• Marli (5/5): - The staff are friendly. There isn't proper management. With the way things are going the place will probably shut down in the next year or so. The owners probably need a better manager. Place has dirt on walls and fans, breakfast was cold and they don't know how to make coffee. Breakfast took forever.

There was hot water. Took ages to check in even though there was no line. First room stunk of smoke and was dirty. Another room was offered. It also smelled of smoke, but not as bad. The bathroom tap was broken. The room was dirty. The bed was not comfortable. WiFi did not work. No soap was provided. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. If I had arrived at the accomodation earlier, I would have made a plan to stay somewhere else. Unfortunately, I arrived in the evening and there was no time to find somewhere else. When I complained to the owner/manager, he said that they "do not allow smoking". I asked for a full refund. He said that they do not give refunds. I submitted a cancelation request and then he offered a 50% discount. I asked for a full refund and in exchange, I would not leave a review or the review would be slightly better on account of his helpfulness. He said that he would no longer offer a refund as he doesn't like threats and proceeded to threaten me by saying that "reviews can be done both ways". I look forward to his review. He was rude in how he handled the situation. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

• Jackie (7/5): It’s perfect for one night stay, it’s clean and the reviews are harsh. The place really is good. - Very close to the hospital which is where I needed to be (4 min drive to be exact). Honestly the reviews are really harsh for this place - it really was good. It was clean and had everything you need. WiFi was good. Tv worked fine. Driver the receptionist was very helpful. My only criticism would be the breakfast really isn’t great. It’s perfect for the night. The breakfast really isn’t great.

BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED IN MY STAY WHEN I ASKED THEY COULD NOT CONFIRM AND I DID NOT KNOW WHERE TO SIT DOWN AND CONFIRM BRAEKFAST. NOBODY AT THE MAIN GATE BUT DID NOT WAIT LONG FOR HELP.

On the day I was checking out, I ordered breakfast, and it took long, it was really wonderful though. The plate was ice cold as a result the food got cold extremely quickly. It would be appreciated if that could be addressed and improvement shown

• Thabo (7/5): The accommodation, i.e., room facilities were excellent. Other services were horrible - The location is fine. Easy access to the shopping centres, malls, restaurant, and other tourism offerings. The establishment appeals to me particularly the rooms, reception arrangement, and where the pool is located. The services offered were very limited, i.e., entrance access was a nightmare. The security personnel manning the entrance gate was not available. The receptionist had to undertake all the tasks at hand. He prepared and served breakfast, man the gate, washed and hung the laundry, attended to the electricity which was quite erratic, took phone calls, etc. Breakfast was horrible. Shortage of food, no utensils, no coffee. The breakfast was appalling in general. The swimming was out of order for entire period we spent there. My grandkids, nieces and nephews were not impressed with that eventuality or circumstance.

Whereas I tried to show them the booking via WhatsApp they just told me that they are fully booked. So I have lost my money plus the international transfers fees

• Prudence (3/5): Disappointed - The pools and the view The check in time is 2pm and I got there at 3:30pm and the was a lady busy cleaning. My host send me a WhatsApp after making a booking and ask me to pay R1500 to her personal account to make sure that I won't cancel and for her to pay for our entrance at the pool. She said I will get R500 refund when I check out. Then I found out that she did not pay anything for us for pools entrance and games as she promised. I had to pay R750 for our entrance. After checking out I asked for my refund but she doesn't respond. I'm so disappointed.

• Makhosi (4/5): - The location Upon arrival, we were allocated a room when we checked the bed we noticed that it was not clean, like someone already slept on it. We were then moved to another room. No side lamps. In the morning when we asked about breakfast, which we already paid for, we were told its only served from 7:30. Very late for normal 6:30 breakfast time. We had to leave without eating breakfast.

The first room he sent us to didn’t have power and the second one was not prepared ahead of time, no towels, dusty, roaches, dirty 3. It’s over priced. I mean what facility doesn’t have a smart tv this day an age, especially for the amount we paid. We’ve had better for less of the price in the same area. 4. The shower either wouldn’t switch on at times and it was mouldy and the water pressure was low. 5. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. 6. The environment was weird, uncomfortable, smelly, dirty and overall this was an unpleasant stay. In summary, everything.

• Sean (5/5): Convenient- as we just needed to sleep😑 - Close proximity to where we needed to be The staff was slow, so we had to hoot and hoot or wait at reception for a long time before we were assisted. The microwave was dirty and the bathroom as there was soap in there I’m assuming from a previous guest. Also there was black mould/dirt around the mirror in our room. The dining area was very dirty, making me skip breakfast. The public toilets at the reception area as well were dirty-the floor.

• Baotshodi (4/5): - The receptionist was welcoming It seems like eagle nest is no longer a place that i know,last time we had a problem about the tv,and i was like let me give it a chance,this time again we had the very same issue with the tv that is not working,the staff was making noise at night we had to call the receptionist to tell them that we need to sleep but we can't because of noise,we booked a room with breakfast but we didn't get breakfast because there was no power,how come a place like that don't have option if there is no power? I'm so disappointed.
