Guest Reviews
- Russ (10/5): - Great welcome, clear and friendly communications. Lovely, well-equipped cottage in a convenient location for exploring the Cotswolds. Nothing!
- Sophie (10/5): Lovely 2 nights away. - How quirky it is, so homely and welcoming. Could improve by having Televisions in the rooms.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): - Alles war ok
- Armstrong (8/5): Perfect for our short trip to visit family in the area. - Clean, spacious, very well equipped. The coffee machine was a bonus. Lovely location. Quiet. Needs one more dining chair for 5 to sit at the table. Would have liked a physical manual with all the operating instructions for all the machines and the heating. Would have found a king size bed more comfortable.
- Marjorie (10/5): Very comfortable, and perfect for our needs, a meet up for old school friends . A Homely feel - Not applicable Nothing
- Dawn (5/5): Ok but upstairs need some TLC - Location was lovely Very damp unfortunately caused me to cough a lot
Bedrooms needs a in-depth clean and decorating, wallpaper peeling although very old property some serious dusting of cobwebs needed.
- Kevin (8/5): Enjoyed it. - It is attractive and comfortable though there was an issue. The record player, pictures and traditional rug were a nice touch. Very helpful friendly staff. The dining arrangement and lounge as laid out not suits four rather than five people. One of our party had difficulty sleeping on the single bed, finding it uncomfortable. Some of our party didn’t find it spotless, though I thought it fine.
- Raquel (10/5): -
- Helen (10/5): Beautiful charming cottage, with 2 living rooms. Parking for one car only. Any others have to park on the main country r -
- Jacquie (8/5): Loved it. Highly recommended. - We thought the cottage was very cosy. We were specially pleased with the kitchen facilities. The bedrooms were very comfortable. A little waste bin in the bedroom would have helped but that is a minor point
- Mundeep (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house, it had everything we needed for our family holiday. Great location, would definitely stay there again.
- Peter (10/5): Book this! - Location amazing and kitchen well stocked- wood fire in snug perfect !
- Angela (10/5): Most fabulous stay - Liked absolutely everything Parking
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous little cottage in Randwick. Rooms were spacious and warm. Kitchen facilities great and shower had good water pressure.
Perfect location for walking in the woods, and for visiting family in Cashes Green.
Local pub (Vine Tree) serves great food too.
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Philippa (10/5): Lovely family break, peaceful and relaxing after a hectic break in Cornwall. Beautiful cottage in - Loved everything
- P (9/5): beautiful location and friendly service - friendly and flexible, communication goof
- Alan (8/5): A property with a view. - The location and the ability to sleep 4 adults and one infant was key to our choice and Springbank Cottage was able to do this. The nearby very highly recommended pub, The Vine Tree also proved to be a great place to eat the evening we arrived. There was plenty of hot water for showers etc.
There were some amazing views across the valley, even over the roof of the house from the top of the very steep back garden.
The information we received prior to going to the property were first class, well done, thank you. There is still quite a bit of work to do in the garden, given this is an ongoing project it is worth being aware of this, but the views from the top are quite special.
- Hannah (10/5): Wonderful! - The property was absolutely beautiful! The facilities were perfect for our group of five and the home had a completely homely cosy feel. The house was absolutely spotless! I would highly recommend. The Neighbour Franca came to knock on the door and let us know she would be sorting the recycling out the back and wanted to alert us that she would just be popping round and make sure we weren’t spooked! We ended up chatting for a while and she told us about the local area and amenities and showed what a wonderful friendly village we were staying in! Thank you for the tips on the roads too Franca! That helped make our journeys easier. The local area was absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit!
Also thank you to Dominic who was our contact for booking who helped us out of hours to get the key code lock for the property highly appreciated!
- Fiona (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (10/5): Hope to book again, but direct - The cottage, the house with lots of space, the village is pretty. Everything in good working order.
The village has great views, but the pub we found crowded and with a lot of dogs! Property all good, maybe it needs a curtain in the bathroom.
We would like to return, but we will be booking directly with the owner next time to ensure accountability, and better communication.
- Redwood (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Lovely character cottage. Very comfortable for our stay. No problems.
- Sheena (9/5): Superb -
- Natalie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful village, lovely sized cottage. Mattresses could do with updating, husband and child struggled to sleep.
- Seamas (10/5): Lovely cottage up a steep hill just outside Stroud , ideal for our visit to Cheltenham Races -
- Carla (9/5): Excellent, cosy time - I love the cottage atmosphere, well equipped, cosy and with all you need. You can put a record on, use the amazing oven, make an espresso, the room were quite good sized considering that this is a cottage. You get the Cotswolds atmosphere. A little difficult to park the car. But we didn’t ask if we could use the garage. No idea. Worth to ask.
- Charlotte (10/5): A lovely cottage for a few days away - Lovely cottage, great location, spotlessly clean, very well equipped. The chairs in the lounge weren’t very comfortable .
- Mark (9/5): Great location for a family visit. Super well equipped cottage with everything for a comfy stay -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (6/5): It is a pleasant cottage but with a few extra touches (and dealing with the mouse infestation) would have made the stay - The location and views were nice. It was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable. We found a mouse on arrival (which we could not catch) and there was evidence that they were getting into the food cupboard as a bag of porridge had been nibbled. We also found the cottage quite cold. There were only a few small pieces of wood for the stove. This did not even allow for a few hour’s warmth and we had to go out the first day to get some additional wood for the fire just to heat the cottage up. There was also not a hairdryer in any room which would have been expected.
- Di (8/5): Very good - Very well equipped and comfortable Just one bathroom between 5 adults
- Karolina (10/5): Amazing stay. Lovely location and the property well equipped. Would definitely recommend. - The property had everything we need to have a comfy stay. N/a
- Chris (8/5): Peaceful location and lovely base for a short break. - Lovely peaceful property in quiet & peaceful village overlooking Stroud valley; great walks straight out from the property and lovely local pub for drinks & food in the village 5 mins walk away. Property was quite chilly! Central heating on timer for a few hours morning & evening, and log burner in 'snug' area with a few logs for the evening, but daytime temperature of around 15 degrees in the property was chilly in January!
- Margaret (10/5): It was an immensely enjoyable stay, I’d recommend this accommodation to anybody and will defo book it again - It was a fabulous welcoming cottage, I can only describe it as being quaint & comfortable . The stove when lighting was done warm and inviting and there was plenty of timber available for it. The accommodation was extremely clean and just fab I liked everything about the cottage
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Lovely, clean cottage which was prefect for a few nights away to catch up with friends. The heating was on a timer, so it was very cold when we arrived. However after messaging the host they told us how to change this.
- Marcella (8/5): Beautiful and spacious cottage in Cotswolds - The house is super cozy and comfortable, rustic and modern at the same time! We had a great time!
The bed linens and towels were super clean, like everything else in the house. We just wished there were more coffee pods available, as we were 5 people and there was only 1 pod. But aside from that, the house was super equipped with everything we needed
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Really comfortable and warm. Lovely views. Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Lala (10/5): Cosy Cotswold cottage - Lovely cottage, well presented, plenty of home comforts and kitchen utensils to make everything very pleasant. Really enjoyed our stay with the family. Nothing
- Susan (9/5): Classic cottage with modern kitchen and bathroom. Hotel style fluffy towels and nice linen. - Excellent village location, snuggled into the hillside. Spacious rooms and well equipped. Thankfully the property included a car parking space which meant you are able to park right outside the cottage.
