- Jo (10/5): Close to nature in luxurious treehouse - The location is peaceful, secluded and teeming with nature. The host Ivona was incredibly friendly, welcoming and warm. The treehouses she has created are super spacious and comfortable. We loved going down to the river to swim in clear waters and feel the little waterfalls. The kitchen has two hobs, great fridge and kettle etc so we could cook our own meals. We are artists and found the studio perfectly lit for drawing and the surroundings inspiring. It's also very cosy at night for watching a film and truly relaxing. Must say again that Ivona was so helpful and supportive, we really felt taken care of during our stay.

- Valerie (10/5): Just wonderful in all aspects! If you decide to go there, please respect the nature nearby! - Super friendly and uncomplicated host, someone was always available if we needed anything, even when she was on a business trip for a few days. Also, the most adorable cat lives on the site and comes visit you sometimes if you are lucky. The tree houses are clean, modernly furnished and very comfortable - the host even left us some basic groceries and eggs from her own chicken farm for cooking a meal right after arrival! The kitchen is well equipped, kind size bed is super comfortable with a roof window directly over it - all in all very convenient! The best thing about the tiny houses are their absolutely stunning location: You are in the middle of a quiet and charming forest, no people or cars around and just a 5min walk from the most beautiful spot at the river Korana, where you can lie in the sun and swim in crystal clear, refreshing water. The entire area is a marvel of nature, you can hike for hours through the forest, to nearby little farms or to other places at Korana river. By car you reach the beautiful little old town of Rastoke/Slunj in 15mins, where there are also lots of hikes and bike trails. In 40mins by car you can visit the famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, but even though they are absolutely stunning, we preferred the quietness of nature in our little retreat to be honest. The next (tiny) supermarket and restaurant is a 40min walk or 5min by car, but there are lots of options to shop and eat down the main road to Rastoke. The final cherry on top of it all is the fact, that the entire accommodation is built in a environmentally friendly and sustainable way with local building materials and powered by solar energy. The host seems very mindful about the surrounding nature and wants to offer an alternative to the overtourism and upscaling-craze you will find further down near the Plitvice lakes. Let´s hope the place stays as small, quiet and respected as it is and will not become as crowded as Plitvice! Since the place is promoted as sustainable (which it already very much is!), it would be amazing to have a charging station for electric cars there. The place is not accessible by public transport, so one has to use a car. Alternatively, a rental bike would be convenient, so one didn´t have to use the car so much for groceries and so on (You can rent bikes at the hotel just down at the main road though!). Also, most farmers in this area (not our host of course!) unfortunately keep their dogs in a very degrading way on chains as watchdogs and are neglected sometimes, so they constantly bark during the day and sometimes night. But with closed windows it was no problem to sleep, since it´s very well isolated.

- Krešimir (10/5): Cozy cabin in the woods experience, exactly what we wanted - We stayed in "Water" cabin which is slightly more secluded than the others (furthest away from the other cabins), which is what we preferred. The window and balcony have a view of the forest. It was snowing, so we had the ideal isolated cozy cabin in the woods during winter situation. All doors and windows have quality mosquito nets. On the first floor there is a cozy couch, tv, kitchen with all utensils you need for a short stay, and a nice, clean bathroom. On the upper level there is a nice bed and window. The whole cabin is heated via AC, but you don't even need to have it on for long. The place is well isolated. We slept with AC off and window cracked open, and this is during the winter with degrees below zero Celsius. You can tell the place was built and equipped with love. Every piece of equipment is a quality brand. We stayed for 3 nights. On the second morning, we saw pawprints in the snow around the cabin. Later that night, we saw who was responsible for those pawprints; it is Mišo, the owner's cat. It appears that he was scouting us for the first two days and decided to reveal himself. We let him in and he became our companion. I would suggest you ask to see Mišo, but I do not want Mišo to grow fond of any other guests there. We made a bond and I am not a cat person at all. Mišo could have revealed himself earlier.

Kava na terasi je zaista poseban doživljaj. Ovo je bio doslovno odmor za dušu i tijelo. S obzirom da nismo stigli vidjeti i doživjeti sve što bi htjeli, nadamo se ponovnom dolasku.

Located in a forest, but not too far from the main road it offers peace and quiet while still being accessible to everyone. There aren't many places in Croatia that offer this kind of experience so be sure to check it out. The fact that I had to leave :)

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by both the stunning exterior and the beautifully designed interior of the property and the property itself. The fact that it is zero-waste, plastic-free treehouse makes it all even more special. The location of the house is truly magical. Nestled amidst nature, the serene surroundings create a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The picturesque views and the peaceful ambiance made our stay extra special. The house itself is a masterpiece. Every corner is tastefully furnished, combining comfort and elegance seamlessly. It was evident that a lot of thought and care had gone into the decor, making us feel right at home. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable, and it was equipped with all the necessary accessories to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay. One of the highlights of our experience was the exceptional communication with Ms. Ivona and her sister. They were incredibly helpful, and always available to address our needs and questions. Their warm and pleasant demeanor made the entire process smooth and enjoyable, adding a personal touch to our stay that we greatly appreciated. And when you hear how the whole place was built and imagined, you can not be less than amazed. Every effort they made in making this fairytale is seen with every step you take inside the house and around the property. It is one-off a one-of-a-kind experience. - Danica (10/5): A weekend at the Wind house - I spent a wonderful relaxed weekend in Wind house with my partner and daughter (3yo). We were amazed by the beauty of the place since the moment we arrived. The property is settled in excellent location, not far away from the road D1 to Plitvice lakes, but also deep into the woods. You just hear birds and river Korana which is 10 min walking from house. Wind house has its terrace looking into the woods, interior as well as exterior are really outstanding. House is very clean and spatious with everything to make your stay there even more comfortable (microvawe, TV, internet, induction stove, air condition, fridge...). There's couch in the living room and double bed on galley, so we've had more then enough space. Ivona, the owner, welcomed us so warmly. Her story about building this whole place is trully inspiring. We are so grateful for the nice peaceful moments we've had while staying at Tree elements. Already planning to come back soon. We trully liked everything!
- Marta (10/5): Holiday house in amazing greenery, far from noise, yet close to good roads. - Wooden houses are perfectly blended within the forest, river is 5 minute walk, perfect for swimming and enjoying the small waterfalls, very quiet and peacefull far from roads. Interior is beautifully decorated, and the terrace is very spacious. Hosts are easygoing and welcoming. High quality, yet afordable restaurants are 5-10 min by car. Everything was perfect!
- Ivica (10/5): Perfect little nature getaway for soul calming and a good night's sleep. - This place is just fantastic. Location is perfect. It's secluded, quiet and peaceful. Owners were pleasant, cooperative and informative. Our unit was a little bit isolated from other ones and we really liked it that way. I cannot state enough the beauty of the place. Both the house and the nature around it. And what's best, there is a synergy between the two. The house is elevated, it almost seems like it's entangled in the treetop. Materials are also nice, there is mostly wood, but mixed with aluminum or even steel maybe? Interior decorating follows the trend. Warm wood colors with some nice decors, ie. blue kitchen cabinets, industrial like bathroom tiles and nice bronze accents throughout the whole house. Even the TV unit was Samsung's "frame" which uses wooden frame with static imagery on display (when not watching TV) to make it look like art. I would also like to compliment a big amount of windows in the house, and large glass wall as an entrance to the terrace. Every one of them also has mosquito/bug nets. And cherry on top is the amount of thoughtfulness that owners put into the unit. We had slippers to maintain cleanliness, 2 towels per person, waste separation in 4 bins, water heater, quality air conditioner and even an electric roof window. Oh, and the river is only a 5-10 minutes walk from the place and it's really beautiful. Only little thing I would change is the mattress. Although I'm privately using firm ones, not everybody likes them. It would be better to have a little bit softer ones.

- Ana (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, excellent treehouse, excellent host. The house is surrounded by woods, and the view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. A perfect place to relax, in an extremely quiet and safe neighborhood. An excellent starting point to explore the area (Rastoke, Plitvice, Slunjčica trail, River Korana is just a few minutes' walking distance). Everything is very clean, nice, and very well decorated. The host, Ivona, was very nice, and everything was super easy; we felt very welcome. We would be happy to come back again! Absolutely recommended for families with kids!
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, peaceful, comfortable. Easy drive to Plitvice Lakes and some really spectacular hikes nearby (e.g. Slunjcica trail). We stayed for 3 nights and wish we stayed longer because this is really a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries. Sitting on a terrace with a cup of tea and a book was my favourite. The aesthetics of the little house surrounded by the forest reminded us of Scandinavian retreats but in much warmer climate. In the village nearby there are both small supermarkets and several restaurants serving local style breakfast-lunch-dinner. We liked that it’s not a standard corporate development but a unique project by the owner and you feel like you are contributing to the local community development. Ivona is a warm and considerate host: she can share with you the story of her project or equally happy to leave you in peace if you prefer.
