Guest Reviews
- gökhan (4/5): - Good location. Heating system was a problem. This was a business trip and I asked for an invoice several times. Still could not receive one...
- JP Titus (10/5): -
- JohnK (4/5): - The location was quite good, although quite noisy with the windows open (a must in warmer weather). It had laundry facilities. Nowhere to leave luggage before 3pm check-in.
Toilet seat was falling off, top vanity drawer in the bathroom was broken.
No fans for ventilation/ cooling.
No extra or choice of bed pillow - just 2 very soft and thin ones.
Kitchen floor was very dirty.
- Balakrishnan (10/5): - Centrally located and clean. Owner is reachable. Thanks to Mr Nikhil. - Ventilation in bathroom not working.
- Cooling ventilator should be installed for hot summer days.
- Windows were dirty.
- Ruth (1/5): Never again - It had a roof Dirty
Noisy
Awful
- Chris (9/5): Great location for train station, good clean accommodation - Close to station and food outlets Noisy at night due to takeaways outside on the street
- David (3/5): Adequate but marred by the host’s lack of contact ability - It was clean, adequately furnished, with a comfortable bed and settee and an adequately equipped kitchen. It was in generally good decorative order and in a very central location. The toilet seat was broken and the plug in the wash hand basin didn’t work. The contact number for the host didn’t respond to texts (about the toilet problem) throughout my stay 23-27 December); had there been a serious problem or emergency there appeared to be no way of contacting the host.
- Margi (10/5): Pleasant! - The location was perfect as everything we were interested in was close. Thursday and Friday nights were a bit loud as parting people were moving on the streets. But it wasnt big deal for us. We loved to be in the centre of the life. The studio flat was spacy, we didn’t expect that, also clean and modern - one painting with the cow portrait was really cool. Clear instructions were given so we cheked in and out without meeting anyone in person. We missed net curtains (or any other relevant window cover) for a better privacy in day time.
- Abiola (8/5): Very good - Spacious and clean room and right in the centre and close to the station. The entrance was not very clean, litters of paper and old letters , a bit difficult to locate room and carry suitcase up the staicase, however the keybox was easy to access .
- Lamar (10/5): An amazing and comfortable experience, my every need was taken care of. - The cleaning service was great, they came once a week to clean the apartment. I felt very safe as there were multiple locks to get to the apartment. It was also a 2minute walk to the train station, so convenient! I don't have any complaints. Everything i could possibly need was there.
- Eromosei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asif (10/5): Exceptional -
- Britney (10/5): Convenient spot, super helpful staff. Couldn’t have chose a better place. - Spacious, clean and surrounded by restaurants. Maybe add a fan.
- Gpie (9/5): Superb - Location is great. 1 min from the train station and town centre. It's on the same street as the main takeaway restaurants so can get noisy very late at night but only at the weekend. Midweek is absolutely fine.
- Katia (1/5): Bring ear plugs and hope for a couple hours of sleep! - The large studio was clean apart from the floors and underneath the bed. Comfortable bed and the building itself was quiet. I appreciate this studio is in the town centre but the CONSTANT noise was something I have never come across anywhere else. Not even in NYC!!!! At 5:00 AM the 24/7 McDonald’s opposite the studio gets their food deliveries. A huge truck pulls up and spends about 40 minutes unloading. At 6:00 AM another truck turns up sweeping the streets, a guy with a noisy blower to clean the pavements arrives with the truck. At 7:00 AM the UBER EAT drivers pull up right outside the studio’s window. About 15 of them. They park in a long line and are there until midnight. All talking on their phone in Portuguese, watching YouTube on their phones and talking in a very loud manner. The street where the studio is has MANY take away places and lots of people passing to get to or from town. Cars passing with their blasting music (in the night as well), motorbikes, car alarms and people standing smoking outside from the nearby barber shop. Kids screaming and shouting and in the night fights break out, drunk people pass out, drunk people scream and shout in the street. The noise is 24/7 and even with the windows closed one can hear them. I ran out of there screaming and have never experienced anything like it. It was like staying in the ghetto in Harlem, NY!!!! Only that Harlem is less noisy. There was not a moment where there was no noise. There is no dining room table in the studio and only one chair and 2 flat pillows and a small ‘double’ bed. OK for one person but 2 people would struggle staying there. No window blinds so the people in the building opposite can look straight into the studio. No privacy. The boiler in the bathroom made a lot of noise at times. The WI-FI connection was unstable. The toilet seat was broken and the entire one side of it was loose and I fell off it a couple of times. No clothes rack to dry the clothes, no bathroom shelf or anywhere to put toiletries, no fan. The skirt boards in the kitchen were loose and broken. The host ignored my messages.
- Md (10/5): Exceptional - Excilant location. Good atmosphere Very comfortable
- Alan (10/5): A very Merry Christmas & Happy New year, warm, cosy and just perfect. - The Beautiful studio was centrally placed with everything within a short walking distance!
The studio was super clean & tidy with every aspect thought of in advance, from instant coffee to washing up liquid. The Hosts were easy to contact if needed and everything worked as it should.
I’ve stayed all over the world and this little place was a real Gem 💎 of a find.
Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Alan Everything was awesome!
- Joanna (10/5): Lovely studio apartment! Highly recommend! - Excellent location, lots of shops and restaurants around there. Very nice and clean, easy to find.
- Bennett (9/5): A nice experience for a short stay. - Very convenient place. Easy to access. Well equipped and clean. Nothing at that moment.
- Gpie (10/5): Highly recommended - Exceptionally clean. All fixtures, fittings and furniture brand new. Very convenient location. It's on a busy street with lots of takeaways and shops so I couldn't really have the windows open late in the evening as it gets quite noisy but the soundproofing is excellent and you can't hear anything outside with the windows shut.
