• Sander (8/5): Next time I visit Accra, I will certainly book this Hotel again. - The hotel is located close to the airport. The staff is very kind and very good in giving services. They are very responsive they reply quickly when you send an email or give a call. The rooms are good and clean. They also offer transportation, which is very convenient. not a big issue: the fact that you need to take the stairs to reach the second floor. There is no elevator available.

When booking online you should see the room you are getting the picture was different than what I got so I bit surprised . Jamima and Stephanie were great . Jamima did her best to update my length of stay as I had to leave earlier than expected due to being ill . Thanks ladies !!!

• Mikel (3/5): Poor - 10 years ago it was decent. They had a pool and a decent menu. Everything looks dated and it could do with a lick of paint. Very overpriced compared to what is now available in Accra. We booked for 2 nights but had to leave after the first. For the price, a swimming pool is a must. The menu is very limited for vegetarians and has nothing for vegans. You need to evolve with your time. This is a sub standard venue now.
• Baljit (10/5): Very pleased and will come back - This hotel surprised me. The service was excellent. The staff very quickly knew who we were and remembered our room names. The extra effort made by the staff was well noted and I have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels in Ghana and other Countries in Africa. This was far the best experience and we will definitely stay again. Breakfast was made to order and cooked well and good selection. Lunch menu was only average. Lunch selection was average for a western palate.

• Irrainia (8/5): The hotel that charged me twice - The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean They charged me twice for a room, and the price wasn't worth it. They pertained to refunding my money to my account, but my bank said they didn't see the transaction. I've been home for over a week and they went into my account again and the bank is charging them with fraud. These people are thieves and liars. I suggest going to a hotel chain you can trust.

• Karma (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was welcoming but I had several issues arise during my stay. The safe was broke and they weren’t able to assist for hours, i almost missed my flight because the safe stop working and the master wouldn’t open it. I had to wait for 3 hours until someone with the other key came. I also had money and jewelry come up missing they said they were going to do an investigation it has been two weeks and still have not heard from them.

• Brenda (7/5): All in all, pleasant stay, quiet location, lovely staff. - The location was great, its a beautiful charming place. its cozy. The junior suite i stayed in was lovely. The staff were very helpful, responsive and honest. Great team. We also had forgotten some items in the room on check out and they alerted us. When i checked in, they upgraded me to an executive room. Unfortunately the room was not clean, actually i think it had not been used for a while and had accumulated dirt in one of the corners. I raised a complaint and they promptly changed me to a junior suite (what i had booked) which was awesome. Secondly, the quoted breakfast charge is 220 Cedis, however the bill was 292! Too many taxes not declared. It would be great if the total cost of breakfast (including) taxes is declared upfront.

• Toyosi (1/5): A nightmare - I booked this hotel four months prior to my stay. I arrived at the hotel, and they told us our room was given away and all books were full. They proceeded to say they will take us to their sister hotel and we’d have to pay the same price. It was very disappointing to say the least. Beware!! If you get a room at a great rate off Booking.com they’ll give your room away to someone who’ll pay more! Never booking a stay here again.

Don't expect the world of the restaurant. - We loved the location, in a safe area and with a few good quality shops for essentials in the neighborhood. Our room was spacious with good airconditioning and a roomy bathroom. The service was good too. The breakfast was average and frankly below standard for a first class venue like Monticello. Average supermarket bread. No fresh juices. The breakfast in the bakery around the corner was much better. The restaurant may serve an excellent dinner by local standards, those who expect European style fine dining may be disappointed. The layout of the restaurant is not ideal, the space is way to large for the limited number of tables.
