Guest Reviews
- joanne (6/5): My stay - I would advise that the owners of the home take a look , give the home some attention and you will give get - The location
Beds comfortable Garden is overgrown , needs TLC, we cut the grass and picked up loads of mouldy apples
Would not call it dog friendly
Curtains did not pull in the main bedroom , as we pulled them , they fell down . I did message with no response .
Instructions to get there , should state on the corner of shearway as we got lost .
Lots of stains on walls
The post was concerning due to notice on them .
The cupboard on the stairs was full of post .
To open the gate was a nightmare due to overgrown hedges and ivy .
Having no blinds or curtains in kitchen area.
The bin in garden is full of maggots.
The garden is full of weeds .
The windows are full of cobwebs outside.
The wheely bin was out the front again! Over filled and stunk .
No Instructions on how to use certain stuff like washing machine and the machine had stuff in it .
No curtain on the landing .
The picture of the bathroom and kitchen do NOT match on booking.com to the bathroom and kitchen that is in house , its not a walk in shower its a bath with shower over it , kitchen completely different
The table in living room seats 4 people but it’s for 8 people plus .
- David (4/5): Folkestone August Stay 2025 - Location was good. Host responded when contacted, although responses were far to late to be helpful. This was not luxury. Cobwebs all over the kitchen. Not enough crockery - glasses or mugs for eight, even though it is described as a room that could accommodate 10 people. Seating around the dining table was for 4 people even though hosts knew 8 people would be staying. Absolutely no information about anything, including how things worked. Dirty and unemptied food waste bin and wheelie bins. Hoover didn't work. There is clearly no monitoring of this property by those in charge of it, especially the cleaning as there is a cupboard with an enormous amount of unopened letters and paperwork just littering the floor of the cupboard. It is a real shame as with some time and care this really could be a place worth returning to. At £630 for 3 nights, there would be adequate funding to rectify decor, crockery and seating deficiencies, especially as booking.com suggests that it is booked frequently over the summer months and beyond.
- Laura (1/5): - We had booked this property as we were visiting the area for a family wedding.
I had paid for the booking and a few days before we were due to stay, they cancelled our booking, leaving me to have to find somewhere else at short notice. Not happy at all!
It’s a good job I had the funds available to book somewhere else, as I am still waiting for my refund. Booking.com said refund takes 7-10 working days. Not good enough when you have had your booking cancelled at short notice!
- Nigel (5/5): - Space location Not clean at all.
Couldn’t get in when arrived. Spent hours phoning for code
- Daniel (5/5): Done the job for 1 night - Handy for the channel tunnel Grubby and hard to get hold of the host through booking.
- Stacey (3/5): - Location How unclean and the up keep of the house
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bryan (1/5): We should be re-imbursed. - Nothing The beds had been slept in, were unmade. There was bottles and rubbish around the property. The bins were overflowing and the outside one had maggots dropping out of it as well as rubbish strewn around the garden. Had it not been as late at night we wouldn’t have stayed but had no option. Someone came to change the beds around 1015pm.
- Grigorevy (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoyed it. New beds, New crockery, clean. Recently made cosmetic repairs. Good smell in the house. Yay, there's absolutely no mould. Convenient location and you can put two cars. Would like more garden furniture. Thank you. We would come again.
