- Amandine (10/5): - The terrace you get right outside your room is amazing. It was raining for the first two days we were here and the roofed terrace meant we could admire the rice terraces anyway.
- Martina G. (8/5): Would recommend! - Nice family hosting, especially Yan and Roni, two amazing guys! Had a great time and they were very accomodating, especially with the tours. Breakfast is very good, and they offer lunches and dinners at very good prices (around 40K). The view in the mornings is just next level Bathroom could definitely be improved

- Dylan (8/5): Very good -
- Nikoletta (6/5): Pleasant - Very nice view over rice fields. The breakfast was very nice and great quantity. Good loction close to warungs, small shops.
The family was friendly and helpful-but see exception below Single wome-Be ware
The man who dealt with me looked at me sexually in a very cringe way, 50% of the time he spoke to me he was holding his genitals in his hand. It felt terrible. I am not saying his its dangerous as the whole family lives there but it makes you feel very uneasy and its not what you need when teaveling alone in a foreign country. This has never happened before and first time I experience something like this in Indonesia.
They speak very limited English so communication is difficult.
- Aitor (10/5): The best place in Tetebatu - Everything! Incredible place, incredible coffee and breakfast. The family is lovely, the best experience in Tetebatu. We took a cooking class with them and it was like being with family. Everything was very clean, very friendly and they help you with anything. Nothing, I want come there again
- Sara (9/5): Great stay with an amazing view - Very relaxing rice fields surroundings, great view of Rinjani, good breakfast, great hosts. You have the option to get lunch and dinner too. Close to the waterfall and the rice field walk. The toilet does not have a sink, but it was not a big problem for us.
- Avril (10/5): Amazing - Everyone was super nice to me, they took me for a tour in the rice field that was amazing and got to see amazing waterfalls ! They also showed me how they transform the coffee beans into coffee and it was really interesting. Also the food was super super good, and they will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Finally, the view is definitely one of the best I had : view on the rice fields with mount rinjani in the background and a very nice sunrise if you wake up early ! I definitely recommend it ! Nothing
- Chii (8/5): Recommended Accomodation for Solo Travellers to Tetebatu. Value for Money - Value for money. Guests will need to manage expectations.
The view from outside the room was beautiful. You can see crops, rice field and Rinjani. You can sit outside the room all day.
Water, tea and coffee were provided. Towels were provided for showering.
Friendly and helpful host. Host brought me around Tetebatu. He gave contacts for transportation to next destination and for hiking Mount Sangkareang.
Host provided me hangars to dry my laundry. You can hang your laundry outside your room.
Location is near start point for hiking Mount Sangkareang so you do not need to wake up so early in the firsy day and you will be back in your accomodation in no time after the hike is completed.
Meals at additional cost at homestay.
There are restaurants with tasty and afforable food nearby. Would recommend to visit one of these Room might be too small for couples and only has one power outlet. As a solo traveller the size is alright.
Toilet is outside of the room and rudimentary and come with no mirror, no basin and flush. No shelter to toilet.
Despite these, it is value for money.
Not along main road, you will need to go down the main road. Google maps directions are inaccurate. Contact host for directions before coming
- Sarah (7/5): Good - Clean and really well located hostel, the view from the terace is wonderful! The owner absolutely wanted me to do the tours with him, said we can't go around and visit alone and can be too insistant.
- Marilyn (8/5): The best view of Rinjani - The best location - such an amazing view of Rinjani and the rice fields.
The accommodation is basic - two bedrooms that share a terrace, a separate shared loo/shower down some steps. It's basic but was clean. None of this matters though as the view is astonishing, and great location for walks in the nearby area. Food also delicious, and hosts on hand for anything you need.
- Ratna (6/5): The first question they asked "are you married?" - Beautiful spot for sunrise We are 3 friends traveling together (two females one male), the very first question they asked is if we're married (I'm not sure if they gonna ask the same to foreigner though).
The bathroom is outside below the rooms which is hard to access in the middle of the night as it's sooo dark.
Three different people keep on coming and check on us, I guess try to make conversation but in a weird way. The access wasn't easy specially when during rainy season could be slippery.
- Damien (10/5): Exceptional - All the family are so nice and welcoming.... They did my laundry, dropped me everywhere with scooter, invited me to local ceremony,... We visited all the area and also diferent places for handycraft. All of this was not fixed price, just give what you think correct because they do it with the heart and that s the most important. You feel really integrated
- Anaritamir (7/5): Good - The room was comfortable and the view is amazing.
Close to town so you can wonder around on your own. They sell it as an ensuite but it is a little shared toilet, downstairs, with very cold water.
You are a bit misleaded into their tours without much explanation or aware of prices. Everything you do with the host will obviously have a price. So a simple "do you want to visit a village" it is not just a welcoming invitation, you'll find yourself in an actual tour, where you'll be taken to several sites....
For all this i decide to check out sooner, i wasn't comfortable there anymore after we had to actually repeatedly ask to go home and show we were not interested in the tour.
