• Naman (7/5): Location n management is good but the facilities are not good - - 6 Bed No AC - 10 Bed AC we accidentally booked the non AC one, but the management was kind enough to move us to the AC dorms at no extra cost. We also requested them for a football match screening late at night and they accepted. Few things I did not like - AC dorm room does not have any fans(ceiling or bedside), during the day it is impossible to sleep and at night it is barely manageable. Any dorm should have a ceiling fan, it’s a small thing. For a 10 bed dorm, it had 1 AC, our beds were near the AC so it was okay but I think it will be not be the case towards the other end of the room. - The AC in the restaurant, which had a pool table, was barely functional.

• Gaëlle (10/5): A home away from home - I was supposed to stay 4 days and I stayed 2 weeks. It feels like home. The hostel is situated between Palolem and Patnem, walkable distance from everything. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Loy who really tries his best to make your stay comfortable. He also has a lot of board games which makes easy to meet other people from the hostel and the restaurant. This is not a party hostel but a fun and friendly place where it is nice to hang out and meet likeminded people. The vegetarian and vegan restaurant just in front offers delicious meals (a bit expensive but it worths the price). The cleaning could be better (dust, ants, etc) but there was already some improvement during my stay. Also I have my own sleeping bag liner but the duvet doesn’t have a cover and it doesn’t seem to be washed often.
• Christian (10/5): Excellent value - a community style stay - The room was very stylish and super clean. The staff upgraded me to an A/C room even though I'd booked a fan room. I liked the location - a short walk from Palolem, and a 15 minute walk to Palolem. But the biggest pull was the community there - Loy was an amazing host and made my visit memorable. All in all, I'd highly recommend this if you're staying in Palolem.

• Alisha (10/5): Best Hostel experience - Bibhitaki hostel is a truly wonderful hostel! My experience here was exceptional. The hosts are incredibly warm and helpful, always ready to assist with anything you need. They make you feel completely comfortable and at home. Their hospitality is amazing. You just have to try it once to feel the difference! Thank you, Bibhitaki team, for making my stay so pleasant. I will definitely come again and spend much more time here.
• Rayan (7/5): - The location is perfect, the place is cozy, and the staff are incredible — especially Loy. He’s a great guy with an amazing personality and very helpful. There are some serious issues. The blankets don’t seem to be washed; only the sheets are changed while the same blankets are reused. Also, there are rats everywhere, especially at night — you can see them in the reception, the bar, and even running over the ceiling, which is very uncomfortable. Overall, hostels in this area are generally quite bad, so compared to the others, this is probably the best option available so far — but it still needs major improvements.

• Stamenkovic (8/5): Warm, welcoming and chill. If the stay is okay, the stuff makes the whole experience even better. - Friendly and professional staff. There’s a guy named Loy there that change the whole experience of the stay. Very kind, helpful and knows the best spots around. If youre traveling alone don’t worry, you’ll never feel alone. The food is also good and healthy. For the dorm price is 100% worth it! No curtains,

De female dorm was schoon en netjes. De binnenplek voelde als een gezellige woonkamer; gasten kwamen daar samen voor een kop koffie of een spelletje. Het personeel was echt ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Loy weet alle mooie en goede plekken in de buurt en neemt je het liefst overal mee naar toe. Heel leuk!

• André (5/5): Disappointing - Common area with cool people to hangout in one of the days. Reasonably priced beer. This hostel is terribly managed. The room smelled like mold and humidity, because they don't open the windows because of the mosquitos. Despite this, the mosquitoes still are there. I'm almost sure they don't change the sheets, as they were smelling bad. Had a terrible first night of sleep there. I regret booking two nights. Also because they have a restaurant, you cannot eat meals from outside there. Fortunately they opened an exception for the food I brought from home.

What truly makes this hostel shine, though, are the people. I met some of the most wonderful, open-minded travelers from all over the world, and we shared so many stories and laughs. The staff are the heart and soul of the place – they're not just employees, they feel like friends.

• aflah (4/5): - The owner of the property is a good guy who knows how to talk to the guests and the cleaning didi named Sweety made the one night stay a bit better. I booked my stay for one night but the staff at the reception was not at all welcoming, a bit rude, and made the atmosphere feel a bit cold.

• Rucha (6/5): A calming, soulful experience with warm people, aesthetic food, and a homely vibe—I’d love to return - The staff was extremely polite and kind, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the vegan food was delicious and beautifully presented. The women’s dorm didn’t have an AC or even a single ceiling/portable fan—only small individual fans, which didn’t really help in the hot weather. Especially since other dorms had AC, even a simple standing fan would have made a big difference.

• Harshala (10/5): Great long term stay for solo women travelers. - Bibhitaki is a peaceful hostel and safe for solo women travelers. I felt almost like home as the rooms were cleaned daily. I chose female dorm which does not have AC - but it feels good at night with every bed having a personal fan and reading light. The beach is nearby and there are multiple options for food in the locality if you want a break from vegan menu. The staff is also proactive polite, and helpful - ensuring everything is taken care of. Overall, a great long stay, and my days passed by quickly! There are power cuts sometimes, but that is around the area and causes minor inconveniences. There is no space to do yoga or yoga mats are not available - these would be a good addition as many yoga enthusiasts come to the hostel. There is a bit of a mosquito issue but they provide odomos and incense sticks to deal with them. Overall, these are minor stuff that one can overcome.
