Guest Reviews
- Heather (10/5): - The serenity Nothing
- Joshua (9/5): -
- christian (2/5): not good - didn't like the freon gas leak coming from the fridge. didn't like the lack of ventilation. no opening windows. didn't like the roosters noise from the neighbouring property. didn't like that my husband had to help move the toxic fridge outside and schlep another one in from upstairs shed next door. liquid soaps were not refilled and quite certain the shampoo supplied was Palmolive dish detergent. way too hot at night as mentioned due to lack of ventilation. ceiling fan was useless. sheets scratchy. no apologies from the host for the toxic fridge gas leak
- Trevor (10/5): -
- Betts (9/5): - the quirkiness of the property felt like a tree house the roosters next door ,otherwise would have been a ten
- Lisa (7/5): get away location... - Location beautiful poorly equipped kitchen if your wanting to cook a full meal.
- Stephen (6/5): Great location property maintained and presented better - The location and the views were spectacular The description does not adequately describe the set up of this location, although there are two sleeping areas everything is open plan so provides limited privacy
It was not particularly warm when we visited and the heating system is not sufficient to heat this huge open plan area
There was out of date food in the fridge, not a good thing
This holiday home could be stunning it just lacks a bit of TLC unfortunately
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -

- Paul (10/5): Gorgeous views. Cosy and comfortable - Beautiful property
Great facilities
- Judith (10/5): All about the location, comfort and outlook. - Loved the views and location. Very peaceful. Everything you could need was on hand. As a older person found the stairs a little confronting and opted not to take my luggage upstairs. No problem with keeping the bulk of it downstairs. Managed OK 👌
- Crystal-lee (8/5): Very good -
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible interior with huge windows to enjoy the beautiful view.
- Katrina (8/5): Very good - Great location with a beautiful view
Very peaceful and relaxing The bed was a little uncomfortable, but we did sleep in the fold out bed downstairs because the weather was hot and we thought upstairs would be a bit warm.
- Deidre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - The house was warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely return for future trips in the area. Couldn't figure out the wifi. Seemed to be mosquitos in the house, probably hard to resolve but we all got bites.
- Julie (9/5): A fabulous unique house. Stunning views across the river - The security code supplied by Booking.com was not correct. I didn’t like that Booking.com didn’t supply accurate updated entry code
- Mark (10/5): A property that really lives up to its name - Serenity. - The property was located on the crest of a hill with beautiful views of the Derwent River and surrounding valley. The pole-house design was very interesting and the accommodation was spacious and well-maintained with excellent kitchen and laundry facilities and lovely outdoor decking areas. Caution was required when using the spiral staircase to the upper bedroom, but it was not an issue. Good-sized air conditioners upstairs and downstairs for heating and cooling. The excellent location enabled trips to a range of attractions close by including New Norfolk, Richmond, the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (highly recommended), Mt Field National Park and even Hobart was only a 25min drive away. A bonus was the nearby location of the well-regarded Stefano Lubiana Winery at the end of the road. Make sure you brush the driveway gravel from your shoes before going inside or you'll be sweeping it up from the polished timber floor. Can get warm during the day if you don't open the two skylight windows in the upper bedroom.
- Chang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristy (9/5): We loved our stay at Serenity! - Great location, very quiet, beautiful view, but also with easy access to Hobart and surrounding areas. The kids loved the ‘tree-house’ style and overall very cosy and charming.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - A great base to explore from and escape people (should you wish to!). Beautiful design with everything you need.
- David (9/5): Lovely comfortable clean residence with many additions to make your visit easier - Location was in view of River Derwent, which was clearly visible through large front windows. Linen was good quality, beds comfortable, washing machine ironing board, full kitchen with good assortment of utensils.
Rev cycle heating, second bedroom was upstairs on spiral staircase. Second bedroom only accessible by fully mobile visitors as spiral staircase not very large.
- Ken (9/5): peaceful , enjoyed the birds and rabbits . - peaceful not enough vegetation
