Jacquelin (10/5): Lovely apartment made for a wonderful stay in beautiful Makarska - Property was just as described. Excellent communication with hosts and very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean, airy and cosy. The glass doors can open fully to feel more like an open balcony. Great view of the sea from sunrise to sunset and all evening long. Communal washing machine came in handy. Everything was close by - shopping including a shopping mall, grocery stores, attractions like the Malacological Museum, sports centre, restaurants, and beach. Old Town was nearby as well with a wonderful Fisherman’s Night on Mondays. Overall, a great vacation spot! The uphill climb when returning from any outing. Although my legs are more toned now, so maybe it wasn’t so bad? Wifi sometimes was a bit spotty. The bed was a bit soft (I prefer a firmer mattress) but that may be too subjective.

During the stay we did scuba diving at More Sub diving centre, and visited many restaurants recommended by the host. The host was very helpful, answered all our questions, and even arranged transportation for us. We’re especially grateful for the excellent service when we forgot our passports in the apartment – thank you again for your help!

Beaches are also close and local shops as well. The apartment looks like in the picture. It is really clean and view is beautiful from the patio. There is nothing.

The view from the balcony is so beautiful, especially at sunset. We met the host and she was very kind. It was a little further from the beach than expected. However, we learned to enjoy the quiet and the extra little exercise home.

The balcony was too hot to use comfortably. The mattress was lower than the wooden bed frame. It was a tough climb back from the sea in the heat.

Béla (10/5): Perfect choice for those who like cleanliness and quiet surroundings. - The apartment is a little higher up the hill, but still below the main road 8. I can recommend it to people who don't have a problem getting up the hill 2-3 times a day, either on foot or by car. I am not aware of free parking near the beaches in Makarska. We mostly walked to the beach. Towards the end of the week it was getting a bit tiring in the heat, so in the mornings I would take the family and beach stuff down by car, drop them off at the beach, take the car back to the apartment and walk down on my own. The accommodation was exactly as described and the photos are a true reflection of reality. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and young furnished. We were greeted by the smell of cleanliness. We were welcomed by an elderly lady who handed over the keys and showed us around. From then on no one bothered us. For me and my wife the bed was uncomfortable because we are used to hard mattresses, but that is subjective. Others may prefer softer.

Mert (10/5): Wonderful apartment near the beach. - The Owners were very friendly, the rooms were clean. We had everything we needed. Perfect stay for a couple.
Dragos (4/5): Nice location but rude owners, avoid. - Nicely decorated room, clean bathroom, nice terrace with sea view. A small kitchen with everything you need. Quiet area, free parking on the premises. The hosts! Checkout is at 9.30 AM (!). Of course we didn't notice as it is highly unusual and at 10 AM the owner came to our door and yelled at us very rudely to get out. When I asked for 15 more minutes, she said: "No, you need to get out now, as we see you have packed your bags already and you're eating breakfast on the balcony." (they spied on us). Eventually we agreed on 10 more minutes but is was a very unpleasant experience on our vacation on an otherwise nice location.

István (7/5): That's OK for 2-3 nights. - The small (25 sqm) apartment is on the hillside, in an apartment house, very close (5 mins walk) to the old town. There are beautiful views of the port and the mountains from the balcony, which is just enough to eat breakfast for 2. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom and especially the shower cabin are very small. I am 1,80 cm and 90 kgs but the cabin was full of me, I couldn't even turn around. Yours and neighbor's bath windows are open directly to the balcony. You can arrive later (16:00-) than the normal time. We asked - in e-mail - that, can we arrive earlier because we were in the city at noon. The answer was positive, but in reality, she sent a message 10 mins before 4 p.m. that the flat is ready. The local host (owner's mother) speaks only Croatian, but she shows everything. The communication level needs to improve.
