- Ash (8/5): Prima hotel. Aanrader voor vriendenuitje of zo. Niet voor gezin. - Veel ruimte. Alles schoon. Goede kwalitei materialen. Goede service. Mooie inrichting. Handig klein supermarkt in het hotel. Lokatie was prima. Genoeg eettentjes in de buurt. Zwembad ver beneden de maat. Niet geschikt voor familie. Erg jammer. Wifi deed het niet of was extreem langzaam. Vrij duur als je ook nog geen gebruik maakt van het zwembad.

Is between ring road 3 and 4 so is a bit further out from the main attractions such as the Forbidden Palace. The traffic in Beijing made it a long journey if travelling by car. - Lei (7/5): so lala - Gute Lage, bequeme Parkmöglichkeiten. Je öfter ich hier übernachte, desto mehr Probleme entdecke ich. 1. Das Personal sagt die Unwahrheit. Man hat mir einen Parkplatz gegeben, aber er lag in einer Ecke, schwer zu parken und leicht, das Auto zu verkratzen. Einmal stand mein Auto nicht ganz gerade, und der Mann an der Rezeption rief mich an und log, ich würde den Parkplatz nebenan blockieren. Ich habe fünf Tage hier gewohnt, und kein einziges Mal hat dort jemand geparkt. Wenn es Probleme gibt, sollte man ehrlich sein – das ist ein weit verbreitetes Problem bei vielen Chinesen. 2. Die Badewanne war nicht sauber. Schon nach einem einzigen Bad bekam ich einen Hautausschlag. Ist das nicht gefährlich für die Gäste? 3. Der Pool im Untergeschoss (Etage -1) ist auch für externe Besucher geöffnet. Externe Gäste sollten einen separaten Eingang benutzen und nicht die Hotelgäste beeinträchtigen.

- SHAHAF (8/5): an OK place. - serviced apartment. had an executive one bedroom. very large 130 square meters. laundry-drying machine. good water flow in shower. location is good if you know what you want in china. for us was to avoid the traffic of the inner rings and that was a good location in south-east. some convenience stores and restaurants are walking distance. good experience for a more calm chinese vibes and less of the center tourist bubble (which to some extent is good exactly for that reason). gave us an air purifier upon request. a bit old. dusty. we had to change an apt due to smoke smell at one apartment. expensive, though the size compensates for the price in our case. staff barely has English, so if you cant speak chinese and dont feel comfortable using your (or their) translation app it may be an uncomfortable point for you. you need to know how to travel by DIDI (chinese uber) to have an easy life. that or a car rental and risk driving in china...

- SHAHAF (9/5): Great stay at the Ascott - Staff is highly attentive and quick to respond even though they mostly lack english. They accommodate well enough. Large serviced apartment. South eadt side, which is good. Not in the center bubble yet close enough to reach even with traffic. Quiet. Free parking. Feel at home Room was stuffy. Though after complaining staff re-dusted and cleaned and brought air purifier, which solved the issue. A lot of switches.. may be far for some tourists. Less foreigner oriented than in city center but highly attentive non-the-less, which covers for it well.

- Nikkayla (8/5): A beautiful suite for a short stay! - The building and lobby were very beautiful and clean. Our room was also clean and very modern. We were unaware that there were stairs to the second room and with 3 out of 4 members of the party having mobility issues, it was a struggle with the stairs. The suite was very big and homely and we all really loved it. Some staff were really lovely and helpful, but some seemed hostile. This may be due to the language barrier as the staff knew very little or no English. The translating apps did not always help. There was also a restaurant and shop on site which was great as sometimes you cannot be bothered to go far, so having them there was great. Ordering taxis to and from the hotel was super easy, with no problems with finding the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t great and there was little selection. As mentioned previously there was a language barrier and some staff seemed hostile and unwilling to help.

Although half the food items were not available on the Saturday or Sunday before checking out even though there was still an hour left until they close. Also, have an option of scrambled eggs or an omelet as I do not eat boiled or fried eggs. Also have more selection than Chicken sausages everyday. Maybe a beef or pork every few days. Pool. Being indoors, you would think that the pool would be heated. After finished in the pool, to get to and from the showers, you have to walk through shower water which is no good when you have just dried yourself. Also, the showers need better doors/screens and the whole shower area is desperately in need of a really good clean and repairs from floor to ceiling. (that is the male side. not sure on the state of the female side) Also no where to sit on the balcony. A table and a couple of chairs would be ideal. Floor inside and out of the apartment (balcony) was very dirty.

- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to a shopping centre and restaurants.
