• Darcey (10/5): - It is a delightful house - full of character and charm, tranquil and comfortable, and in a lovely setting. The garden is pretty - enjoyed sitting in the sun and reading, whilst chatting to the hens. Kristien and Niko are the perfect hosts, and kindly provided stroopwaffel, Sunday croissants, and eggs from the hens, as well as lots of interesting local information and history.
• Helene (9/5): Very comfortable and quiet - The location is very central and you can walk everywhere. Public transportation to Amsterdam is only a 5 minute walk away. Lots of little stores and restaurants within walking distance. House is located on the edge of a canal so the surroundings are beautiful. Lovely garden between the unit and the owners house provided privacy. Kitchen is well appointed and the beds were comfortable. There was no door to the shower room so no privacy when taking a shower. No place to hang coats downstairs or hang clothes in the open concept bedroom upstairs. Being an older Dutch house the stairs are extremely steep which made it difficult to carry our suitcases up when we arrived and difficult to carry them back down when we left.
• Eva (9/5): - Super vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer die erg bereid waren om mee te denken/ons te helpen! Prachtig plekje met fijn terras en als bonus: verse eitjes/boterkoek, aanrader!
• Bonnie (9/5): - Het huisje is ontzettend knus, goede bedden, lekkere warme douche en alles is aanwezig. Dichtbij de winkeltjes en restaurants. Ontzettend hartelijke gastvrouw en voorzag ons van goede tips. Ook de croissants op zondagmorgen waren erg attent.
• Walter (9/5): Erholsame Tage im Dorf unweit von Ijsselmeer und Amsterdam - Historisches Häuschen im Ort, alles fussläufig erreichbar. Super einerichtete Küche, sehr schönes Wohnambiente, Frische Eier von den Hühnern im Garten, Croissants und Obst von den freundlichen Vermietern.
• Susan (10/5): Eine kleine Idylle - Ein kleines Paradies! Man hat das Gefühl in einer heilen Welt zu leben in einem mit viel Liebe zum Detail renovierten typischen holländischen Haus. Und dazu noch die perfekte Gastgeberin Kristien, die sich herzlich um uns kümmerte: vom Empfang an, frischen Eiern von den Hühnern - die im Garten frei laufen durften - bis zu den warmen Croissants am Morgen. Leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte an diesem wunderschönen Fleckchen. Und lange nicht mehr so gut geschlafen - hervorragende Betten. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Kristien!!! Die Lage in dem malerischen Edam ist optimal Leider könnte die Treppe in die obere für manche Gäste etwas problematisch sein. Dusche und Toilette sind bei einer Belegung mit 2 Personen ok Auch sollte das Fernsehen nicht so wichtig sein
• Lidia (9/5): - La casa tiene mucho encanto, está situada en un barrio tranquilo donde es posible aparcar gratis sin problema, está limpia y bien equipada, el jardín es agradable y los dueños de la propiedad son amables y atentos, incluso nos dejaron utilizar sus bicis, y qué decir de las simpáticas gallinas...ya las estamos echando de menos 😂 Por poner una pega, la distribución del baño resulta un poco incómoda.
• Marianne (10/5): - Volledig eigenstandig huisje met goed geoutilleerde keuken en terrasje met zitje op rustige plek in aangrenzende tuin van boerderijwoning in centrum Edam, een tuin waar kipjes lekker langs kwamen scharrelen. Het huisje was op loopafstand van Stille Toren waar onze cursus plaatsvond. De eigenaresse was uiterst hartelijk en zo vonden wij ook verse eitjes en later nog een heerlijk notenbrood en ook nog eens verse croissants op het tuintafeltjes. Marieke en ik hebben genoten van het gastvrije verblijf aldaar! Super heerlijke week!

• Douglas (9/5): A relaxing five days in Edam. - It was spacious with an old world charter. Nice garden with lovely, friendly chickens. The hosts were very nice too. Good location for exploring North Holland. The steep winding stairs. We couldn’t get the TV to work. You were expected to pair it with your mobile and use your Netflix account. We don’t have one.
• Tina (9/5): Lovely home and lovely hosts. Would highly recommend 😊 - Super cute. Well appointed with everything you need. The owners allowed us to use their bikes too which was very convenient. The stairs are a struggle if you have luggage.
