helping arrange anything we needed. Hotel dog Bruno was gorgeous! Music was loud until very late and you could hear it in the rooms very clearly.
Lewis (6/5): For a well priced hotel to visit the Rock Temple it is fine for a night or two. - We liked the location, great for a visit to the rock temple. Staff were friendly. Good value for money. Rooms were tired, played music into the evening that we could hear in our room. Building work was happening into the evening. The prices in the restaurant did not show tax.
Chelsea (4/5): - The pool is nice and breakfast selection was good. Staff were helpful. We booked 3 nights so that we could check in early in the morning and go straight to sleep after our long flight. I emailed twice to confirm but when we got there at 6.30am the room wasn’t ready and we had to wait 2 hours to get into a room. We were then put in a worse room than we’d booked and this meant the stay was a little disappointing. They did give us some money off our food and drinks bill as a gesture but overall it was not the best value for money for us.

ORIOL (7/5): - La ubicación, el trato del personal y la opción de desayuno srilankes. Hay muchas zonas en obras. La zona de la barra de la piscina y su terraza están totalmente en obras. Hay espacios inservibles y a medio finalizar que se encuentran abiertos.

Cristina (9/5): Very nice hotel. Take family room if possible. - Location, jungle vibe, they upgraded us to family room. Service was awesome, breakfast very good. The second night we moved to a room in the big block (3rd floor), with facilities in the bathroom that were partly working.

Belinda (10/5): - Lovely location next to the amazing Dambulla cave temples . Accommodation away from road in lush green gardens with pool. Staff incredibly helpful and attentive . They organised trip to Sigiriya Rock with great driver . Lovely food , huge breakfast , great selection .
