• Tepivai (10/5): An absolutely exceptional stay, beautiful accommodation, outstanding hospitality, and a truly memorable experience from - I originally booked this apartment for my own family, however our plans changed and my brother and his family stayed for three nights instead. They could not speak highly enough of their experience. From the stunning views to the beautiful furnishings, everything was immaculate. They described it as the best accommodation they have ever stayed in while visiting Coffs Harbour. My brother mentioned the apartment was perfect — it had absolutely everything they needed, was conveniently located, and felt welcoming and comfortable throughout their stay. His wife and two children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. He also shared how lovely it was meeting Kathy and her husband. He said they were incredibly warm, kind and delightful hosts, and they truly appreciated the genuine conversations and hospitality shown to them. Thank you so much, Kathy, for your wonderful hospitality. We would highly recommend your beautiful apartment to anyone visiting Coffs Harbour. I have no doubt that if I had stayed myself, I would have absolutely loved it too.

• VO (9/5): Home away from home, with a view and a deck, and even a friendly cat who comes to visit - I liked the location of the place, it's close enough to walk to get dinner and groceries, yet tucked away on a quiet street off the main area that has the stores, pub, & good selection of restaurants (some of which we tried and liked). Miss Kathy went above and beyond to put fresh bread, butter and jam in our unit. She also spent time with me giving me a rundown of the area, the best hikes/walks to take, the best views, which markets to go to, etc. It was really kind of her and it made my stay really special. The unit has everything you need, is spacious, and there are views to the bay, we loved having breakfast out on the deck at the table set up out there, we even had a ginger cat come and keep us company for some of the meals. Getting to the door of the unit is down a private slopped driveway and if you happen to be dropping off or picking up bags in your car, it can be a point of contention if the owner of the private drive happens to be returning. I was told that one person ruined it for everyone by using the driveway outside of this requested limitation, such a shame. Either way, there's plenty of street parking and plenty of lighting. The only other thing that was a little concerning is that there are 2 locked doors inside the apartment leading to who knows where? That made me feel a little on edge until I met the owners, who live upstairs, & who made the effort to come and say "hello" (with Miss Kathy being in a wheelchair after an accident, that's what I call a huge effort). What can I say? I'm on edge more for what's in America than what's in Australia. We would absolutely love to stay again, we loved the place, we felt super safe, & it felt like home away from home. Thanks for letting us stay!

Welcomed with fresh bread with condiments (and chocolate). Lovely notes to accompany our stay and fresh flowers throughout. The attention to detail is wonderful. Attentive and friendly hosts. No air conditioning but the fans were all we needed plus the ocean breeze.

• Karen (10/5): Stunning beach side, ocean view house. Perfect for young families - Beautiful beach side style home, clean, spacious, bright and great for the young kids. The host was very considerate and accommodating. Kathy and Harvey thought of everything to make our stay very enjoyable. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a welcome note, wifi details, a fridge stocked with some fresh bread, milk, butter, jam and cereal. Not to mention, they included extra towels, laundry powder, tea and coffee options, a few toys, books, board games and even a baby bath too! All these extra touches make Kathy and Harvey’s home feel very welcoming and comfortable. We loved having all our meals on the porch while looking out at the ocean and watching the sunset. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us- we definitely felt like it was our home away from home! We also loved the location- close to a lot of good cafes and there is a park/ access to Jetty beach (approx 8 mins walk or 2 min drive) which was perfect for young kids. Plenty of other family friendly activities including the botanical gardens, iplay ten pin bowling and the local swimming pool is located about 10 mins drive - it has a small water play area for toddlers and heated indoor and outdoor pools. The property only has street parking and you need to walk down the driveway to access the property. Kathy and Harvey were very accommodating- they allowed us to park in their drive way while they were away.

• Anita (10/5): Fabulous - Absolutely beautiful apartment with an amazing view. Not far from restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Our host Kathy was very accommodating and we loved the homely touches within the apartment, e.g. fresh flowers. Also it was great to arrive late in the afternoon and there was fresh bread, butter, milk and condiments available so we didn’t need to go out shopping straight away. Beautiful deck outside to take in the view. Also loved that there was a washing machine and a line outside to dry clothes on. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom a really good size - also heaps of storage. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

• Suzanne (7/5): Close to Jetty Beach and its restaurant strip - The apartment is a tastefully renovated and reasonably well-equipped granny flat underneath the owners' home. Pedestrian access is via a short but steep driveway with no handrail. There is no onsite parking for the apartment so you need to be fit and able to carry luggage up and down the driveway. Cars from a quite separate house use the driveway and carport in front of the apartment throughout the day. There is also quite a lot of noise overhead from the owners' uncarpeted floors. So it was not as quiet and private as we had hoped. However, the location is excellent - close to a cluster of cafes, restaurants and local shops as well as Jetty Beach. Inside, the apartment is bright and airy, with a good view of Muttonbird Island. It contains most facilities, although not a clothes dryer, which was a problem as we were there in wet, humid weather and the owner was herself using the apartment's clothes line when we arrived. There's no air conditioning (though ceiling fans), which could make for uncomfortable nights in high summer, especially in the back bedroom, which has only a small side window. Instructions inside about the wifi were incorrect but the owner responded promptly to our query. When we arrived after a long day's driving, the front door lock was broken and the tradesman responsible for fixing it had gone off to another job, so we did not start our stay in the best of circumstances. To their credit, once they saw our discomfiture, the owners sped up the repair job so we were able to unpack and settle in within a couple of hours. The kerfuffle when we arrived - that there appeared to be no urgency about getting the lock fixed (reliance on a family friend for urgent repairs seemed unprofessional), that the internal door was wide open in the second bedroom, and that the owner and a tradesman accessed the apartment via this internal entrance while all this was going on. It was also off-putting to find that the owner was using the apartment's clothes line to dry towels when we arrived. But even when the line was free for us to use, nothing dried out there. The line gets almost no direct sun. The unit needs a clothes dryer. The sheets on in the main bedroom had seen better days.

It felt very homely. The view over the jetty beach was breathtaking. Kathy the host made us feel very welcome through messages and in person. The apartment was well located walking distance to the jetty. Marina, a small supermarket, a gym and a bustling cafe strip. We loved our stay there and think it is an ideal place to base yourself for a holiday exploring Coffs Harbour and surrounds. If I had to pick something it would be the lack of private parking, however there was plenty on road spaces and it was only a short walk down a slight incline to get to the apartment. We were made fully aware of this by the post prior to arriving.

Once inside, you will be delighted with a beautifully decorated and spotless cottage like vibe. Breakfast items are available, which is just lovely. However, you are in walking distance to some delicious cafes. The only time I was sad about my stay was when it was time to leave. I highly recommended your next stay in Coffs to be here 😊

Location is good and unit was nice and clean Parking is a bit of a pain on the street but main issues for us were the neighbours/owners washing on drying racks right outside our bedroom window and the cleaner turning up half hour before check out and starting to sweep outside our front door which made us feel rushed to leave. Young children running around on the upper level woke us up each morning as well. Hand written notes through the unit asking us to wipe down shower screens after each use etc were a bit over the top. Not sure whether it was a glitch in the booking system but I was receiving daily messages to tell me the same thing which was also annoying

• Robyn (10/5): A beautifully presented, large comfortable apartment with a great host who provides heaps of extras - The apartment was beautifully presented, comfortable, clean, well located with a really pleasant outlook, free wifi and the host provided lots of extras including some breakfast foods and other useful things for cooking if you wished to use them, fresh flowers throughout the apartment with some others delivered during our stay, regular messages to make certain we were enjoying our stay. A bit of noise transfer between our apartment and the one next door although not overly disturbing - a toddler who wasn't overly happy a lot of the time. - and regular trains passing on the rail line down the hill.
• Sara (10/5): Cosy apartment in a convenient location - The apartment is beautifully furnished and clean. The size of the apartment was much bigger than expected. We booked as a couple but could definitely imagine a family of 4 being comfortable in the space. Kathy was an excellent host and added extra touches to make our stay that little more comfortable and welcoming. The only thing we didn't like was that there was a gentleman doing gardening and maintenance outside the front windows on a Sunday afternoon while we were there. Kathy wasn't home at the time and I imagine she would have asked him to stop if we'd been bothered enough to say anything. He wasn't intruding just noisy as you'd expect from gardening.
